Anyone trying for #2 around cd 4?

I remember the 1st time round i found the gp appointment a tad underwhelming,but its all going in the right direction to the all important 12 week scan!
It will be here before you know it.
I suppose it is good that you arnt high risk this time round,but its always nice to have more scans.
Im 12 DPO and BFN.I looked on countdown to pregnancy and according to their pregnancy test calculator my AF wont be due till 17 DPO,but thats based on my last cycle being 40 days.Not sure if thats accurate for me as im still getting back to normal after the pill.
All that aside ive got very slight twinges and just have the feeling of dread that AF is on the way.
Hubs and i sat in bed last night talking about how much we would love to be pregnant this cycle as it would have been conceived on his birthday and due around my birthday,fingers crossed.But if not onto the next cycle with a vengeance

12 dpo is still early - esp if you have a longer cycle. Will keep everything crossed for you! Keep us posted. My mum and gran share a birthday - it's so special!

I just feel super paranoid this time (I know I did last time too!) - I know so many people who have had missed miscarriages this year, inc one friend who went to her 12 wk scan to find no baby so sad and horrible. So although deep down I am super super excited, I'm trying to just get on with things and not feel too attached to feeling pregnant etc if that makes sense?! I know I sound crazy and paranoid!! X

Fleur the odds are in your favor, I know the older we get it is more likely but honestly think positive hun and hope for the best. I have my fingers crossed for you!

I am only getting brown blood when wiping and cautiously excited to say I am only wearing a panty liner Gotta take joy in the little things, right!

I woke up and for the first time, in awhile, I actually felt frisky. I also feel bloated so thought that was weird but it may have been the huge meal we had last night, it was good but I really wasn't in the mood to be out but very happy hubby wanted to do something.

I hope and wish for us all to have BFP's AND sticky beans for the new year....

Thanks castaway - I know you're right!! It's so funny isn't it because if someone said to you - you have a 10% chance of living you would assume that you were going to die (!!) but when you read you have a 10% chance on average of miscarriage you think it sounds high?! Crazy

Anyway glad to hear the bleeding is subsiding - woohoo for panty liners and feeling frisky! You definitely have to enjoy these little things along the way I think. Definitely helps!

Girl I almost fell to the floor when the doctor told me at my age 1 in 4 pregnancies ended in miscarriage. I was upset and he looked bewildered and said, "But that means 3 out of the 4 go on to be fine!" It is just a scary realization but yeah my doctor is right we cannot dwell on what can go wrong. We need to have faith that it will go right!!!

I know exactly how you feel Fleur,i dont think it makes any difference how many babies you've had,the lead up to the 12 week scan is a very uncertain time.While you are over the moon to have your BFP,you are scared of MMC etc.I think its good to keep busy.I was so scared the first time round i paid over £100 to have a private scan at 7 weeks,just cos i wanted to see it haha! you dont sound craxy and paranoid,its all part of being pregnant.
Castaway- glad the bleeding is starting to subside,im sure you will be back in the saddle before you know it!
Im having slight cramps,have a feeling that AF might be here by the morning,i just hate not knowing!

Thanks girls - I didn't think I would be as nervous this time but I really am! We haven't even told our parents yet!

I considered a scan last time and have been thinking about it this time too but as I got a speeding fine yesterday (!!) my ££ will be going on that instead

Dogtanian - 12dpo is early for AF type cramps I reckon? ESP with a longer cycle. Fingers crossed the witch doesn't arrive overnight and it's uterus stretching cramps instead! X

I hope so Fleur,but as im just off the pill in august i think it might be a shorter cycle.When i had my BFP with DD at 15 DPO,I was testing way too early and was BFN at 14 DPO,so maybe im a late implanter,thats the theory i would like to believe

I have a question, not sure if you ladies know but since I took that medication vaginally, mistoprol, is it in my system still? I mean I didn't swallow it? I was just wondering if we try again before waiting for Af...I wanna wait until the end of November but was wondering if you ladies ever heard anything about that...

Im out,the got me.
On the posiive side i ovulated this was backed up by CM temp and OPK,and i had a good LP of 12 days.
Onwards to the next cycle!
I dont know anything about that medication Castaway,but most things dont stay in the system that long if you've just taken it once

My oh and I have just been out on a long walk and we were both talking about how we are going to try properly next month as this month was a real half hearted attempt lol with all the house moving distractions. So... Going to throw everything at it next month lol if the witch gets me. I have not a single symtom as usual so think I'll be out again. Lol so we're going to try cbfm, I'm gonna get eating those Brazil nuts, need some folic acid tablets, need liposuction (oh no that's for me and not baby making), a penis beaker... Ha ha ha that penis beaker gets me every time!! Too funny. Girls I accidentally managed to eat McDonalds and Dominos all in one day yesterday. It was sooo yummy!! So back onto healthy eating today boo.

Twinks, don't be hard on yourself, moving is super stressful so it's fine to have taken a more chilled approach this time! And you still don't know you're out yet.

The other thing worth trying is preseed - I got both bfps using it so am a fan

Definitely get out the penis beaker! Ours has been out into storage!!!! Poor hubby. I am just soooo not in the mood ATM. I don't think we dtd until 8 or 9 weeks with our dd! He hasn't complained though (yet!) probably just relieved not to have to dtd to order!!! ;-)

Fleur where did you buy preseed from? We use conceieve plus but might switch to preseed as ya just never know ha ha!

Aw that's understandable though Fleur as you're in the first trimester. Second trimester you'll have more energy and the penis beaker will be out of storage again ha ha ;-) How are you feeling hun? Times ticking on towards that first scan :-D xxx

What prenatal tablets do you all use too? I think I used sanatogen last time but can't remember!

I am on Vitaone, it is a prescription prenatal it is 1000 folic acid, I just picked up extra folic acid as I am sure I am pretty low on it with all that I have been through. So I now take 1800/day.

I use pressed when we try. I like it and you don't need a lot.

Using O sticks until I have a proper cycle. Then back on the CBFM!

I will start eating much better tomorrow. I have been charting what I eat and have been losing for the last 9 weeks, only 8 pds from my pre-pregnancy weight! Going to keep going, even through first tri. Hoping to get down another 15 then should be good for the pregnancy to gain again.

What is a penis breaker? I am missing out! ha ha ha ha

Good work twinks! You will prob end up getting your bfp now!!!! I ordered a second batch of cbfm sticks which I'm now sending back - always the way keep us updated anyway.

I take pregnacare but I think they are probably all much of a muchness unless you need a specific vitamin - eg in castaways case.

I feel ok, just knackered, occasionally a bit sick and bbs hurt on and off. The penis beaker is def in storage for a while! Hehe! Well dh shouldn't have moaned so much about having to dtd on demand when ttc I did tell him this would happen!!
