April BD's BRING May BFPs!!

Hey everyone, how goes it?

Started temping again. I sure did love the break I took after O. :haha: I'll probably have a good idea if it will be an O month or not in about a week. If it is anovulatory, I am hoping the exercising and eating right will kick start O and maybe I will just have a late ovulation day. I guess we will find out soon enough.

For the exercising I am doing Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and my elliptical. I had really good success doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred before but I've done that dvd so much I can't stand it anymore.

Gah I really hope I O this month.

Good luck to everyone. I hope we get many bfps this time around :dust:

Sorry I've been MIA everyone! I have been completely exhausted every day after work and just haven't really been online.

Nikki - I hope you get the BFP for Mother's Day! I haven't gotten it confirmed by blood work but I've been taking pregnancy tests daily and the lines seem to be getting darker each time so that's good! Had my orientation appointment today and my first apt with my midwife with be May 9th for my blood work and first sonogram. Super excited!

Amanda - You're still only 11DPO, I didn't get my positive until 15DPO so your still not out!

Sonia - My OPKs looked like that for 2 days in a row so we just BD those 2 nights and the night after.

Nikki - thats good they are putting a rush on things. Always nice to have a day off too! I'm excited for your DH to go get his SA done! I hope we see some progress! I still haven't asked my DH to go again. I just had my birthday, maybe I can squeeze the favor in and call it a birthday present....He did however admit to me that he has been smoking a lot more than I thought he was (he was smoking about a pack a week, now he's up to 4 a week). I told him it deforms his sperm and kills the rest and he went that day and bought an $85 electric cigarette lol.

It's 83 degrees here, I wish I didn't have so much to do so I could go to the beach....I'm also trying to take it easy because I hurt my wrist (the one I have had 5 surgeries on) and it is all swollen and I can hardly move it or grip anything. I say I hurt it but really I have no idea what happened to it. I just woke up Tuesday and I could hardly move it and it's gotten worse everyday. I saw my hand surgeon today and he put me on toradol which is a strong NSAID...I hope it doesn't affect ovulation.

Sonia - your OPKs look positive today and yesterday. I can't remember, you are temping now right?

Nichole - I hope this isn't an anovulatory month for you!!!

Emily - aren't you going for your u/s soon??

damn...just read - toradol may impair fertility and is not recommended for women attempting to conceive...

Rachel - Hi there!
Yes, I have a scan on Monday. Super nervous... can't wait till it's over so I know everything is Ok.

Wat other NSAIDs have you tried for your wrist? I took Etodolac for bursitis in my hip and it seemed to help.

Just motrin and topical voltaren. I've been taking 800mg of motrin with 1000mg of tylenol every 6 hours, and using the voltaren gel which is amazing stuff, but nothing has worked. Oh and arnica gel which is a homeopathic pain reliever...I've had it splinted, icing....everything. So today I have had it in ice all day since I got up, just taking it off long enough for the wrap to get cold again. Seems to be a bit better after just one dose of the toradol. Still hurts like hell but I can move it a bit more. I swear I should just get a hook hand...

Rachel, I hope your wrist feels better. How did you injure it to begin with?

Nichole- Crossing my fingers that you have a regular cycle. On the plus side, exercising and eating healthy will make you feel better regardless :)

Ashlee, how are you feeling besides being tired? Has the reality sunk in yet? Still so happy for you, huge congrats!

Thanks again! No morning sickness yet and hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones that avoids it all together but I won't count on it lol. Other than that bbs have just been super sore and heavy feeling. Had a couple tiny cramps this morning that should just be the ligaments loosening. It's slowly been sinking in, I don't think it will completely until my first apt with my midwife though when I get to see it!

Thanks! I know it's likely still too early... I just see so many girls getting their BFP at 8, 9 & 10dpo so wishful thinking sets in & I hope to get as lucky to find out earlier hahah. I can't remember who has done what so forgive me for asking but did you test and get BFN before you got your BFP at 15dpo? Or did you hold out on testing until then?

At 13DPO I tested and it was a definite BFN, 14DPO there was the faintest line and I thought it was probably an evap but then on 15DPO it was definitely darker so I tested again in the afternoon with an FRER and BAM! :bfp: :)

Good to know, thanks! Makes me feel a little better haha.

Each day I test, I analyze it a little more than the previous test in case I get that super faint positive. With my 2nd daughter, I waited until AF was late and I got my BFP at 17dpo. I waited because the cycle before that I tested frequently during the 2ww and got tons of BFNs and then it ended in a chemical pregnancy a week after AF was due. I was so terrified of another BFN that I kept putting it off but I just can't muster up that same willpower again especially since I have no idea when AF should be arriving haha.

I started testing 10PDO, even though AF doesn't usually show until about 17DPO. I was surprised to see a positive as early as I did, but I've continued to test daily to make sure it's not a chemical, so far so good, got my FX that it stays that way.

Amanda - Originally I had a ganglion cyst...decided to get it surgically removed. Simple surgery, no big deal. I complained after that I had pain up near my knuckles. The surgeon said oh that will go away and said if it wasnt better in a month or two to come back. A few weeks later, 2 of my extensor tendons in my hand ruptured. I had to have surgery that week and my tendons were so friable that only one was salvagable. During the repair surgery I also woke up when he cut my hand open. Yup I remember every bit of it. I did about 5 months of PT only for my surgeon to discharge me and tell me there wasn't anything wrong with it. I had a second opinion 5 days later and was back in the OR that week to fix the original surgeons hack job. Then I had a scar revision....then December of 2011, same hand, I had to go back to surgery again for more problems with it and have 2 more tendons stabilized before they ruptured. In total, I have had 5 surgeries on my poor wrist between fall 2009 and Dec. 2011. So needless to say I am terrified that there is something wrong with it since I didn't injure it at all. But I'm on my second dose of the toradol and it is doing better. Oh and if you are curious why all this occured, my original surgeons answer was that at some point during the surgery my wrist must have become hypoxic.....I'm convinced that he nicked something and just didn't own up to it. My hero surgeon is a rockstar though. He's a plastic surgeon so he's much more gentle than the other guy ever was....

Oh Rachel! :hugs: man, what an ordeal! I hope it can be a thing of the past shortly, no more surgeries!

Waves-- Im crossing my fingers that you get a bfp!

Emily- I'm sure the scan will go amazingly well! You have to post pics of your babes scan pictures! :)

Nichole, how are you doing? When do you think you will O this cycle, if you have a normal, ovulary cycle?

AFM, I had what I thought was O like symptoms today but opk is extremely negative! I guess it is a good thing since OH is away until Sunday. I hope that we can BD Sunday night and his spermies will be good and strong from 4 days of no "action" per se... He has a crazy hectic work schedule when he gets back so I'm crossing my fingers that we will have time, and he will have energy to BD next week!

Happy almost friday everyone :)

Rachel- sorry your in pain. Must be hard to work with the pain!

Cassidy- how are you and DH?!?!

AFM, Just stopped by the specialist to get blood drawn. I asked the nurse if DH can come in next week for an SA, she said yes. So DH said he will go in, hopefully Tuesday or Wed. It has to be once our fertile stage is over and give his body 4 days rest.... Anyways, so I asked her what the point of IUI is when his sperm morphology is 0% (0% can permeate and egg). She said honestly, no point. She said since it only takes 1 sperm she has seen some miracles, but its a roller coaster because we pump you full of hormones and expect you to be normal when you see a BFN. So I think what DH and I decided is if his morphology goes up to 4%-5% we will do IUI mixed with natural. If it is still at 0%-1% we will go to IVF (not totally sure it will be next cycle or wait a bit). Now watch it be 2%-3% which is our debating phase....
Anyways, we should know more next week. Also, still praying for a miracle this cycle and not have to make any decisions about anything.

Rachel - Oh lordy, what an ordeal... I have never had to have surgery, thank goodness... it must be so nerve wracking to be wondering if there is something wrong again... Like Nikki said, with your job, it must be extremely difficult to work with such pain. :(

Nikki - So you said before his morphology only has to be 4-5%... did she say the chances are pretty good of it going up to that cuz of the supplements and everything?

Waves - I can't imagine how frustrated you are! Time must just drag on wondering if AF is going to come, or if you are ovulating, or if you are in fact knocked up! Only time will tell, but this is why I stay away from hormonal BC... I had the Paragard, hormone free IUD, and my cycles didn't miss a beat. After I got off the pill it took 18 months to have a predictable cycle! I swore I would never go through that again! I'm sure that won't happen to you. Apparently my body doesn't react well to hormonal influence.

Emily- Unfortunately she said don't see that much of an increase very often. So we can just cross our fingers. I am hopeful because most of those supplements are found in meat and veggies. When he did his last SA he was on the neutra system diet, which means not much meat and he never has eaten veggies. So I am hopping with the change into normal food and vit (going from never getting the vitamins found in veggies to getting lots of it) it will be one of the cases that really see's a difference. I guess well just see next week what it looks like. Also, when he took his SA last time he was really stressed out, not sure if that means anything. The night before his SA was the night one of his best friends sent us the suicide text and the whole thing. So this time we will make sure he has a relaxing few days leading up to it.

Happy Friday everyone!

Nothing new over here, waiting to O. OPK was still really negative at 2pm today, so i'm guessing that my early O signs were just in my head!

goldstns- I hope DH's SA comes back with good results. I am always fascinated by how strongly affected spermies are by such little things! I hope you get at least 5% so you can have an IUI! (Or better yet, get your :bfp: naturally this month!)

Nikki- I so hope that his SA comes back with great results!! I have high hopes for you after all of the changes you both have been making in your lives!! :hugs: We're gonna see that :bfp: from you soon!!!!

Waves- I know how it feels- it seems for some reason the majority of girls get such early BFPs, even though all of the studies show that is not the case. Emily and Ashlee are two prime examples of late BFPs!!!

Emily- Your bump is so freaking cute!!!! :haha:

Rachel- omg what a scary story and experience!!! Screw that original surgeon though.. wtf he should have lost his license!! Are you gonna keep on the toradol even though it may affect fertility?

Amanda- FX your egg shows soon! No one likes waiting for a late O ;)

Nichole- I hope you O this month too!! FX for a regular cycle!! :hugs:

AFM, no AF yet. According to my cycles she's due anywhere from 4-8 days from now. Tired of waiting, wish this cycle would hurry up so we can get back to TTC. DF is feeling a lot better, still has some weird things going on like CONSTANTLY falling asleep- sitting up on the couch watching tv, in the computer chair, etc. And he's achey, but not as bad as before. He said this month we're gonna 'do work' ;) lmao so hopefully we'll be seeing our :bfp: I got my fertilitea in the mail today and am having my first cup now. I actually like the taste! So yay!
