April Mummies 2011

My lo only eats 4 1/2 oz every 3 hours...Seems like she doesn't eat as much as other lo's on here :( But she is gaining..She weighs 11 1/2 lbs and almost 24 inches

That's what I liked about formula feeding Jake , I could see what he was getting etc. I know Amelia is content and getting what she needs, but part of me would like to see what she gets! I did express 5 oz the othe night from one full boob, and she downed it so I guess she's getting that plus more.
Ooh Jake has decided to start using the potty properly (albeit standing up!) so looks like I'll be spending the rest of the week teaching him. Can't wait for this to be done, hate having two in nappies!!!

Vacation has been tough on Isis. She hasn't been sleeping well at all. Last night was the first night she slept close to normal schedule. It also has been very cold and rainy which doesn't work well for a boating vacation. If its bad on Thursday we're probably going to a water park.
I don't know yet how much milk Isis is taking but I will next week when she starts daycare.

I don't find it a problem, I know she's gaining weight and she is a happy baby, smiles all the time , reaches her milestones so I'm not worried :)

I'm not bothered but am just interested to know!

Ooh we had a first last night. This would be the longest stretch she's done but she went from 8pm -4.20am! But did mummy? No! I went to bed at midnight! But I need my own time and have never been to bed early!

Lol jakes I did the same!
Toby was asleep at 9:30, I went to sleep at midnight... But we slept til 5:30, Toby had a bottle and we both fell asleep til 8:30. It was lovely!

I am massively jealous of all these sleeping babies :-( Rex's sleep is getting worse not better :-( Had to put him in with us last night for my sanity. He would not resettle after a feed at 12.30. I really don't want him to get used to being in our bed but i just didn't know what else to do with him. We've got his 2 month check up & jabs today so I'm going to ask about his unsettledness. He's sleeping worse & I don't think he has as much happy awake time anymore :-( There must be something wrong. Probably with my milk. Seriously considering FF.

Sazzle, I know exactly how you're feeling, my LO seems to be much the same as yours only I've never got her to sleep before 11pm and she's always cried a lot during the day! She does have her happy moments though and seems happier the more we're out and about now. We co-sleep as she absolutely refuses to go in her cot and I've been told by lots of ladies on here that they do grow out of it in their own time and tend to turn in to independent children so don't feel guilty about doing it now and then. We've been having a lot of bad nights but the last couple she's been sleeping much better so fingers crossed... Have you tried Rex on formula? I've given Matilda some now and then when it's been too much and actually don't think it would solve the problems we're having! I've spoken to all sorts of people about her unsettleness but they all say it's more than likely normal. I'm beginning to think this is just how she is, apparently I was much the same until around 4 months, and knowing this I'm starting to relax and just go with the flow a bit more. PM me if you want to x :flower:

Mine have 6oz bottles every 3-4 hrs but Ruby sleeps through every night and Harley usually has at least one night feed.
Demi and Harley have chicken pox at the mo so i have a very grumpy household :-( xx

Daniel won't sleep today and had an odd sleeping pattern yesterday, he fell asleep at 5 missed his feed and only woke up at 8.45, then back to sleep until 11.30, fed, then awake again at 2.30, feed him and then he was awake at 3.30, we could not get him to sleep till 6 so ended up with him in our bed. Feel shattered today.

I added some pictures of him smiling as he has become a proper little smiler the past week or so.

Alex slept ALL night!!!! wahoooo. He went from 11-7!! not that i slept through as i'm so used to waking now but hopefully he'll start going longer more regularly now. He barely napped at all yesterday so I guess he was just sooo tired. He woke up super hungry bless him!

though by not napping yesterday he was super grumpy most of the day, need to get more of a balance cos its all very well keeping him awake so he sleeps at night but its not nice for him or me for him to be grumpy!

he's napping now so hoping a nice long midday nap will mean a happier boy this afternoon but he'll still sleep well tonight, fx'ed!

those with unsettled babies hopefully you will just suddenly turn a corner, just 4 nights ago he was up every 2 hours or so and taking 2+ hours to settle in the middle of the night. I'm sure he won't go through again tonight but its nice to know he can do it! xxx

some recent piccies xxx

Tasha your kids are SO CUTE!!!!

Last weekend Rosie had some rough nights (up 5x in 5.5hrs and then 3x in one night) but sure enough a couple nights later went 8hrs straight.
Rosie just got upped to 4oz bottles when she gets them. She doesn't finish them! I can only pump about 2oz from each breast when I'm pumping (though I can get lots more out with my fingers when I try) I couldn't imagine her taking 6oz yet lol but who knows how much she's really getting from me ;)

SOOooOOoo I'm covered in poison oak and I'm afraid of giving it to Rosie. Its so hot I can't help but touch her with places I have it. AHHHH and I DO NOT want to hae to get the cortizone shot!

Beautiful pics Tasha and babybefore30!!!! Those are some super cute babies! :)

Such cute photo's.

I had my little man weighed today and he is 11lbs 6oz, the doctor is happier with his weight now as 2 weeks ago he had dropped on the growth chart. I was never worried about his weight as he is such an active happy baby so i knew there was nothing wrong with him.

Sorry for those whose LO's aren't very settled at night. George slept from 9.30 till 5 and then fed and straight back to sleep until 9.15. I cant complain about that but i often wonder if he would sleep so well if i was still BF'ing. The 3 weeks i BF he was so unsettled all the time. I will still try BF'ing when i have a second baby as the midwife said that i gave him the best start by BF'ing for 3 weeks, i'll aim for 4 weeks next time lol.

I admire those who are still BF'ing with unsettled LO's.

so I'm beyond tired - my OH is at work tomorrow - only that means he leaves at 6am and won't be back until 3am the next morning - he's just said he will sleep in the spare room so we don't wake him when pickle has her 3/4am feed

well fucking great for him *fed up*

and of course he'll be useless on Friday too so I'll be left with baby for 48hours straight, I'm so tired I want to thump something :(

pickle is really unsettled from about 4pm onwards and is just a constant ball of crying and grumpiness that it's driving me nuts and I'm actually dreading tomorrow :(

fucksticks

have you all tried giving gripe water every 6 hours for a couple days? we tried that and ever since shes been a doll only needing it every couple days or so.

the original stuff is so grim we couldn't give it - she hated it :D

mine isn't wind, she's just a cranky madam when she's tired :D
