April Mummies 2011

Hey April Mummies hope we're all well, I don't know how you find the time to come on here lol. I used to always be on her when I was pregnant and now I'm hardly on at all!

So the weather in UK has been so nice, lets see how long this lasts ey! Hope all our little April Bundles are well, my little girl is great just sleeping beside me as I type this, what a little angel!

I usually come on here while feeding Isis or in the evenings after I put her down to sleep.
The friends we're staying with have a neighborhood pool that we went to today. I was so excited to swim with my little girl in her cute little suit but all she wanted to do was eat and sleep. She finally woke up and I got her all ready to go in the pool and as soon as she touched the water she started to scream! I didn't even think about how cold it would be for her. Poor thing! So it wasn't the magical experience I envisioned. I'm guessing that most of my experience as a mother will be like that. Oh well. I'm sure it'll be great just not the perfect vision in my head.

 one year ago today we found out we were pregnant only for him/her to leave us 24 days later. i don't think of it often, especially considering what i have now, but today i think of you with love.

:hugs:

I'm trying to keep up! We're visiting friends in Wisconsin for the rest of the week. Its a little crazy here! They have 3 kids, age 7, 5, and 3.
I know my family thinks I'm crazy for having Isis sleep in a pack and play but it's really nice that she's used to the bed she's sleeping in. She slept just like at home in it last night.
Today we went for a ride in our boat with everyone. I'm sunburned! I remembered to cover Isis but forgot my own sunscreen. I'll have to post pictures when I get a chance of Isis in her life jacket on her first boat ride.
Well I gotta put her down. She's asleep at my breast so it must be bed time.

where in wisconsin are you?

Really? Where are you? We're going to be in Eagle River for a week vacation in a few weeks too.

So last night was quite the night. I noticed Isis wasn't breathing very well, too the point of gasping through her mouth after her nose got totally plugged. So I tried saline but it didn't work so I called the night and weekend number for her ped's office and they told me that I had to take her to the ER. So I found one, (we're visiting friends out of state) and figured out how to get there. I had to move her car seat, unhook the boat from the truck and then finally drive her there. It took me an hour from talking to the peds to leaving. As for those wondering where my DH was...passed out from a night of drinking with friends. It really was ok, I mean its not like she had been congested all day. I totally didn't see this coming. Oh and we're supposed to be going to a party with our friends tonight and we were going to leave all the kids (3 of theirs plus our 1) with a babysitter. I'm not sure it's fair anymore. I'll have to see how she's doing later I guess. Luckily the babysitter is a nurse who can't work right now because of moving recently. I might go ahead since we'll be in the neighborhood and it's only for a couple hours.
At any rate, Isis is fine, just congested a little and they gave me a list of what to watch for. It was the best ER visit I have ever had. I'm going to leave a review on Google for the place.

we have some great hospitals in this state, glad you found one.

we live in fond du lac, not sure if you would pass thru here going to eagle river but you'll enjoy it there. really pretty!

I have too much to catch up with on here! I dont think Ive been on properly in a while.

Hayley - Oh dear, hope you're ok chick?! x

Cheese Lover - Aww I hope your LO is ok. Its scary when they dont breath right isnt it!

I had Ollie up A&E last night. He went limp again but didnt stop breathing this time. Well... his breathing was slowing and he went really pale and I noticed his tongue was really far back so I turned him on his tummy across my knee and patted his back and he puked down my leg. When I lifted him back up he seemed to improve a bit and his tongue was back in its normal place.
Phoned Hospital at Home and they told me to take him to just get checked just incase.
They said hes ok but have given me an emergency number just incase. -touch wood-

Anyways, the weather is FAB here atm! Im sunburnt and ollie keeps slobbering on where it is haha. Freaking hurts!
Going to get ready for a BBQ. Hope everyone is well! x

yeah it was scary they think it could ve been gall stones or indigestion got to have blood test in 2 weeks to see if gall stones

My little girl today:cloud9:

Can anyone help? Isis has bad congestion and can't breath well enough to sleep flat so I'm holding her and she's sleeping wonderfully. My problem is that I can't sleep like this. We're visiting friends and she's sleeping in a pack and play. I can't think of anything I can use to prop the mattress up with that will keep me up worrying about safety.
Any ideas?

Lilly, Aleena is beautiful!

wow I feel stupid! Must be the lack of sleep. We brought her bouncy chair. I have her in it now. Hopefully it helps.

Or you could put something under the legs of one end of the cot, my health visitor and MW recommended small tins of baked beans or a copy of the yellow pages
x

I might try that. I'm not sure anything is helping. I still haven't really slept. Every time I start to doze off, she sputters or gasps. I've tried saline. Maybe another couple drops. Its been about 5 hours since I put in the drops.

I'm being a bad mummy today & leaving Rex for the first time. I'm off to see Take That. Admittedly he'll be with DH but I've not left him for this long. DH gas taken him out for a couple of hours before but that's it. I've expressed loads of milk to leave so at least he's still getting mummy milk! Hope he's ok! x

Sazzle the very fact that you are worrying means you are not a bad mummy. Relax and have an amazing time, I am very jealous!!!! Looking forward to a report on how it is.
xxxxx
