***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

Happy Duedate Minikat!

Kittenkat - that's great news on the sweep!

Birmz85 - congratulations!!

Kimmyjane - sounds MUCH more positive, I'm pleased for you!

AFM, I've been pottering about today tidying all the last bits I want to get done before this pickle arrives, all we have to do now is some final adjustments to jocelyn's cot and then we are DONE, wibbly can arrive when ever she's ready too (tomorrow would be just lovely please.. ) although the friend of ours who will be looking after jocelyn is away until saturday so going in to labour tomorrow night would be better than tomorrow morning.. Having said all of that I've had no signs what so ever so wishful thinking on my part and I'm still fully expecting to go overdue! My bump really really dropped yesterday and I had so so much more pressure down there but when I woke after a sleep in the afternoon it had come up higher again ad all the pressure had gone so I guess she's come back out of my pelvis again, pickle!

Well had sweep with the non usual midwife, but thankfully was not the other non normal one I had seen previously (didn't like her for some reason). This one was lovely and I am pretty sure the one that gave me my anti D jab. Got my induction ready booked just in case it will be needed but hoping that it won't be.

2cm dilated partially effaced and soft so signs are good seeing as was only 1cm dilated on Easter Sunday. So generally keeping my fingers crossed so I can deliver at the birthing centre instead of the ward.

Is that Bracken Ward/Centre hunni? We went to have a look around when we were expecting Harry and it's really lovely :)

Glad things are looking good and will keep fingers crossed that all goes well for you x

Yeah it the Bracken centre, didnt go on the tour but been in there twice on false alarms this time around and I really and keeping my fingers crossed for in there so I can on the off chance the little lady co-operates I can try a waterbirth. Plus I like the colour of the walls and chairs lol a very silly reason for choice of birth place but hey ho hehe

We loved it when we looked around and planned on a waterbirth for Harry, but as we had to be induced we couldn't go there. Now due to our previous c-sec we still can't have a waterbirth :(

You never know, we may end up in hospital (although on different wards if all works out for you) at the same time.

Oooh, small world alert! I have to go to willow sadly, no bracken for me. But might see you in there! ;) Labour ward has a pool if you can't use bracken for any reason. :)

Yeah know labour ward has one hehe, was lucky enough to be the only room spare last time, they tried their best to fill it for me last time around but only got it half full before Mia the moo-bag :haha: decided it was time to make her appearance so didn't get a chance to use it for the birth but I must say it did make a lovely bath for afterwards :happydance: could have happily stayed in there longer but they arrived with my lunch tray and I didn't think they would allow me to wallow and try and eat chips in the bath

They give you lunch?! :o I'm going in with enough supplies to keep the whole of the postnatal ward going for 3 weeks. You saying I don't needit?! LOL.

It really is a small world... I posted on here AGES ago for other Somerset mums and had no response, yet here are the 3 of us all due in April!!

Hahaha! I've been using this forum AGGGGGGGGGGGES as well.

And god, Kimmy, I'm sure I recognise you. Are you in the Taunton/Wellington area? Do you work in a shop or something Imight have been in? I'm probably dreaming it, or it might be the whole 'oh she lives near me so I must recognise her' thing! I'm in Wellington btw.

I was actually quite impressed with the food when we were in having Harry - was there 7:30am Sat - Wed evening in the end, so glad it wasn't the typical hospital food you here about :)

I'm in Bridgwater, but oddly enough I was driving through Wellington at the weekend... In fact, I've decided I want to move into the Wine & Cheese store there. LOL.

Can't say about what food you get on the ward these days last time I was actually ward bound was 9.5 years ago with son. But because of space there was no actual room for me with Mia so stayed in delivery suite until discharge in the evening.

They provided me lunch then around tea/dinner time the midwife that was with me for delivery asked if I was hungry as she would go raid the trolley on the ward for me. She came back brandishing biscuits, 2 packs of sandwiches (one cheese and onion and one cheese salad) and two packets of crisps. Polished those off sharpish and still managed to pack away my promised pizza that night hehehe

So snacks are likely going to wanted/needed just for incase munchies at odd times

Yeah, think I'm going to have to pack some snacks just incase :)

Also packing a couple bottles of water, as last time we were in there was a fresh supply of water all day long, but found that unless I wanted to wake everyone up by pressing the buzzer at night, I was REALLY thirsty... So going to make sure I have a sports-cap water bottle at my bedside just incase :)

Ooo now theres a plan, noticed earlier that we have some small bottles of water in our back fridge that OH's parents must have put in there when they were over visiting. Will have to "steal" them for when I go in just in case.

Well for now I need to go pick a takeaway, my plan for making chilli went out of the window as we are all out of quorn mince and I am taking the MW's advice on spicy food even though they don't have the desired effect really on my body. Though may resort to having a strong black coffee too as that is more effective for annoying my tummy

Great news that I want to share. I have tried calling my husband but he is not answering his phone.

The hospital just called and canceled the meeting for Tuesday morning and gave me Kinleigh's coming home date and that is april 26th. :happydance: 11 days until my baby girl is home. I love her so much and I'm missing her like crazy.
