i can't help but think my baby is colic. i see newborn pics of babies who sat and took them so well and all my baby did was scream.

the bigger question is why i'm beating myself up over the fact that my baby cries. ugh!

Gosh it is so quiet in here - guess our babies are keeping us very busy!!!

Dana does she still scream at certain times? There is usually a pattern for colic? Is she literally inconsolable and nothing you try helps? It is very hard with a colicy baby - everyone gets stressed and it is no easy feat- I hope you are OK x

I'm trying to keep up! We're visiting friends in Wisconsin for the rest of the week. Its a little crazy here! They have 3 kids, age 7, 5, and 3.
I know my family thinks I'm crazy for having Isis sleep in a pack and play but it's really nice that she's used to the bed she's sleeping in. She slept just like at home in it last night.
Today we went for a ride in our boat with everyone. I'm sunburned! I remembered to cover Isis but forgot my own sunscreen. I'll have to post pictures when I get a chance of Isis in her life jacket on her first boat ride.
Well I gotta put her down. She's asleep at my breast so it must be bed time.

Well we got aan answer from disability. Denied. Feeling really down about where I am in life. Family is good but I'm so sad about going back to work and things getting worse and worse. I was supposed to go to the east coast for my grampas b-day and can't afford to. He's turning 75 and Rosie is his first great grandchild

jakes, not any particular time and seems to be really bad when we wake her from sleeping. she has gas, but the gripe water works great. just sux i compare her to other babies, not fair to either of us. i've also noticed it's a lot quieter than the preggy forum was, 10 pages would update a day sometimes! anyone heard from brandi lately?

excited to shop for my sil's baby shower this weekend! i'm packing a hospital bag for her as she seemed confused last weekend on what to do. sure hope she likes it!

so chuffed, Nathan slept from 10.30 until 5 and has just woken up now but is just playing in his cot! I do think were getting more of a routine!
Has anyone got any tips/ techniques for keeping their LOs cool in hot weather?
Xx

dana i think it is because we are all juggling babies, feeding, sterilising, sleeping.......

Dana, my eldest had a phase of it too. I used to alternate between upset and frustration but you WILL get there, it's just a rollercoaster ride in the meantime.

MissFox - Sounds like you are having a tough time, hope things pick up for you soon and that you can make that trip afterall :hugs:

Lil guy has started to regularly self-sooth himself to sleep but he has also picked up a habit of getting really fidgety and upset when feeding on the left side late on. I have no idea why it is just that side and why it is only in the late evening <confused> Other than that, he is a little star :cloud9: Albeit a flipping hungry one <grins>

Hi everyone!

We are going back to the docs today. Gaviscon seemed to help LOs sickness but made her poops hard. She was screaming when going. She still is, but they are soft again. The sickness has also returned...

We are struggling with a nighttime routine, she's just not consistent. Going to put up black out liners on her curtains today and really work on learning the difference between day and night...

Hi ladies hope you all are well. Have been trying to get little man into a routine for a while we are slowly getting there, he has been sleeping in his cot in his own room for the past 2 weeks (as moses basket was to small for him and we do not have room in our room for the cot), I only give him the dummy when it is sleep time and he is managing to get himself off by himself albeit me having to put the dummy back in 2 or 3 times. He also has been smiling quite a bit which is lovely.
Have been thinking about expressing a little but don't know if it is worth it as I can't see DH getting up in the middle of night to feed him, he does not even get up when he does not need feeding!

Do you think some of the girls from the other thread don't know there is an April mummies group.

Yep the only time i get to come on is feed times, i always read but dont have as much to say as when i was pregnant lol xx

And thanks for my siggy Lilly its fab!xx

 one year ago today we found out we were pregnant only for him/her to leave us 24 days later. i don't think of it often, especially considering what i have now, but today i think of you with love.
