April Mummies 2011

^^ WSS, Isis will usually have a nap when we get home from work and then will go down for the night at around 8 and sleep until ~3 usually.

Rosie takes a 10-15 minute Naomi around 5:30 or 6 but. Don't let her go much lo.gsr than that or else she is up at 10 and doesn't want to go back to sleep. Try just letting her have a small nap Gertrude

So I made the observation that AF was late last night but really who knowssince I had spotting a couple weeks ago. Well nothing like sex to get it going.g LOL. First day of vacation go figure!!

She's dead to the world and almost unconsolable :( not sure shed be happy with just a nap tbh but will try!

gertrude have you tried gently waking her after shes had a nap? say let her have 45mins or so, see what happens? alex often has a nap around 6 and will then have a bath and bed around 8-9ish. Just see if you can re-set her body clock a little? xx

I agree. LO often has a nap around 7 and then wakes around 8. Has a bath at 9, then bottle and bed. She gets grouchy for a nap around 7 but once she wakes up she's very happy and smiley.

Hope this works... Vid of Toby not actually crying for once :haha:
(I was recording with one hand and sorting out his vest with the other - not easy!)

anyone else's knees feel like sand's in the joints since having their baby? mine STILL hurt.

yep, my knees are awful and my left ankle is always painful, too painful to walk on sometimes. My Dr said it can take up to 9 months for the joints to tighten up again :(

A mixed morning...

The good - Rex slept in his cot until I woke him up at 7.30 this morning. He's never done that before! Woop! He's been getting up once between his late feed & morning the last few days so that's a huge improvement. Still working towards sleeping through.

The bad - our shower drain decided to block this morning so the shower tray over flowed & now we have water in spare room & lounge! Argh!

Hi girls, I am exhausted I think Daniel is having a growth spurt he just screamed yesterday and wanted to be held constantly, he normaly goes down at 7 but we had to take him for a walk round the park as he was screaming he finally went to sleep but then woke every 3 hours for a feed.

Today he is waking and then napping 2 hours after is this normal he has never been a great sleeper in the day and I have tried to get him into a routine but ever 2 hours seems a bit excessive?

bb30, Toby is doing the same at the moment. They do tend to cry/niggle/sleep more and get clingy during growth spurts I think.

every 2 hours here too for naps and hes gone back to waking twice in the night, eugh 2 steps forwards...! we'll get there eventually :D xx

Hi!!

I have missed my April Mummies!!! I hope everyone is doing well, I have about 10 pages of unread posts to catch up on :)

Lizzie is doing well, she's 3 months now and amazes (and frustrates) me every day. I'm back to work 3 days a week and my parents are watching her during that time. It's a nice break for both of us and my parents love spending time with her.

We're still breastfeeding and at times it's been quite a struggle. The biggest problem was that she would refuse bottles from anyone but my parents. When DH and I would take her out to a restaurant it was so frustrating because if she got hungry I had to run off to the car to feed her or on a few occasions I would just toss a blanket over my shoulder and feed her right there. She's a fussy eater sometimes and feeding under a blanket was like a constant tug of war with her!

I'm happy to say that now that she's getting bottles consistently 3 days a week she's so much better at taking them and even quite enjoys them! The first 3 months were so hard but I really am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now. I plan to continue breastfeeding for the first year if all goes well but am of course just taking it one day at a time. Pumping at work definitely isn't any fun, but I enjoy breastfeeding her and don't want to loose my milk, so pumping it is.

I can't wait to catch up with all of you and see the latest baby pictures. I'm going to make sure to get on here much more often so I don't have to read 10 pages each time I log on :)

Hey Bernina, glad everythings going well, there are a few of the April mummies who we haven't heard from for a while. Hope there all ok. Good to see you back :)

I've had such a stressful day poppy is running a temp! Took her to dr's the think it's a viral infection. I hate seeing her so poorly but thank god the Calpol is keeping her temp under control slightly!!

RiRi, sorry to hear Poppy is running a temp, hope the fever breaks soon and she goes back to feeling like her old self. Have you tried giving her a lukewarm bath? Might relax her and also cool her off a bit. Love the picture on your ticker, she is a cutie!

CrazyBird, George is adorable!!!
