***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

Fab news about Kinleigh and congrats whosthatgirl!

A week over today and still no signs at all, Had a curry and long walk last night and we DTD this morning and nothing.
Have a midwife appointment booked for next wednesday for another sweep which will be 41+5 which Im not too happy about as want it earlier as could be called for induction from +10 which is Monday but the horrible midwife I spoke to this morning said I have to wait. Hopefully something will happen before then

I'm soo fed up now!
I was up from half 4 this morning with painful braxton hicks, 10 mins apart increasing in pain. lasted for 3 hours then stopped.
before I went to bed I went on a nesting spree and
i've had diarrhea for 3 days which i'm hoping is a clear out.
my baby is playing tricks on me, is she on her way?? arrgh I want her here :(

Exactly the same happened to me, same timings and everything.......now they have tailed off although they are more painful when they do happen.........fx'd we both get to meet our LOs before the weekend is out hey?
:hugs:

My plan of action now is to (try and) go out in a couple of hours with a friend and we have a bunch of stuff being delivered tomorrow. Hopefully one of these two things will make him get a move on. If not I may insist on being taken out to dinner to the most expensive restaurant in the area; THAT'S bound to get him moving right?!

Well I have some news...

I'm back from my last MW & consultant appointment. I should say that I didn't get my 36 week appointment because both would've fallen on the Easter weekend. So I haven't seen he consultant since 28 weeks, and the MW since 34 weeks... (I'm 38+1 today)

Anyway, the consultant isn't happy because I still have itchy palms & soles, and on top of that I've gotten pretty swollen and today my urine was ++protein, so she's decided she doesn't want to wait until Thursday to get the wee one out, so I'm having the CS on Tuesday 20th! (which makes the wee one an Aries instead of a Taurus which I'm actually really happy about as my beloved Grandma was an Aries :D)

She said if I get any headaches at all I've to head straight for maternity triage, but otherwise we were OK to wait till tuesday because my BP was just fine, and had been all along.

I'm not too worried because I haven't had any issues at all with my BP, and I think my swelling is probably just down to having bad circulation combined with the pregnancy (I've already had both legs operated on before I turned 30 to strip varicose veins), but I'm not going to argue with her because the itchy hands & feet do worry me a bit!

So 4 days to go! :yipee:

Mo's a bit freaked out, bless him! I called him straight away, and his first reaction was "What are we going to do?!" *panic* Of course that answer was, exactly the same as we were going to do anyway, just 2 days earlier :winkwink: My DH is a bit of a worrier!

So... I've to see the midwife on Monday to go through the pre-op assessment stuff, but they took my bloods today because the consultant wasnts the LFTs checked again. I don't have to go in until Tuesday morning, and if I'm feeling up to it she says I can probably get home on Thursday sometime!

I'm feeling a bit shell-shocked right now, but very excited :D

Oh wow, you get to meet little one a little earlier!! I think my DH would react the same. I suppose when you've had your head set on a date it's a little strange to have it changed so suddenly.

Will be thinking of you all day Tuesday and can't wait for updates - especially if LO is a Gabriella or a Luca!

yey congrats ann!!

so exciting!! you never know maybe i might have my princess by then too!!

getting so fed up - everytime i log on facebook i have at least three different people asking me if i've had her yet!! its like arghhh if i've had her i think my status would have changed i think pics would hav been uploaded and i dont think i'd be sitting on facebook ready to chat to ppl!! i feel bad but as soon as someone writes i just log off!! xxx

Wow 4 days to go for you, that is so awesome!! You better rest up these next couple of days and enjoy the countdown that's even closer! :D

Great news 555Ann555, even sooner than you thought! Can't wait to hear your story and see the wee pics :)

I'm in annoyance land with you today Nikkibr, annoyed at my friend who's been a pain in my ass since I've been pregnant (just think it's me reacting to her differently than I did before). Annoyed at mother-in-law who says ''Still there huh?'' when I answer the phone (not even reached my due date yet for chrissakes), annoyed at my son for suddenly getting into know-it-all phase of life, lol.. just plain annoyed today. Except at BnB. Not annoyed here. :)

Hey ladies, I finally got an update for myself! haha
Well I had another ultrasound to check the size of the baby and she's about 6 lbs 8 ounces, so a small baby. The Dr. said my fluids are okay right now but starting to get low, so they are going to start inducing me on Monday. He said it will probably take a couple days, but it's time to get this baby out. I'm excited to see her, but sooo very nervous about being induced!!

I'm so excited to see her, but kind of scared about being induced. It'll be a painful couple days, but so worth it.

What a great event to look forward to! I can understand being hesitant about induction. As much as I feel our bodies are made to do this, my confidence lowers a bit when they start messing about with the ''natural process'' so to speak, with induction and whatnot. I'd wonder if the pain would be worse from it and whatnot. But in saying that, I've read some induction stories where the ladies didn't seem to describe the really painful event that I thought might result from it, so I think it's good to keep in mind it's all individual and you may very well sail through it pretty smoothly!

Minstermind a lot of it depends on how favourable you are, the inductions I've looked after who have found the pain a lot more manageable are the ones who have needed the least intervention to get them on their way!

Yeah, unfortunately it really varies by individuals on how induction will go. We'll see!

Hey Ladies! I'm just dropping in to let you all know that I have had my little boy. He came on his due date »April 13, 2010« at 5:55pm. He weighed 6lbs 12oz and was 20 inches long.

I will have to post my birth story later.

I am soooooooo in love with my little Aidan!

Congratulations TTCLILCU! :flow: I'll keep an eye out for the birth story :)

eeeeeeeeeeeek I think I *may* be next..... Contractions every 5 mins.... foooooook I didn't get a nap in today and now I'm far to tired to labour!

Ooooooo I have had a few too, 10 minutes apart at the moment.
