Anyone else have long cycles, and want to join me on the long wait for O?

Hi Tallmom2be

It is difficult not trying to get impatient or constantly think about your cycles. I'm due a smear test and keep saying wait until AF then I'll book .... At this rate I won't be getting it done anytime soon.

I didn't realise raspberry leaf tea could help with regulation I've still got some in my cupboard. I've heard of fertilaid but haven't known anyone try it, hope it starts working for you.

Think I'll start taking the vitex again and perservere a little bit longer with it. I was convinced I was getting AF early because of the PMT. I'd really like to go to the doctors to see if they could help but don't think they will be too bothered ?? I'm also assuming they will just tell me to lose weight.

What are you doing to chart ? Are you just taking your morning temp?

Sorry about your m/c

I reccommend red raspberry leaf tea, a cup a day. Let the tea bag steep for 10 min. Covered. The tea will work on a more medicinal level that way:)
If you are on fertility drugs ask you doc first:)

I use a BBT it measures to the 100th degree. And I take my temp at re same time every morn. Before I get up or move around too much. Then I use fertilityfriend.com.

If you want to hold off on vitex you can try soy isoflavones, which you only take from cd2-6 or 1-5. Give or take. It's known as natures clomid. But vitex and SI counteract each other. Also AF has got to come to be able to use SI. And we r currently in TTC limbo:nope:

Check out yoni tea, that has a combination of herbs in it. I'm drinking that too:thumbup: it has red raspberry leaf in it too.

I hope all our cycles regulate soon!

:dust:

My ultrasound is less then 3 wks away, so hopefulyl I will get answers then

:hi: Ladies !

How is everyone?
SKP - good luck for your ultrasound it must be coming up soon

Well I'm on cd 78 and getting impatient. I know I should try not to think about it . Got things this coming week then I'm going to start the vitex again and see if that helps to bring on AF.

When / if did you decide to visit your doctors for the first time regarding your long cycles? I want to go but don't know if they will just blame it on being overweight.

Hi Jellycat:flower:
Sorry about your long cycle, I know how frustrating it can be.
I havent visited a doctor yet either, I'm on cd59 and had a positive OPK two days ago and I'm waiting for my temps to rise. My body has a history of gearing up for O but then not following through. So fx for this time.
I've been taking fertilaid for a month and a half. That has vitex. I've read that vitex needs to be taken for up to 6 mo. to start having an effect.
Your weight isn't necessarily the reason why your not having regular cycles. I really believe what kinds of food one eats and their stress level has a bigger impact.
Here are some things to cut out of ones diet:
Soda (all, even diet)
Fast food
Anything with high fructose corn syrup in it, MSG or aspartame.
White bread (eat whole grains/wheat instead)
Cut down on sugar, especially refined
Cut down or eliminate coffee/caffeine (drink green tea instead)
Cut out alcohol, cigarettes and any other drugs
I read a fertility diet article that mentioned that whole fat dairy is better for women who are TTC.

With all that being said, if something doesn't change for the better for me by the end of this month, I'm going to go to get a fertility check up. Fx I won't have to:thumbup:

Gl Jellycat, maybe try fertilaid too? Www.fertilaid.com
lots of :dust: to you!

6 more days until my ultrasound. No news to report yet. Except a 2 week spotting period with cramps, now nothing. So I don't know if I had an actual period, or even my 4 day one in Jan counts as one. If that don;t then I havent had a true period since December!

Hi SKP, how did your ultrasound go? I hope you found some answers, keep us posted. :hugs:

I'm going for one this week. I'm really curious. Hope your well.

It went okay, as far as I see, it looks fine to me. The hardest part was drinking 3 bottles of water, 90 mins b4. I don't know how preggie women do it lol

SKP - was that the news you were hoping for? Will you be seeing a consultant with the results? :hugs:

SKP- I'm glad they didn't find anything shocking! Im also curious if there will be someone going over the results with you? What do you think your next step will be?
:hugs:

My next step is to arrange an appointment from the doctor to discuss the ultrasound.

I had a "result " from an opk on June 6th, and today I know have slight cramping with some pink. So possibly AF is coming...Hopefully. or IB? But things could be a week off, since I was a week early in Jan.

According my calculations that Ovulation should be around June 6, and I had a slight result so I don't know if it happened or it was to come. But its 9 days from that and Im pinking.

Plus we had air conditioning last night. And after it was off, I couldnt get to sleep becuase I was so warm like having a hot flash. Been BD'ing every odd day; who knows.

Im glad from what I can see there was nothing, but then again I m not a doc lol.

My next stop is to try to regulate myself. I have a huge feeling this whole mess is my body adjusting. Its almost a year now full time ttc, using preeseed, Bdin'g quite regularly, no medications. So who knows.

All my tests so far have been normal.

Hi ladies:flower: I found out that I have a small cyst on my right ovary. I'll be speaking with my doc. Today about possible treatment. I'm thinking that they will want to see if it goes away on it's own. I'm taking turmeric in milk (yuck) once a day to see if that helps. Last night was my first dose and my temp has gone down today. The cyst was fooling my body into thinking it was pregnant:(

Hope they are able to give you lots of options at the doctors. What does turmeric in milk do?

It's good for ridding cysts and tumors.

Started AF today! I'm actually happy his cycle is over!

Does anyone know if ovulation can occur wven though here is a cyst on one ovary? I can't seem to find a straight answer online.

Hy everyone, not been back for a while. My cycle are still about 7 weeks long with about 1 day of period. Finally saw a specialist and inhale suspected PCOS... I actually have a load of symptoms.... I have the ultrasound on Tuesday to confirm.
In a state of shock as it might mean we will never have children but glad tha I might be getting answers and a plan of action...

:hugs: at least you have gotten help. Although, lots of women have had babies after being diagnosed with pcos. So don't give up hope! I can't express enough how important a healthy diet is. Fresh green veggies! Lots and lots! Plus a well balanced diet. Low sugars, less processed foods, etc.

I found out I have a small complex cyst on my right ovary, fearing the pcos diagnoses myself. Im going to start taking turmeric next week, two capsule a day. Its good for many things and ridding cysts is one of them!
I hope you get your baby! Think positive:)
