My blood pressure had kept going up and pre-eclampsia was confirmed. In the end they decided that they needed to deliver sooner rather than later.. It was a lovely section and we got some lovely photos of the moment she was born!

She's bf well and is just scrummy!

Hi girls just to let you know i had my baby this morning 9 days overdue...
Sophie Olivia Catherine was born @ 3.12am this morning after 2 hours of established labour after getting my waters broken at 1.30 pm yesterday afternoon.
Sophie was 10lbs 5oz and 56cm long, we are home now and just settling in...I am so pleased that i got my VBAC. Congratulations to all the other mummies and new babies xxxxxx

We are home!!!! Announcing the arrival of baby Freya!

Team Yellow turned Team PINK!!!

Born 1.27am thu 22nd April 1 week over due!

8 pounds 8 oz.

All done on gas and air and didnt start that until 8 cms!

Shocked the midwife as she predicted the baby would be born about 5 am. Hubbie guessed 1.30 so was pretty close!

Will try and post a more detailed birth story later!

Good Luck Every one else! Its is sooooooooooooooooooo worth it she is gorgeous!!

Husband and I are both feeling a bit tense the last couple days, ever since the news about me possibly going overdue. Not a bad thing or good thing, just kind of anticipating and it's got us wound up a bit. Using distraction today as I work on a painting and fart around on here and play with my son, lol..

Well I had some 'promising' signs but still here!

My feet keep swelling up, massively so to the point I wouldn't be able to get my shoes on but since the swelling goes down when I put my feet up the DAU aren't concerned.

DH got home at 9.15 last night and we didn't talk until he came to bed as he got a bit annoyed that I hadn't wiped down the backsplash behind the hobs (hello, I am 5ft, have a 9 month pregnant bump AND CAN'T REACH!) and he was also annoyed that our bedside table is being used to sit my laptop on; apparently it looks untidy, but again my bump gets in the way!

I can't believe how much the pressure is increasing down on pelvis/cervix area! I honestly feel like Baby H is about to just drop out now and have been hobbling around holding myself down there, as unrealistic as it is!

Your DH was very unreasonable last night MrsGlitz! I usually use the PC as it keeps me sitting more upright, but last night I used the laptop and I was surprised how difficult it was to keep it on my lap with the bump in the way!

Oh he realised that once he came to bed after hours of us being in seperate rooms! And he did apologise. Only after he asked what was wrong, I moaned about the pain and discomfort and he replied with "I wish I could do something to help.", I responded, "Well you could be a bit more understanding about the fact that I am carrying your child and the bump gets in my way!". He got all embarased!

Wow I can't believe how many babies there are.

I'm getting excited Kinleigh should be home in two days. Tonight is my Husband's high school 10 year reunion. I have mixed emotions about going. I guess I should enjoy myself because here soon I'll not want to go out because she is home.

Great news Mommyof3girls, and hope you have an enjoyable high school reunion. Those are ambivalent events at best, LOL... but it's good to get out and about now before Kinleigh comes home as I imagine you'll want to be with baby then.

MrsGlitz, so glad your hubby righted his wrong thinking there and was more considerate of your physical abilities right now. I guess on the plus side, you have a man who likes to have things in their place at home!

I have been so emotional today, crying for no reason. Literally I burst into tears in the bath, watching TV and laying in bed. I think it's all getting to me and now I am scared of getting PND.

Evie Grace Stott was born on 22nd April at 8.15pm weighing 7lb 14 oz. Very traumatic labour but well worth it in the end. Good luck to all of the remaining April mummies, sending lots of labour dust your way! x
