April Mummies 2011

I love the sleepy animals one but the light colour might put me off if i was buying because toby makes everything within a 20m radius of him impossibly grubby! So maybe the deer or teal dots... its a toghie!

I like the deers, Carolone

Could you maybe find a childminder that would be willing to have Toby for a few hours one day a week, Katherine? I know they are usually more flexible that nurseries & at least £1 an hour cheaper round me.

thanks girls...I was thinking deer! that's possibly decision made :), I LOVE the zoology one but its oos everywhere :(

i'm seriously done trying to help people, figure shit out on your own like i did.

I'm sitting here enjoying a couple margaritas while DH is traveling for business.

tonight the guy that first contacted Dh about the new position called to see how he was doing since he had accepted the offer. He's not even DH's new boss. He just cares. DH's phone doesn't work at our house so he uses mine after hours. Since DH was out of town when he called I answered. He was very kind and asked me if I was excited to move. We never had anything like that happen with his current company. I'm so excited for this and not only because I get to just be myself!

I forgot to add, I can't even believe it but Isis gave up her pacifier without a fight! On Sunday Dh hid all her pacifiers and we told her that they were gone. Ever since she has gone to bed, ridden in the car without it and been fine. Every time she would normally ask for it she just says "bu-bye gone?" and we say yeah and she's fine. She must have been ready to let it go. She's become more attached to her elmo blanket and her "buddy" (a stuffed rabbit my mom made) but those won't ruin her teeth ;)

hope alls ok dana!?

Danielle that's fab on the dummy! omg I wish alex would do that, he sooo wouldn't yet though, he's addicted to it, puts it in every chance he gets atm, i'm constantly hiding them!

sounds like the move is going to be a good one :D xx

Wow, Isis! You big girl, giving up your dummy so easily!

Rex sounds just like Alex. He's a dummy addict  I have to hide them during the day & if he spies one, he'll do whatever he needs to to get his mitts on it! :haha: I've already started sowing the seed that they're off to Father Christmas in exchange for presents. He loves presents so its great bribery! Bad mummy

Things have been pretty good here. Baby blue have set in and that has been rough. And I hacebt been sleeping much since.my carpal tunnel is worse now than ever. Im home with both girls today and all 3 of us have a head cold. Ruby had to be propped up last night and I just felt so bad because we were both miserable.
We did newborn pictures yesterday and some came out amazing but some not so much. I didnt get to have the lady I wanted to do them because we couldnt afford it. Instead one of DHs friends who started doing pictures about a year ago did it but didn't make the place warm so it was almost impossible to get Ruby to stay sleeping so we tried for 5-6a hours! I kept telling ger it was because she was cold.
Cottles I really hope you can find a way to.get Toby into daycare or inhome day care one day a week. It would be so good for both of you! My lady is $3/hr for Rosie so she can be there fkr 10the hrs and it isnt too bad.
Cheese I'm so excited for your move! That is great that the new company is so friendly! Dh and I just talked about when I.go back to worm and how after daycare fkr 2 kids and gas I wont be bringing much more in. He said find something closer to full time but I don't want to. I spent time home with Rosie Im nkt going to miss that with Ruby.
Whats up Dana??

sarah I fully intend to use bribery too :haha:, might be the easter bunny though! we'll see. He was very cute earlier though, all went quiet in the lounge when eddie had been grizzling, knowing alex had vanished from my sight I quickly popped my head in the door, to find alex giving eddie his dummy to settle him, bless! I quickly found one of eddies dummies to switch it with esp as alex is v snotty atm, but sstill was cute!

sam sorry baby blues have set in. I def want to spend the same time home with Edward I did with alex!

Don't know what to say. Things are kind of boring around here. Boring as in, I get to spend a few hours to myself a day, at most. About to meet a potential babysitter for Thursdays and when I have events on the weekends. I wish I could find a sitter for $3/hr!

Funny you mention Isis giving up the pacie so easily. Sore subject on my mind lately. I've decided to stop caring. Josie will stop when she wants to and I bet it won't be until her daddy is back living with us. I hope she cuts down a lot by then. As in, only for naptime and night time. But then again she misses him all day long so I know when she's being fussy and needs comfort, it's because she's missing him a little more.

It always breaks my heart when she is playing with her dolls or toys and she says "she misses his daddy. her daddy's at work." I'm not about to put more on her shoulders because of people's opinions.

Casey, I agree, I wouldn't have pushed her if she fought back about it. I think you have a valid reason to not take it from her.

Sam, sorry about the baby blues. I had totally forgotten about that. :hugs: If I could do part time with my job I probably wouldn't quit altogether but I'm just not happy with how much time I spend working. I used to work so many more hours before Isis was born. Now I barely work over and I try not to travel. I don't blame you for not wanting to work full time!

I have almost slipped about the move multiple times to my coworkers. Only a couple of my closest co-worker friends know about it. We haven't put in our notice yet because the company will shut down your access immediately and escort you from the building that day. We'll give notice when we get back from vacation in a few weeks. DH moved his start date to 9/16. I think with the timelines though I'll keep my job until we are able to close on a new house and I can move which might be closer to sometime in October. Makes me sad because I want to quit now!

:hugs: Sam. The baby blues suck :(

Aaawww, Caroline, that is so cute of Alex! Bless him :)

Wow, Danielle, the move is coming up quickly for you guys. Can't believe your DH will be starting in just over a month. Out of curiosity, why would you have to leave the day you resign? Do you deal with sensitive info? Do you get paid for your notice period?

If I could find another part time coubnty position exceot closer to home I would be just fine. It would save half on the gas bill but i cant do full time. Plus I usually end up extra busy with side jobs this in the next couple months. I just don't want to miss out in everything I was there for with Rosie.
I'm excited for.you Danielle! I hope it all goes smoothly!
Casey you are right on for not caring about the paci anymore. She needs that comfort and security. Amd as she gets older she will learn more comfirt methods andI the paci eill be needed less and less. I've almost broken down and gotten one for Ruby but I'm trying hard not to. I've almost gotten them a few times but every time I've wanted to I end up not going into a store to get one. It would be new territory since Rosid always refused them
My sitter just raised her price from $2.50 lol. It was the first time in over 10 years she has upped her price.

Oh joy. My daycare lady just told me she moght not be able to have noth girls every day I work. FML. She was waiting on the other 2 boys sge watches schedules. Jdjevsjskfkfkkdbiid

just ship the girls here every day :)

everything's fine, just needed the vent.

danielle, if you remember that's how i got rid of abby's nuk and it worked like a charm.

ashley- the only reason i got rid of the nuk was because abby was showing signs that she was ready for it to go and just needed that confidence boost to let go. dentists also say, as long as it's gone by 5 it doesn't affect the jaw (i looked it up on the american dentists society website when abby still had hers). you do what you feel is right for her, but if she starts showing signs that she's OK without it let her have that win too! might be surprised how easy she lets go of it once ember arrives. abby likes giving the paci to her baby cousin and associates nuks with "baby" now.

went to my yearly yesterday, OB is preggers again and having her 2nd csection in sept. she did her first baby natural, elected csection with 2nd and is doing another one. i was feeling a little pressure to try VBAC next time, but not anymore. if it's good for my OB, it's good enough for me!
she did keep asking when i'd be having another one, so now i'm all baby crazy. do think i need to get passed newborn stage before my Junior year when my internship starts so if it's happening, it needs to soon. Just doesn't feel right yet.

Danielle, i'm intrigued too as to why they'd march you out of work? I have to give a notice period.

interesting dummies should be gone by 5! sooo hoping alex catches onto dummies are for babies, but also not sure at all that'll happen. He's wanted 'his turn' after a fair few baby things. Although thank goodness never wants milk! he seems to have totally forgotten he ever breastfed and is interested in that's how Edward feeds but not at all in him doing it.

ooh alex has done 2 wees on the toilet now! maybe we will be potty training sooner rather than later

Yay for alex! Im seriously regretting pull-ups. Theyre good for out and about but toby is struggling to understand that pants are not nappies. We never have accidents indoors unless hes wearing pants (hes almost always naked) and I think its because he assumes they're the same as pull ups.
