***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

cant believe im still waiting for my baby! especially after everyone 'reckoning' i wont make my due date! 8days overdue and induction wednesday .. i SHOULD still be an April mummy? :) xxx

Hi,

Just want to wish all you April mummies all the best...you'll have your little babies sooooo soon :)

It really is THE MOST AMAZING feeling in the world...I would go through the pain a million times over for just one kiss of my sons skin.

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancies :)

Nicola xx

Hospital just called....

Kinleigh is coming home today. I'm the happiest mommy ever at this moment.

Thank you all for the kind words & prayers. You all have kept me sane through the past 21 days.

Now there's only 12 births left? That's kind of funny really!

I had the best nights sleep that I've had in about a week last night. I just shoved one of my pillows under my bump and it felt so much better. Wish I would've done that awhile ago instead of being stubborn and wanting my pillows at my head!

I also have an appointment tomorrow and am kind of hoping that they want to send me in to have the induction tomorrow night or afternoon. They said last appointment it'll be Tuesday or Wednesday to get it started. Here's hoping tomorrow! I'm just so ready to meet our little guy that it's driving me insane! :D

OOOOH! Congrats mommyof3girls!! That has got to be the best news for you to hear this morning!! I'm excited for you!

So happy for you to finally bring your little one home Mommyof3girls, that's fantastic news :)

Sabriena, here's hoping you get your wish! I can relate to your feeling though I've not quite reached my due date yet, lol..

That's funny, Jadey-x, I got the same. For the last 10 or more weeks people around me have said I wouldn't make my due date due to being so apparently 'massive', lol..I told them all there was no reason to think I'd go early as I'm carrying the same as with my son 7 years ago, lol..so here I still am! Mama knows best :)

Mummy2b17, that's whacked they wouldn't even check you at this point in time. Strange one..can you maybe give them a call and ask about it? I would think it would be better to give a sweep a chance instead of inducing without even trying that first?

Glad to know I'm not alone in the hip aches thing at night (though sorry for all of us who are going through it, and more sorry for those with the SPD!).

I've got my next appointment Wednesday and hoping they'll tell me my cervix is a bit more favorable than last Wednesday, when apparently it was still firm and closed. This last couple of weeks waiting (and not knowing if I'll go overdue) is worse than the anticipation of Christmas as a kid, lol...

My husband and Kinleigh should be home with in the half hour. I'm probably not going to be on here much in the next 24-48 hours. when I come back on I hope to have a lot of births to update. Good luck girls, I ccan't wait to hear about the arrivals of you LOs. I want to see pictures too. :)

Great news about Kinleigh!

If I don't go into labour naturally I am being admitted for induction on Saturday night. I didn't end up seeing the consultant but another reg. She gave me a sweep and it was the worst one I have ever had, it was so sore!!!! She explained normal policy at my hospital is to induce at T+14 but she was happy to do T+7, due to my SPD but uncomfortable with any sooner as my cervix still isn't favourable! I burst into tears. Off she went and I was still crying when the mw came in to book me in for induction. She then went to speak to the reg and the consultant and between the 3 of them they changed their minds and agreed that meeting me halfway would be best for my mental health as much as physical with the SPD. So, the ward is booked up for Friday night so I am being admitted Saturday night when will have first VE and perssary if required.

I'm still hoping for natural labour given all my so-called signs recently but no longer holding much hope!

Another one here who got a great night's sleep last night!

My due date today, had an end of year exam this morning at uni thought the stress might bring it on, but nothing, I want to meet my baby now please!!

:wohoo: :wohoo:
Fantastic news, mommyof3girls!! :happydance:
You'll be far too busy staring at your beautiful wee girl to post on here for ages! All that marvelling takes up a lot of time.

Congrats to any other new mums/moms I've missed so far - seems like the count is going up every time I blink!

Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting. :hugs:

Best of luck for Saturday then MrsGlitz! Fingers crossed something happens in the meantime x

Aw MrsGlitz, that's pretty great news (bummer all the suffering to get the news though). But at least now you can definitely look forward to just a handful of days til you meet little one and your SPD is finally over, Woo!

KathiB, I totally sympathize :)

Well, I'm technically 3 days away from my due date (the 29th). I know my ticker is off a few days from that. Went for a lovely walk in the woods with my husband and son earlier. It was tougher than the walks I've been doing around the block as there were some up and down hill parts. I've had extremely subtle cramps maybe twice now which I reckon might be my cervix becoming a bit more favorable (at least I'm hoping!). Here's crossing fingers the full moon will be my time :)

Just a quickie as I'm in hosp and this mini keyboard takes forever! Had my little boy this morning, nothing like the birth I had in mind and had a few complications but still, he's here now and he's absolutely adorable. Will do a proper update once I get home and can add pics :)

Congratulations AFC84! Can't wait to hear your birth story and see the little one :)

MrsGlitz, that's awesome news that now you have at least have an end in sight! I'm glad they decided to compromise with you as well.

KathiB, happy due date!! :D

Minstermind, I hope you do get to go at the full moon!

Congrats AFC84 on having your boy, can't wait to see pictures! :)

Thanks all, I do feel better for having a date in sight but also disappointed with myself. I really thought I might be able to hold on for spontaneous labour until T+14 as per normal policy in my PCT but the way I broke down when the reg initially said T+7 told me otherwise. There was a student Dr in the room too and they both looked quite startled!

Well today is my due date.. Got an hour left of the day and no sign of Jessica making her appearance into the world :(

Pre-op for Wednesday's c-sec went well today. We have to be in hospital 8am and I'm first on the list, so should be in theatre about 9am.

Starting to feel very nervous if I'm honest and really quite guilty about leaving Harry.. The hospital wards are currently closed, so only hubby will be able to visit. This means I won't see Harry from Tuesday eve through to Friday when I'm discharged :( Then when I see him I'll be with a new baby and I really don't know how he will react..

Will try to get an internet/phone/TV card so that I can update you all, especially as I won't have any visitors and will need to catch up on everyone's news as the month draws to a close.

Congratulations to all new mums and to Mommyof3girls :) Hope to see lots of new births when I get online next. Sorry not to reply to some of your posts, a little tired and emotional now xx
