April Mummies 2011

Some babies are high maintenance !! I have one here who cries alot and HATES her vat seat and being in the car, whereas my son was so content, never heard him cry for first year and loved car rides! So I was expecting her to be similar!! Lol! Mind, Jake had colic which was horrible whereas she doesn't. Swings and roundabouts!

:hugs: Gertrude. Know what it's like being on your one. DH seems to forget we have a baby from time to time & swans off out on the lash & crashes in the spare bed. It infuriates me! Why can't men have boobs?! I'd love a while evening & night off. Humph! I'm also with you on being so tired you could smash things. I want a baby that enjoys sleeping! Anyone like to swap?! lol

We're off to stay with my mum on Fri as DH is swanning off out (again!) & I didn't wanna be on my own again. Bless my mum, she's told me she's packing me off to bed at 7 & doing the night for me so I can get some sleep. I doubt he'll settle for her but it's worth a go. Good job I have a nice freezer stash of EBM ready!

Well we seemed to have survived the jabs. He seems no different. But then he's cranky all the time at the min anyway!

Im always on my own with Ollie and tbh thats how I like it.
Then again I know no different so yeah.

I finally got the surestart grant today yaaay!
Put me in a fantastic mood :)

have any of you girls with cranky babies spoken to a cranial osteopath? we went today and well it was fab, he could tell me Alex's problems without me telling him what i felt was wrong with alex just by seeing where the tensions were in his body! apparently all his back is tensed up, prob from coming out back to back and this is stopping the wind moving through his system properly. Anyway he did some work on him today and he said in a few days or so the wind should pass. Then we go back next week for a further session. and I know he isn't just telling me he needs further treatment to get his money out of me cos my friend went last wk with her baby and she wasn't asked back as her baby needed nothing more doing for him.

Alex has had more naps today so we will see what sleep is like tonight, do not expect him to go through again tonight!

I don't mean to cause offence caro (honestly I don't!) but there is no evidence whatsoever for cranial oestopathy - it was something I used to suggest to people but some reading later and there isn't anything to support it. It doesn't do any harm, and often the thought that something is helping in itself is enough for parents to see a change (that would have happened anyway) but it's not due to the CA process/activity

Daniel has just gone to sleep, he has literally been awake all day bar a few cat naps, why does he not sleep?

anyone else's first af really heavy? ive always had light ones and this one is soaking thru a super tampon every 2 hours!

Still waiting on mine Dana, but i have heard the 1st is extremely heavy.

mine started on our 2nd wedding anniversary on monday :dohh:

they aren't kidding! this thing is heavy!

And of all days for it to return...Im not looking forward to AF coming back, but as soon as it does i can go get my depo shot so YAY for that..lol

I'm writing this while trying to get Isis to sleep. She was so tired, I've never heard her cry that hard before. I couldn't console her. Poor thing. She's really fighting sleep now. She's not a napper either but had been ok at night.

So I'm still in pain from the tear I had and I'm worried about work on Monday. I'm having a hard time standing on the boat to fish. There's no way I can walk fields or work in the warehouse. Argh! I hate feeling like this. No obvious injury but in pain. Even my midwife can't really find anything wrong. Oh and to make matters worse I Started my first maybe second period yesterday. I was hoping to avoid that for a while.

No sign of af here

We had a lovely night just pickle and I, went to Ned about 7, fed at 10.30 and 3.30, woke for s feed at 6.30 and she's currently watching her mobile in her crib. I have even had time for my shower!

Wish I could be as entertainef by a mobile :D got a weighing session at 9.30 then no idea what I'm doing with my day - oh has taken the car. So whatever it is needs yo be within walking distance or the bus. I hate the bus :D

My LO is spending more time awake in the day, only cat napping and still waking the same in the night. I'm starting to feel even more tired!

She's wide awake at the minute and crying when she doesn't have my attention. I had got her down to nap. I just got back to sleep myself and our neighbour started drilling on the other side of her wall, right by her cot. This is not the first time they've done it and they know it's her room. They must also know that it's 9am! I wouldn't mind as much but last time they had workmen who made loads of noise outside the house, so I couldn't get her to sleep in our room as it was just as noisey! I would like them to warn me they are going to make lots of noise!

DD is still taking 7 bottles a day. 5 oz. Finishing some and not others, but no obvious pattern as to which ones! :dohh:

Oh, and I'm waiting for John Lewis to call me back and take payment for the pink lining bag in their sale. I've been wanting one for ages but couldn't find one in a sale that I liked. :happydance:

30 mins and counting though - they only had 7 left in store, I hope they hurry up!

Mrs-C - do we have the same baby? Mine has about 7 bottles a day with 5oz in them, who knows how much she'll take when :D I quite like it though -I have a bad relationshp with food and I want her to not have my hang ups :)

Well we went to baby clinic this morning and she's gained another pound now - she's 10lb 14.5oz YAY

oh and I've decided my day will consist of playing with pickle at home - it's tipping down here and I left the bloody rain cover for the pram in the car - which is with my OH :dohh:

Gah, Gertrude! Oh also has my car with rain cover AND baby carrier so I'm restricted! I was going to get the bus but can't be arsed, tbh!
I have the buggy board on back of pram but it does my head in as my big feet just whallop into it with each pace!

Amelia slept 8-4.30am again! Yay! She's following the same pattern as her brother at the same age too. I'm putting her into cot this week as she's toobig for basket. She also has a 3 hour nap in mornings now which gives metime to play w/ Jake etc

Well it must have been a fluke as Daniel was so tired as he slept from 9.30 till 2 then fed and then slept till 6 then came in with me till 10. Am going to try and get him to nap today as I felt so sorry for him yesterday as he was so knackered, also have had to put scratch mitts back on as he has scratched his beautiful face quite badly.
