I'm in agony had a busy busy day not sleepo last night so am preying I don't go into labour this evening! LOL. But my son had a wonderful party. And I had a glorious day seeing family and friends! Feel really upbeat and happy!

BUt for once am happy to postpone labour for 12 or so hours! HUGE hugs!

I don't know if I said it but congrats to all the new moms!

My husband and I aren't having sex to get the baby out. It's way too awkward for us as well. Even though we know it might help, it's just not worth it haha So we've decided to just wait until after the baby and I'm all healed up to go at it!

However, today I've been pretty sick to my stomach. I'm thinking it's the tuna sandwich from Subway I had since that's pretty much the only thing I ate today. It feels like it's all going to come up! Lovely huh? Otherwise no contractions or anything like that! Think I'm in it for the long haul

Still nothing more exciting than feeling sick, backache and cramping. This little one doesn't want to come out but likes teasing mummy!

Mrs glitz I had then exact same symptoms last night. I hardly slept a wink. I genuinely thought it was the start if something xx

I had a few hours of contractions on Friday night too. I don't like this late pregnancy lark, I hate not knowing what's going on or what to do! I have had a huge increase in watery discharge and the pressure on my pelvis is so immense I am using my crutches or gripping the walls to get around our little flat when I usually manage to sort of shuffle around.

No. I was told that you don't need to until they're 5 minutes apart or lasting for over a minute.

ohhh more babies this morning and more ladies in labour. I feel like Im getting left behind 9 days over today and no sign of anything. I feel soooo jealous of all of you that re getting cramps on/off contractions etc as I have had nothing, not a single niggle, not a tiny bit of plug, just NOTHING at all!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Is it just me or do we April mummies (well apart from me) seem to be breaking the stats as it seems a lot of April babies are being born early or on time? There dosnt seem to as many over as I thought there would be? Even 4 out of the 6 babies from my NCT class were early! Think Im more than making up for all of them

Ahh minichicky, it's horrid watching people go early when you're overdue isn't it? (I remember from last time, I know I'm not overdue this time yet!).. At least you know that in no more than 5 days they'll have to put eviction plans in to action, the end really is in sight for you now although it's rotten waiting so long I know..

As for me... 2 days to go!!!

I'm mostly spending today with family, but that is a fairly typical Sunday. I'll go to my MIL for lunch, then drive up to my mum's (we all live in the same small town) and spend some time with my side...

I'm going to meet my best friend & her wee girl for lunch tomorrow, and hopefully find somewhere with a free waing appointment!

And appart from that it is just time to make sure all the last wee things are done in the house...

I dyed my roots yesterday, but I keep eyeing up my nails and wonder if I should file them off...

What do you think? Should the nails go before I scratch the baby, or should I leave them in case I manage fine without scratching?

How long are they?

I'd more think that for ease of fiddly jobs like changing nappies on a wrigglepot or trying to get little arms and legs through clothes you might find it easier with short nails.. Mine are always short as short but then working in NICU means our babies are even tinier!

Well they're short enough that I can still take my contact lenses in and out without scratching my eyeball! Its just that until I got pregnant my nails were always really weak and never grew longer than about 1.5mm over the nail bed...

If I turn my palm towards me most of them stick up by about 2mm. So I guess they're about 2mm longer than I'm used to!

So much going on! Congrats to everyone who has progressed and hugs to all those who like me havnt!

So im now over due by 3 days! Trying not to think about it too much!

Had a sweep yesterday, the MW said it was unsuccesful as i wasnt dialated enough for a sweep. My cervix was flat but not open?!

Last night however i had a bit of cramping and then woke up again to what i thought was my bloody show. But then it could have been caused by the internal?

So still dont know!

No contractions just dull aching!

Just got to keep waiting!

Congrats to all the new mummies

Constant backache getting a bit fed up of it now loads of pressure but still nothing...she is def being stubborn like my other 2 were lol.
Fingers crossed that when i get to the consultant tomorrow the old cervix is at least doing something?? Surely it must have been doing something with all these weeks of pains? i am so fed up now!!

Ann you've reminded me I really need to sort my nails out. I have Gel nails, they either need in-filling and filing down or removed. I am thinking I should get them removed, not because of length or anything (you can't scratch an itch with them!) but more for when they start lifting...

I am seriously fed up. Cramping has been going on for 1.5 days now following the contractions on Friday night/Saturday morning. Still, hopefully something is going on in there that will mean the sweep tomorrow will work!

No movement for me - Littlebug stayed where s/he is for our anniversary (lovely!) but I'm beginning to think this baby is hanging on for the long run now. I just need to get through this next week without going stir crazy!!

Rosa Marie Bak was born at 08.08am 17/04/2010 weighing in at 8lb 8oz.

Ache really badly atm in back and hips but we are home with the family and she is the spitting image of her big sister when she was born
