floofymad~ I went from nightmares to sexy dreams I would love a good nights sleep. I haven't really slept very good sense I got my BFP. I wonder if it's the nap I have to take during the day.

I had a really weird dream the other night, there was a fire in my house and mytropical fish died, I dont even have tropical fish and I was devistated lol mad dream I know lol

Thanks blakesmom just read your response now. Oh I think you have just made my mind up, Ill do it. I can't wait for my 12 week scan. I'm due the same day as you too which is nice. I'm exhausted tonight but feeling very excited xx

I'm just realizing our boys are really close in age too. Blake was born 12/14/2008---my due date was January 10th 2009 though!!

Oh lovely. How's your little one doing? Mine is going through a naughty stage at the moment although the naughty step is working a treat, he hates it. I'm currently potty training Shay at the moment also as I want him fully trained by the time the little one comes. Buying 2 different size nappies would be a nightmare. Xx

Blake has been a pretty easy kid--we have been fortunate--lately I have to raise my voice more to get his attention--I never wanted to be a "yeller" but gesh I think he has selective hearing at times LOL. I have time off work this week so am hoping to spend some time potty training as well!!

Hey ladies! Probably more of a question for 2nd time moms or mommas-to-be that do some serious research

With my previous doctor I had a dating ultrasound at 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat and everything was perfect. This time (using a midwife who is part of a practice) I have an appointment at 6 weeks for blood work and they will use the doppler to find the heartbeat and then at 10 weeks- do a dating scan. So here is my question- what are my chances of hearing the heartbeat at 6 weeks and 3 days (I should state I am quite chunky )?

From my understanding it is rather unlikely that you will HEAR a heartbeat that early on. I was on the thin side (previous to now - LOL) and my doc wouldn't even attempt to use a doppler until after 10 weeks. She always let me SEE the heartbeat on U/S around 7 weeks. I know at my first appt last time around we couldn't even SEE it at 5w4d. She told me not to worry cause that was to be expected. I went back a little over a week later - at 7 weeks - and was able to see it. So don't get upset if you can't hear it that early on.

I was really lucky with my last pregnancy. I had U/S at practically every appt! My doc was pregnant too - and she has a machine in her office - so she was always using it on me! LOL. That and I was seeing a specialist (for no good reason - so I got extra ones there too!). If I remember right I had U/S at 5w4d, 7w, 11w, 12w, 15w, 16w, 20w, and 26 w? So at least 8. Actually 9 - I had another one in there at some point too after my car accident to make sure everything was ok. It was!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking! I remember the doctor struggling to find it at 12 weeks with Nolan. I may call this week and ask for sure what will happen at this appointment.

Just reread it and the Doppler is the 10-12 week appointment! Pregnancy brain setting in already!

Thought I'd already posted in here and had to reread all the posts. Baby brain already?!

I am 4 weeks 2 days today due 7th April!!!

Gave hubby the pregnancy test and he told me we were pregnant! After 18 months of TTC the first month using Clearblue Fertility Monitor and we got two pink lines!

At the moment I have the constant urge to pee! And eat! Lol. Not much else except swollen boobies! Did wake up suddenly in the middle of the night with my step daughter two nights ago. Will not be repeated as the nausea was the worst I'd ever felt. Kicking hubby out the bed from now on!

Very excited now! Need to phone the Dr this week to make an appointment! Got 4 pregnancy tests left going to use one every couple of days to see the line get darker!

I just bought Palmer's cocoa butter but the smell of the cream really disagreed with me! Wondering if there are any other good, nicer smelling products out there. Thought I'd start early because my tummy's already stretching a little from all the bloating!

I've heard about bio oil too. When are you supposed to start using it?... Gosh, I know nothing. Nada!

i would start using it asap so the skin gets good elastisity but i am also a firm beliver that no cream will stop you getting stretch marks they just help the intensity of them x

I just used baby oil the first time around and didn't get any stretchmarks
