Anyone TTC while breastfeeding?

Aww, that's lovely jokerette! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well! X

Doing well here for the most part. Almost 18 weeks along, morning sickness has finally abated except for the occasional food-related flare up.

Got a call from the Dr office today. Apparently baby tested positive for spina bifida on the serum screening. Waiting now for a specialist to set up an appointment for further testing to determine whether or not it was a false positive. I hope so. Not that I wouldn't love the baby any less... but... well, you understand. It's hard to imagine your child limited in any way, so... crossing my fingers that everything is actually okay!

Hope it goes ok kalyrra, will be thinking of you, let us know how you go! X xx

We're scheduled for an in-depth ultrasound Wednesday morning, will hopefully know more then.

Fingers crossed for your scan.

We just started clomid this cycle, I was hugely worried it would affect my milk supply but so far we seem to be fine, porridge for breakfast every morning and flapjacks whenever I see them. Also having acupuncture and have these stud things in my ears between treatments. I forgot how awful clomid makes me feel though.....

Good luck cranberry! If it takes much longer for us I'm going back to the dr to ask about clomid. Nice to know you can take it while breastfeeding!

I'm fairly confident that I'm back to my original fertility, which is low, I never ovulated by myself. If I felt that bf was affecting things I'd have waited longer.
From what I can see, the only risk is the milk drying up but I'm fine so far. The studies were done on women straight after birth though so supply obviously not established.

We had our in depth ultrasound this morning, and everything looks good on baby. No spine deformations, no excess fluid, nothing! The Dr. said that he thinks it's probably my placenta putting out the little extra AFP, and that I'm probably a slightly higher risk so I need to be careful and if I have any spotting or cramping, I need to call it in. But other than that, everything is good! So relieved!

He also said he thinks it's a girl this time! We still have our gender scan next week to confirm, but he seemed fairly confident.

That's great news, bet it's a relief.
Milk still going strong, ds had slept through last week, I did wonder wtf was going on but he's back to waking again now, was good while it lasted... I feel terrible this cycle. Sick, bloated, breathless, shattered, anxious about nothing. Scan is tomorrow, I feel like there has to be some follicles at least!

Thanks :) all good, 2x1cm follicles, I ovulate cd19 last 3 times so I have a week to grow them at least another 7mm so seems I'm responding ok, left ovary is all cysty so ouch, couple who came out before me were crying, sad to see them going in all excited :-(

Milk still going strong so fingers crossed the clomid hasn't affected my supply too much.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well!
Kalyrra- good news on the in depth screening! Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well.

Im actually doing a lot better at home. Just adjusting to this new pregnancy. Im 15 weeks now and it looks like I'm giving my little girl a baby brother this time. Im very excited about it and hoping all goes well with everything else. Been feeling ugly and insecure lately. Too fat for my regular clothes but not big enough for maternity clothes. Om at the stage of just looking fatter and not pregnant. So that has me feeling down. But I'm looking forward to a boy this time. Not that it mattered, but its going to be different than dressing a girly girl.

How are you doing iow bird? My sister is ttc again....she actually was one week behind but just found out it was a blighted ovum. Her body did not try to expel it either so she had to have a d&c... Its been difficult.

Im hoping everyone finally gets their sticky bfps soon. Hope you have a great weekend.

Af just got me again today! Still plodding on! Was feeling a bit defeated when I started spotting 4 days early for af, but we've had a chat and I'm going back to the dr in July if I'm still not pregnant. Feeling a bit more positive now.

Iow-bird, is it possible that youre not ov-ing on the day you think you are? Going back to whrn i was ttc this time, i was doing opk strips and checking cm, and i couldnt get a positive reading on when i was going to ov. I just doing the deed just to be ready for when my opk strip tuned positive. The date the dr gave me for conception is a week off what i actually thought. But i do remember that once my opk turned positive, it stayed positive for about 5 straight days....i was exhausted as i did not want to miss my window. But apparently my window had passed. We caught the egg, but completely off of the day i thought. Breastfeeding really messed with my cycles. Maybe your timing is just off? Or the breastfeeding just really doesnt aggree with ttc? I hope it happens soon and you get your baby....

Hi ladies!! I am currently breastfeeding my 10 month old daughter. I have yet to have a period!! This is our second baby! I did nurse my son and got pregnant with my daughter, so I know it can happen. However, I had a period while nursing my son and I have yet to have one! So I am a little disappointed because I would LOVE to get pregnant with baby #3 here in a couple of months!! Hope all is going well for you ladies!
