April Mummies 2011

I made it through taking Isis to "school" this morning. I teared up a little when I got to work but otherwise I'm fine. I changed my desktop background to a picture of Isis.
It's been tough this morning getting back into work. I've been away for so long! I need to go out in the field and look at my corn but that won't happen for a while between my recovery issues and the rain.
I'm going in an hour to feed Isis and eat lunch. I think I'll run a couple errands while I'm out too. We're out of hand soap at home and I'm thinking of getting a kiddie pool at the dollar store since we're supposed to get hot in a couple days.
Isis was rough again last night. She slept form 8:30-12:30 and then was up every 2 hours until 6 when we had to get ready for work. I'm like a zombie today!
Have a great Monday everyone!

I tried out Amelia with the pool. Didn't submerge her or anything! Just dunked her toes and feet in there. She whimpered at first then kicked a bit. So sweet!

All she seems to do now, though, is cry All the time! I am sure she has reflux as she's so sick after feeds. I can not lay her down without her screaming and even though she's gaining weight, she seems unhappy. Always windy. I took her to the doctors who fobbed me off saying It was my fast letdown causing wind issues. But I'm doubting it. She even hates the second I put her in her carseat. I'm guessing the C shape makes it hard on her belly and aggravates the reflux. She would cry for the entire journey. Kinda stressing me out at the mo.

Ollie has slept alot with the heat.
Last night he slept approx 8pm - 8am... 12 hours! :p
Hes asleep right now but Im going to wake him up within the hour for a final feed then put him down for the night :)

Im feeling a little fed up tonight. People are let downs :/

Gem people are always letting me down!! And I'm the kne usually trying to make plans and get together - dunno why I bother! What's up?

Aww jakes... The poor thing :( have you tried any colic relief stuff? Or gripe water?
Tobys just been diagnosed with reflux but the only time he cries from it is about 1-2 hours after a feed because he spits up just clear watery stomach acid. :(

Same here!
And people keep saying like yeahh Ill come and see you but then never do and Im just constantly being let down atm!
So much for friends :/
Im just getting a bit fed up of always being on my own besides being with the baby who doesnt speak other than shouting AH when hes excited haha!

Aww gem if I was closer I'd come and see you as I know how u feel!!! Oh that would be great - an April mummies meetup!! Shame we are all so far apart!

Thanks cottles- I have only tried gripe water once or twice. I should continue with it really. She's just so sickafter every feed, it makes me wonder. Ahh these babies sure make us worry!

jakes- you have to be consistent with the gripe water or it won't work as well. the first couple days we gave it to her every 6 hours and ever since then we've only had to use it on occasion. hope it works!

Thanks Jakes.
Haha we should find like a midpoint and all meet up there!
Itd be awesome to meet you all tbh.

Yes it would! I'm in surrey so am accessible to anywhere within reason!

Thanks Dana. I'm going to try that tomorrow.

Im in merseyside :)
I have a friend from Surrey! He speaks dead posh haha :p

Ahh Im happy again now. The guy Ive kinda been seeing has cheered me up a bit :)
Dont think Ive told yous about him?
Were not official or anything but we do the whole kissing/cuddling thing but no further than that as of yet haha. He keeps making it pretty clear that he wants to go further like but I just dont want to yet!
Ive known him like all my life nearly and worked with him then didnt speak for ages and now hes back in my life and didnt expect it to be like this!
I dont wanna get myself too attached though cos like I said, people have a habit of letting me down lately!

i'm in Kent. Pretttty much on top of the m25, so London's near enough and you can get pretty much anywhere from there... it just costs a lot lol

Gem, YAY for the new guy! Glad to hear you're happy. You deserve a good bloke... totally understand why you wanna take it day by day though. i think I'd be the same.

i wish it would cool down here, it's like 100F everyday.. I'm sick of sitting inside!!
At least I have a lot of stuff to look forward too as we're moving end of August/beginning of September and we'll have a big front & HUGE back yard!
And a completely renovated new house.. we live in an apartment now and it sucks!
I always wanted my child to grow up in a house with a huge backyard, and she is! :yipee:

cottles- doing great on the weightloss! what are you doing?

Thanks Hun... Just counting calories, eating healthy and cutting down on carbs... I pretty much never eat bread or pasta, and I use sweet potato instead of regular potato. Oh, and drinking much more water and much less squash, fruit juice and fizzy pop!

Please keep my cousin's baby in your thoughts...He was born 6 weeks early and they thought everything was fine but this morning he took a turn for the worst and is now only breathing on a ventilator and they said he was limp and lifeless....We havent heard the prognosis yet but i will keep you all updated :( It just makes me hold Ava a little tighter tonight.

And for those on facebook..I havent posted about it on there b/c its touch and go and i dont wanna upset my family anymore than they already are..
