April Mummies 2011

Happy birthday Pickle!!

I saw my nephew yesterday (the one who weighed 10lbs at birth; ouch!) and he is 6.5 months already. Speed crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. Couldn't quite believe I as last time I saw him he was barely moving. Aww I miss Amelia being that age but I love her independence now!

hmm, if she were my dgt tbh I think I'd want further tests done xx

That's what I'm kinda thinking too tbh, though up until now I haven't. She also doesn't say any words thgh she does make a rahhh noise for animals.

I think the next dr appt is when they ramp it up, what reading I have done says up to 2still falls under the normal range but after that needs fully investigating. As far as I know they haven't found anything the cause as yet hence giving her chance.

She uses her mouth in a strange way too, never completely opening it. Must be very stressful for her parents :(

That must be very stressful Gertrude! I would have it looked at though. I would have earlier though because I'm crazy ;)

Isis is quite good with speaking. She says multiple word sentences but she's not great with connecting words, like "curly poopoo in potty". Most people can understand her but she's not incredible with knowing her letters but she can count to 3. She's very even though with being slightly advanced in both language and motor skills. She tends to score very high on her milestone tests they do at the drs. And at school. She loves letters, she's just not advanced at identifying them. I think she did spell the letters on her water bottle but of course she wouldn't do it again!

So we're moving Isis into a queen bed so when family visits they can use her bed and she can share her bed with her cousin when they come over. I'm so excited for her! We bought the bed frames at Ikea when we went to Chicago for Easter. The mattress gets deliver tomorrow!

I read all the others but I gotta run! I'll try to keep up better! Happy second birthdays to Pickle and any others I've missed!

I don't think I have the whole story on what's going on Gertrude, but I'm glad that the doctors have all thought it not uncommon and giving it more time. If it were me, I'd be seeing specialists on my own if it were the case that I couldn't get referrals. I was ready to see a dentist because at 13 months Josie only had two bottom teeth. LOL So yea, I'm a little crazy in that regard.

Anyway- nothing to report from me. LOL Anyone who sees my FB knows that I give daily musings on Josie anyway. She's been such a doll these last few weeks and EXPLODING with sentences. Sometimes I can't believe how many words she can put together. Real whole sentences, 5+ words or more. :) Letters and alphabet have fallen to the wayside but she does know them, just maybe not in order. I know she knows up to the number 13, but she definitely can't count in order up to it. She usually skips the numbers 1 and 2 and starts counting at 3 and then goes up to 6 and skips 7 or 8 to 9 and then can count up to twelve some of the time. lol That's IF her attention span allows it. She's been really into reading and reading "by herself" these days. Trying to tell the story herself. We read her peter rabbit a lot, it's one of her favorites and she says "Peter Rabbit crying." and then we turn the page and she says "they have a scarecrow" she looks at the pictures for the context clues. Doesn't get the story 100% but knows the characters and voices what she sees them doing or other characters in it. It's actually pretty fun.

My mom got her a "five little monkeys" set and we've been reading that, it has counting it so I'm hoping she'll get back into counting and the RIGHT way, at least to 5 to count her monkeys. The set came with five little monkey finger puppets.

10 weeks pregnant soon! I already look pregnant :( Which makes me feel bad because I assume it's the over eating and not my prune sized baby! Sometimes I swear I can feel him (yes I think it's a boy) because I get these flutters that are no where in my gut and are RIGHT at my pubic line. I brush it off as gas of course (because i'm more bloated than a hot air balloon!) but sometimes I really wonder.

you will with #2 expand much more quickly since your body knows what to do as well as feel the baby much more quickly then with #1 since you know what you're feeling. Gas is more then likely the baby, i remember calling Abby my little gas bubble well into my 20 weeks.

Omg if that's the case, I will resemble a whale by 12 weeks, this is my fourth time pregnant?!

Can't believe you are 10 weeks already Casey!

I felt Amelia later than Jake, he was 16 weeks and she was 20!!! But my babies tend to hide towards my back a lot as I am tall, so wonder if that plays a part!

Still pretty much symptomless, very very similar to Jakes pregnancy, just sore boobs and tired. I would love another boy, so fingers crossed!

Getting married tomorrow! It is such a small, intimate wedding. I am wearing a long black and cream maxi dress but its smart as opposed to summer dresses, and OH is wearing a shirt and trousers. Very casual yet I still feel nervous?!

Aww it will be fine jakes. Enjoy yourselves xxx

it'll be superb jakes :) congrats and I hope tomorrow is a fantastic day xxx

have a wonderful day tomorrow Rachel!!

casey i felt this baby at about 13wks, didn't feel alex until about 17wks! xx

Aww jakes hope u have a fab day :)

I walked into the safety gate an hit my hand an its swelled up D: ouchies!

Have a lovely day jakes!

Blimey it's mine and Keith's first anniversary in just under 3 weeks. Probably should get him a little something.

I've finally got my physiotherapist assessment tomorrow for SPD. Hardly seems worth it now, I've only got 6-7 weeks left.

Katherine: I has SPD with Amua, was horrendous, they referred me to physio only for there to be a waiting list. It was longer than how many weeks I had left! Hope they can help you,SPD is so miserable.

Well I can't sleep (to be expected!) and now I've got the midnight munchies. Really fancy a cheese and ham toastie but its way too late to be bang crashing around!

I'm dreading photos!! I'm not photogenic and HATE having a camera pointed at me!! So don't expect much!!

Chat tomorrow!

Congrats jakes! I can't wait to see your pictures!
I am a tinge jealous of you girls that are pregnant but I am so not ready for that!
We put Isis in her queen bed tonight and she was not happy. :( my poor baby. I'm sure she thought it was a family bed because we kept laying in it with her to show her how nice it was after we set it up. Hopefully she'll get better over time. It's a nice bed! I wouldn't mind sleeping in it!

I'm so glad I didn't get spd while pregnant! That's gotta be the worst!

So I know I felt Isis at around 14 weeks. I don't remember exactly but it was when babycenter said it was the earliest I could feel the baby. It wasn't gas, I could tell it was different and felt like later when I could really tell it was her.

halfway done with abby's birthday wreath!
