TTC@40, I'm sorry this didn't work for you, hopefully your first round of IUI/IVF will be a success!

No IUI for me (or ever unfortunately b.c DH won't go that far), the ovidrel is just to make sure I do O once the eggs are 20mm. I've read 18mm is good but the specialist wants to see 20mm, well, at least that is what the nurse said. We'll see tomorrow!

And tigerlillies my hubby hasn’t actually committed to doing the IUI yet… at this point though at least he is thinking about it now though… before he was dead set against it… so good direction we are going in anyway...

So my update….FS visit with hubby today... so we were both able to talk do the Dr….

FS is really happy that it appears I am responding well to fertility drugs at all...(He said not all women do actually... didn’t know that) He said he saw a lot of positives from the Clomid (3 big follicles) and my estrogen was nice and high on my CD10..BUT…my CM is hositle and my lining was too thin, both I guess a big side effect from Clomid. He said with injectibles they rarely see a CM problem because of it or a thin lining issue... But he is pretty confident that just the injectiables may actually be able to do the trick. Just have to make sure that CM is not bad !!! and if perhaps the CM is bad and hubby gives in we may be able to do a IUI this next coming cycle…since I will be all ready to go with having all those injectiable hormones in me…. but I am sure that decision wont be made by him until crunch time… for now I know he is atleast thinking about it.

Hi Jennifer... yes by OB/GYN was the first to prescribe my Clomid... he would only prescribe it at 50mg and said max he would prescribe was for 3 cycles.

Thanks, so now I know that I can ask them to at least give it a try. Sometimes I feel like these GYNs really dont wanna help. Well at least thats how it seems to me. I hope when I go to my GYN on Friday that she will agree with what I wanna try

Ok, I went to the Dr today and took a blood test. They confirmed I am pregnant but my level is low. At 4 days past AF due (3 days after my BFP HPT) my level is 26. I do not know if that is for HCG or progesterone but I am assuming progesterone. They want me to do another blood test in two days to make sure the level is rising. The nurse told me not to worry but I just can't help it. Can anyone offer any insight on the level 26 and if they think this is a bad thing? Is there anything I can do to get my number higher????

my OB doc's nurse just told me that at 5 days past her missed AF her level was only 20 and she just had a healthy baby boy a few weeks ago.. its only important that they double!

I assumed incorrectly and 26 is not my progesterone level it is my HCG level.

I called today and the nurse said because I have never been pregnant and never had a miscarriage there was no reason to test my progesterone levels. The normal range I found online for 4 weeks is between 5 and 426 mIU/ml. Not sure if I should be worried or not, new test tomorrow.

Brill, good luck on your round of clomid! EPO....Erythropoietin? Are you taking it for anemia or for performance enhancement?

Tigerlillies....I always think the same thing when I see EPO! It means Evening Primrose Oil. ;-)

LOL, okay! I don't think it would interfere with clomid but I'm not 100% sure, you might want to double check with a pharmacist or your OB but definitely want to stop using it once you find out you're PG until you're 34-38 wks, then you can start up again to help with labor.

My BFP is now a BFN. My HCG level droped to 4.4 today and I am beyound sad....

@ hopewho... keep your head up. I know its hard but just remember that happened to me to I lost the first one I started bleeding 3 days after af should have came but the next round it made it just keep trying you are more fertile after a loss.... don't give up!
