***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

I really believe I will actually get more sleep, or at least the same sleep, as I am now. I seem to be waking up once every hour or two (max) to go pee, and my aching hips have me feeling like I spend more time in bed trying to get comfortable than I do actually sleeping. So I'm not too worried overall when baby comes, think I'll be managing about the same as I am now, lol

Same here!

Congratulations Gemgti and the other new mommies (if I missed anyone there :)

LOL Sunflowers, your boob-obsessed little pickle comment had me laughing!

Does anyone else who does NOT have SPD have serious hip ache issues in bed at night? I'm just trying to figure out if this is a generally normal pregnancy condition or something maybe SPD-related (though obviously not as severe as some of you are unfortunately experiencing). But it sure does interfere with my comfort level right now, mostly in bed, but I can feel a whole lotta aching when I stand up from sitting down for awhile too. Once I get walking and moving, it's better though.

Me!! and sometimes walking too if ive overdone it in the day xx

Thanks MrsA! :) Oh yes, I can relate to that from over-walking too. It's killer! I don't know why I don't remember having it like this with my son (7 years ago). Maybe it's being a bit older....maybe it's cause then I had a big fat waterbed and it was a lot more comfortable than this ''normal'' bed I sleep in now, haha!

hahahaha no probs, sorry for jumping in on your April thread, mind you im only 2 days away from being here myself (due 2nd may :)
I hope your hip gets a little better, i find if i sleep with a pillow under my hip, its not as bad, but even getting in and out of bed is bad at times xx

You're like me, nearly straddling both months...I wasn't even sure about joining any of the month threads for awhile as my due date was so close to the edge, LOL.. but settled on April and could just as well be May anyhoo! :)

I've never tried the pillow under the hip trick...will have to give that a go..thanks! Just been putting one between my legs but that's getting limiting in its benefit now too. Just keep thinking to myself, it's only a matter of days now eh? :)

yeah i know theres only 1 day difference between our tickers! lol
Yeah try the pillow thing and i also try to make sure i put most of my weight on my good hip when im standing etc hth xxx

I didnt have SPD and still had terrible nights sleeps, was in agony by morning and totally exhausted. Not long to go now though ladies, hang in there
xx

I didn't have SPD, and sleep was a major issue for me for at least a couple of months. I was waking hourly with sore hips (and needing to pee, of course!)...
Since Ollie was born I have slept SO much more - and better sleep too. I am way more comfortable (even with c section to deal with) and sleeping more deeply. Plus I have been napping more during the day which makes a HUGE difference too.

Does sound strange though, doesn't it? I mean, looking forward to having a newborn so you'll get more sleep!! :haha:

I'm seriously depressed at the thought there are only 16 more births to be added, some of which have probably already happened and the mummies just haven't got on yet! I'm starting to feel like Baby H is never going to arrive!

:hugs: Hang in there. I know how you feel. Baby H will be here soon. I hope everything starts to happen for you soon.

I've had serious hip and pelvic pains when sleeping too. I actually dread waking up to roll over because it hurts! haha I don't have SPD either, I think once you get big enough it's just going to happen. That's one of the major (non-baby cuddling, meeting etc) reason I'm totally looking forward to having this kid right now!

MrsGlitz, you just had to count the births left, huh? haha That is depressing, only 16 left. Figures I'd be one of the last ones! However, they've got to come out sometime don't they? It'll be our turn soon enough!

Freyasmum, thanks for being the light at the end of our sleep deprived tunnel! I'm so looking forward to some comfortable sleep coming!

This is a list of the mommies/mummies that should have had their babies by now, or was induced, in labor, or had a section. Does anyone know if these lovely ladies have had their little ones? Thank you :)

I'm just waiting for the test results and then she should be home. I should be sleeping but I can't. I'm excited but I'm also scared. Excited because there is a pretty good chance that she will be home today but there is the small chance that the infection could still be there and that she would have to stay.

However, I already have the bottles of breast-milk in fridge waiting for her to come today and I'm thinking about getting her clothes ready so my husband can take him with him tomorrow to get her.

All the nurses keep telling me that she is doing great and should be home today. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

See... I clearly can't count anymore thanks to sleep deprevation!

Keeping fingers crossed for Kinleigh coming home!

18npregnant was having a section last Friday, but not heard from her since Thursday.

Can I rant please

I'm seriously pissed off Grr saw consultant and he told mw not to bother giving me a sweep. Which means i'm still completely clueless as to wether anything is going on... No idea wether I've dilated at all not even been told wether he is engaged or not I'm as clueless as I was before appointment... So angry! Was told I'd be getting a sweep today and now the consultant said there's don't bother?!? Like it's that much effort! Induction booked for may 6 th if nothing by then :( x
