April Mummies 2011

AF still hasn't shown up...Should i worry?? lol Anyone else still waiting on theirs?? Oh and i have FF from the beginning..

I'm BF so not really applicable but I don't think I have. I had a break in bleeding and then it started again but it was at 5 weeks so I don't think it was AF.

MissFox how do you work with Rosie? :haha: I've working from home this week and it's very tough to get anything done.

She just sat on my lap and looked around! She ended up fussing and falling asleep on my lap and then DH came to pick her up.

Emmy with all mine AF has turned up between 8-10 weeks. I had the Depo injection last month and have been bleeding for over 2 weeks so i dont know whats going on now.

Gem Harley used to do that all the time, he'd get so stressed! We tried everything, changing bottle, teats, burping lots. We then changed him to soy milk and he's been fine. The twins are on 6oz bottles now and are 14 weeks on Saturday! Its gone so fast.

Ruby sleeps through most nights but Harley still wakes at least once. I can't believe how different they are.

Jaimees chickenpox have finally cleared up now so im taking them all to a playcentre tomorrow with an old school friend. Will be nice to get out of the house.
Hope everyones well xxxx

WOW! Rosie still takes about 3 or 4oz of pumped milk when I give it to her!!! We're not going to give her any more 3oz bottles though because they don't last her long enough. I needto spend my days not at work for the next couple weeks on really trying to up my supply. Hope it goes good- I'm prepared to maybe need to add in some formula but I'm giong to try not to. No point if I can get away with it.

I'm pretty bummed about my first AF... and 2nd. I was hoping it was a fluke! Although I hear they often come back once spacing gets more than 4 hours apart and Rosie has slept so good from the beginning that I think that may be the cause... Or my body REALLY wants another baby :dohh:

LO slept from 9.30 - 5 last night and then I woke her at 8.40 because she was still soundo. Was nice to get up, go to the loo, brush my teeth and sort her bottle out before she woke up! Last night was my shift so DH is on call tonight. Hope she is good for him too. I still get up and sort her bottle on his nights, but I fall asleep really quick when he's feeding her. Hopefully she'll keep going longer each night!

She is starting to get grouchy in the evenings, like she wants to go to bed. When we put her down, she's awake but makes no fuss at all. We are lucky with her on that.

Hope all are well.

a quick question... do your LO's blow spit bubbles? Isis blows them all the time. This morning she woke up with the remnants of milky spit bubbles all around her mouth. She's been doing this for quite a while now but this morning with the milky residue seemed a little strange.

We've only been giving Isis 2 oz bottles but she would probably take more, I just don't want to waste EBM and her bottles right now are just to get used to eating from a bottle.

Rosie is a BUBBLE MONSTER! She gets such a kick out of me blowing them back at her.

Yeah Amelia has done the bubbles a few times!!

Ugh I FINALLY got her to sleep!!! Midnight!!!! It was my mistake though - she had her jabs today so was kinda grouchy and wouldn't nap all day so she finally passed out on my lap at 5pm and I let her sleep for a couple of hours! Silly Mummy! I wasn't laughing come 11pm though as she was WIDE AWAKE still and trying to talk to me aka cooing all night. Then she wanted boob, then she'd be sick then want more etc etc
To add to this my Son could hear everything so was up screaming at me too. STRESS!!!

But I really should go to bed but I can't just go straight to bed without unwinding first..so looks like it'll be a late one.

I am envious of all the sleeping!!! Jake was a fantastic baby sleeping through the night at 9 weeks from 8pm til 11pm then waking at 8am. NOT THIS ONE!
Can't have it all, eh!?

ugh, abby teased us with sleeping from 10-5...she still goes down around 10, but wakes up at 330. *sigh* would be nice if she went back to 10-5 since mommy's starting work next week.

Rosie was sleeping 7+hours for a long time and she stopped. It kinda sucks but she's still going 8pm to 6or 7 am with only waking up one time. It;s usually around 2 or so. I've noticed when I keep her up until 9:30 or so she sleeps until 4:30 but I like that extra hour iykwim.

I'm with you MissFox, I would prefer if she went to bed closer to 8 so we can have some adult time but she seems to prefer 9-9:30. I'm thinking tonight is going to be a struggle since she pretty much slept all morning. Although she did her usual of not napping much this afternoon.

UGH! So got a call from DH a little while ago. He was making Rosie her last bottle and his mom opened the fridge. One of my 3oz bottles dropped to the floor and spilled!!! Needless to say he's on his way here and I really need to up my production so stuff like this doesn't happen! We need more on hand than what I can pump in 1 day. I'm worried about tomorrow and they're on their way to come here so I can feed her (and looks like get off a little bit earlier than originally planned). Looks like I"ll be waking up 2x tonight to make sure miss Rosie has enough milk for tomorrow!

sam-i would try doing what one other girl on here does and pump immediately after feeding her so you build up your supply.

I did that tonight. I need to get on it more.

Feeling so very depressed tonight. I was hoping things woulD be getting betteR with DH and myself and for a long time they were but I find myself questioning whether or not I can make it last. He's had a lot of Dr appts this last week and has been diagnosed with severe bipolar, intermittant explosive anger disorder (or something) and a handful of other things and his shoulder surgeon says he is WAY overusing his arm- and he doesn't use it much! I feel like the whole financial situation is going to be up to me forever and I don't think I'm capable (or I guess willing) to have it be my life. I feel horrible and disgusting for thinking like this.
Just needed to get it out and can't to my friends very much

Ollie blows bubbles too :) He slobbers with it though which is kinda gross but hes showing all the signs of teething so I guess its just to do with that?

I cant believe some of you are back at work already! Dont know how you can do it!

Sam - Sorry to hear about your hubby. Hope youre both ok xx

Ugh spent the night in A&E last night... left Ollie at my aunties because of germs.
I keep getting really bad stomach pains and then started puking blood yesterday... they think I might have Helicobacter Pylori which may have caused a stomach ulcer so now I have to go to my GP for a breath test on Tuesday and Im on 2 lots of tabs in the meantime :/
Still not 100% today but not puking blood now thank goodness!

The doctor at the hospital asked why I wanted a baby so young and I was just like :| Seriously?! What kind of a question is that :/

Ollie has to go back to hospital on Wednesday because last time he went he seen a regristrar and theyve now spoken to the consultant who isnt happy and wants to see the baby himself! So hes now under THREE consultants!

I might aswell just move into the bloody place...

lovely to hear all your news everyone :)

pickle is doing well although she's waking up in the night more often again (was done to once or twice but is much more again) - I'm also trying to get her to nap better in the day though today all she wants to do is sleep! It's strange isn't it how much they differ one day to another day?

One thing pickle does (as well as blowing bubbles :D) is pull her legs up whenever she's laid down - she doesn't seem to be in any pain, she grunts when she does it and often farts so I guess it's just her tummy and wind and possibly some "ooo what do these do then" playing but it stops her from falling asleep unswaddled as she wakes herself up loads - anyone got any suggestions how we can stop her doing it?

She's currently refusing to lay still to sleep despite being zonked out in her car seat 30secs ago - she keeps drifting off then her legs come up and wake her up again :(

All suggestions gratefully received!
