Okay, finally caught up on most of the posts!
Gem, sorry to hear about the health problems you and Ollie have been having. Glad to hear you're both home but really hope they find out what's going on for you soon.
Cottles that was such a cute video of Toby!
I think Lizzie is going through her 3 mo growth spurt as well She's been eating more and waking in the middle of the night. Usually she goes down between 11-12 and wakes around 7-8, but the last few days she'd sleep for 2 hours, wake up punching herself in the face and chewing on her hands, I'd feed her, then she'd sleep maybe 4 hours and go at it again! She did sleep a good solid 8 hours last night so I can't complain but she's been napping going on 2 hours this afternoon which is quite unlike her. Usually she just takes 20 min cat naps after every other feeding. I'm not complaining about the free time it's given me though
We also started trying out cloth diapers over the past few weeks. I must say so far I'm quite impressed. Doesn't really add to my laundry and the Bum Genius pockets we're using have contained her nighttime pees with no changing throughout the night. I've had a few leaks (pee only) but I think that's because I didn't put them on tight enough.
If any of you have an iPad there is an app called Baby Piano HD (free). It turns your ipad into a keyboard and she loves playing with it. She'll sit in your lap for a good 10 minutes and play away. It's really cute!
Are any of your LO's tummy sleepers? Lizzie has never been a good back sleeper, always wakes herself up flailing around. Right now we use a wedge to keep her positioned on her side but now that she's stronger she rolls right over it and ends up on her stomach. SIDS of course scares the heck out of me but I can't keep going and repositioning her every few minutes because she just rolls back on her stomach. I think I may just start putting her to sleep on her side with nothing else around her to block her breathing and if she rolls onto her stomach, well so be it.
For any pumping mommies out there I've been drinking a few cups of Yogi Nursing Mother Support tea and it seems to really be helping my supply. When I started back at work I noticed my breasts always felt quite empty and I really had to struggle to pump 10 or so ounces which is about what she takes in a bottle while I'm away. Now that I'm drinking the tea my breasts feel fuller between feedings and I'm able to pump an extra bottle a day to freeze. You can buy it on Amazon with free shipping so I think I might stock up.
