Anyone elses LO getting clingy?
Toby just won't be away from me. In the day I have to wait til hes napping before I can pee. Even then it's like he senses I'm not there and wakes up and cries.
At night, in his Moses basket he'll fuss and kick until I'm cradling him in my bed. then he'll go to sleep instantly but if I try to move him he will not settle again unless he's with me or I'm touching him.
It's 4:18am and I've not slept yet, it's been a constant battle to get him settled and keep him settled.
I'm starting to get migraines and really need an hour or 2s sleep but it's impossible :(

Sounds like my LO, most of the time I'm holding her, day AND night!
Even cosleeping isn't enough for her, I HAVE to hold her until she's in a real deep sleep, like an hour into her sleep, then I might be able to put her down next to me.
Most of the days she won't settle before 2am.
But around 12 weeks there's a huge growth spurt, the 3 month growth spurt.. it's a big one and we're in for it a little early I guess.
She's even more clingy now and won't nap or sleep at night .. wakes every 2-3 hours to feed and 1-2 hours during the day ... I'm tired!

Cottles, I'm having the same battle. I can't get settled either. I don't know what's wrong with him. I'm not sure if his tummy is a bit upset as he's done some very smelly poos recently. It took me 2 & half hours to get him to sleep last night. Was close to tears. Then he woke at 1 & settled ok after a feed but at 4.15 when he woke again he wouldn't settle again & it took me an hour & half to settle him. Was actually in tears then! He normally has a nice long sleep on a morning so I can get showered & get some jobs done but he only slept for 45 mins. I'm currently sat on the floor by his swing trying to get him to nap again. Everytime I move his eyes ping open. Argh!

Have you tried moving Toby into his cot? He might be too big for his basket now? We had to move Rex a couple of weeks ago as he was bashing the sides & waking himself up.

I wanted to get out this aft & get some infacol to see if that helps Rex settle but at this rate I'll be going nowhere. :-( He's got his first jabs tomorrow too so the week is only gonna get worse. Help!

Sounds like we're all having a bit of trouble at the mo :hugs:

In light of this, I feel the need to share this audiobook/youtube vid...

seems smelly poos start happening around now as alex has them too! they're thicker as well and much less often. although go everywhere when he does go as theres so much! ewww.

cottles, that clips been removed! :(

my young man thinks he doesn't need to nap at all today :dohh:, we're going back to our antenatel group tonight to speak to the next group about our experience, whats the betting he has a break down there!! lol, all those mummy's to be will be wondering what they've got themselves into!

Babybefore that made me laugh about the beetle lol. So true :) George doesn't like tummy time either unless he is on my chest.

Hope the infacol works sazzle, its the best thing I bought.

Oh girls we will all get there soon, we have done so well and have healthy babies. Chin up xx

3 month growth spurt (12 weeks) here.. she went to sleep at 4am, up 3 hours later, fed and up 3 hours after that and was up for the day.. I'm exhausted!!!
All she does is cry and eat.. jeeez!
Read that the 3 month growth spurt is a huge one.. well that's certainly right on this end!

well the crying and eating thing (and stropping and generally being a grump) sounds right here too but we're not 11 weeks yet - surely it can't be that early?

she's OK once she's asleep but the tears involved in getting her to sleep is insane - not to mention the resistance to napping and wanting to eat non-stop (but not necessarily eating more - just more constant grazing)

I'm knackered! I'm worried this isn't the growth spurt and is just her :haha:

Every baby is different, Aleena is 11 weeks on Thursday but was born a week late.
So she's about a week early with everything..
Shes feeding every hour today..zzzzzzzzz

ooo, maybe that'll mean abby will always be a week behind since she was born a week early.

With you on the tears getting them to sleep Gertrude. And sometimes they're mine as well. 2 hours & counting trying to get Rex down tonight :-( He's sicked up loads bless him. I want a happy baby now please!

Caitlin was 3 weeks early and has been waking more in the night & grumpy all day. Putting her to bed around 10 seems to mean she has her biggest stretch when we are going to bed.

She seems better on the Hipp. Pooping more regularly, less sick and she is taking around 150ml and actually drinking it. Before she had 180ml but would dribble lots out from the second half.

How many bottles are your LOs taking a day? She seems to be stuck taking 7!

we're at 5, 4.5 oz bottles

Really?! She's having 7, 5 oz bottles. That's down from 6oz bottles! You would never believe she didn't want to eat for the first 2 weeks or so!

mine averages about 24oz a day in about 9 bottles - she starts well then likes drinking them in 2

it's very annoying :D

she's combi fed though so I assume the bit of breast milk she gets means she's a little bit more hungry sooner :)

yea they can digest bm much faster then formula...she has cut down the last week or so now that she sleeps 10-5/6 (that cuts out 2 feedings)

Ollie was 2 weeks early.

Hes on about 6-7, 5oz bottles per day atm :) Feeding whenever he wants.
Went to get him weighed today... Hes 10lbs! Little chunk has almost doubled in weight ^_^

His FOB is on my case again lately... dragging my name through the mud on fb as usual! But its not on so I think Ill seek some advice about what to do about it.
If he really wanted to see his son so much then he'd come round, right?!
But instead hes taken on some sluts daughter claiming her to be his own instead of actually contributing to his ACTUAL childs life!
Men, eh!
