I am not amused.

So the community mw called. She won't come to me. It didn't matter that I explained I have severe SPD and am on crutches and that the consultant wrote in my notes for a community mw to come to me. There are no appointments for weeks at my surgery so I have to go to a Children's Centre tomorrow. Which means a taxi as it is about 10 minute walk from a bus stop, which I clearly can't do on crutches with SPD.

So 10.40 tomorrow I go there. I am tempted to call the consultant clinic and make an appointment there too for Monday or Tuesday.

That sucks MrsGlitz. An expense and hassle you just don't need. Might be a good plan alright to arrange an appointment those other days too. You must be really frustrated at times now with the stop and start of it all, blegh.

Thank you for your sympathies on my last appointment. It really sucked big monkey butt. Hoping next week isn't so bad. Hoping I get more promising news on my cervix as it's really got me down thinking (ahead of time) that I'm going to be overdue. Oh wells, baby will come either way I guess.

I never thought about an induction failing before and having to do a section instead! That presents a new line of thought to me as they think I might be going overdue as well..hmm..

Great news KimmyJane84! Sounds like it's moving along smoothly now. So did your cervix change in a matter of a week or whatnot? Just wondering as mine is apparently firm and closed right now, so hoping it can change in a matter of a week, lol...looking for optimism here...

Sunflowers, sorry you didn't get much sleep. Don't they have a visiting hours policy there or something? That seems really inconsiderate to others having visitors at those hours. Hope you can get some more rest and your blood pressure stabilizes and all goes well if you need a section.

Flaming heck! Children's Centre called back and cancelled as they double booked so I called the hospital and it turns out I have an appointment there on Monday anyway, which I know I didn't book! Will explain to them on Monday about the community midwife here and see if they can sort someone to come to me once I am overdue.

My due date is today! Although, nothing is happening haha This kid has about five more days to make something happen!

I know! Still, am slightly cheered by my colleague and team leader popping over with gifts! Bearing in mind I have been off with my SPD since January I feel very lucky, am quite surprised! Some bibs, champagne, vests, baby towel and Mothercare voucher! Plus two cards as we haven't told anyone in RL that we're having a boy, so work got me one of each colour!

I think they give you quite a while to get on with the induction, 3 or 4 days and if that doesn't work then they go for the section.

Well pre-eclampsia confirmed, bp still all over the place.. 24 hour urine collection showed significantly raised total protein levels.

Section booked for tomorrow morning - so fingers crossed (staff/workload depending) we'll be meeting our pickle on St George's day!

Just got a text from Shinning_Star, she's had two pessaries now and still only mild (although painful still!) contractions. Bless her!

I had my baby on 20th April at 9.35pm, 8 days overdue. Weighing 6lb 12oz. I was team yellow and had a baby girl called Nevaeh. I wish the rest of you April ladies best of luck xx
