I had a surprise with #1/2 but I found out with #3. It took so.e of the magic away. It was my third girl and led to feelings on gender disappointment. She's awesome of course but at the time I thought she'd be my last so was a bit sad until the birth. We found out to be more prepared but it wasn't worth it in my case.
This time I think I'll wait. Once they're born I don't care about gender and not knowing did help me focus in my first two labours. My last Labour was shocking but it was the lady who came to my home birth and not due to the fact I knew the gender.
