***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

Mrsglitz- you say your edd by your last lmp is 3rd of may so what's your edd by scan? By my lmp I'm not due until tommorow but according to scan dates I'm 4 days overdue x

My EDD by my scan was yesterday, that's what I've gone by on my ticker as I was told the scans are more accurate!

He's all good. :)
Feeding well, getting more alert and spending more time looking around now... I keep forgetting that he's only a couple of weeks old though and getting annoyed that he's not sleeping thru the night yet! :haha:

How's it with Miss Kinleigh being home? I didn't expect to see you online for ages!

It's great, I'm so glad that all of my girls are together finally. She amazed me because I thought she would have trouble latching on to eat and she didn't. She only gets a bottle when daddy takes care of her. I understand the sleep thing. Her first night home I thought she would be in a routine, boy was I wrong. she up at night and sleeps during the day and that gives me time for bnb. I can't stay away :).

hi everyone, iv finally got the internet sorted at my new house and just wanted to show off some pictures of my princess im not too sure how to upload them so hav a look at my pic and my thingy below xxx

Hi ladies. I found out today via voicemail off my midwife that I have strep b .I only found out cos I have a water infection and my urine sample was sent off. So if I hadint of had a water infection I wouldint of known I have strep b . I've been crying and getting myself in a state over it. My midwife expects me to wait until Tuesday to talk To her about it! I feel like I've been left in the lurch xx

Oh no xbabybumpx! I don't know anything about it, except if your waters do break then get yourself to hospital asap because I think they give you antibiotics.

I can't believe you have to wait until Tuesday to talk to her, especially considering you are overdue!

I have Strep B too and will have to go in once contractions are 10 minutes apart or once my waters go. I will be given antibiotics during labour. As far as I am aware risk to baby is minimal. Oh and I have been told we will be kept in for 24 hours for monitoring.

I'd give your midwife a calll if you want to discuss it, or maybe speak to your GP if a midwife isn't available?

Anyone got any 'signs' on this full moon night?! Nothing here! :growlmad: DH is not amused that he will have to go to work tomorrow.

I've had no signs. I actually don't want to have this baby until I've finished antibiotics for my water infection. I'll be finished the course on Tuesday morning. So ill be 10 days overdue. From what I've been reading there's a greater chance of the baby getting strep b if the mother has a water infection. I'm probably the first person to actually want to go more overdue, watch it not bloody happen lol x

Is getting bored of waiting now....yesterday i thought something was starting to move.......but still nothing....and to top it off the midwife was meant to ring me back tuesday ref my stretch and sweep and let me know when my appointment is and still nothing...i left 2 messages yesterday....dont mind if they rang and said sorry really busy but we got the message but nothing. Sorry think im a bit teachy as just want to have this baby now....i want to meet my LO. Is anyone else too scared to go anywhere just in case????

As much as i hate hate hate hate this saying but, ive retired to the fact baby is gonna come when ready. i cant beleive i just that ha ha xx

I just wanted to say I've not abandoned the thread, so even though most of us April mummies have had our wee ones, I for one am still keeping up with how the rest of you are doing!

I'm sorry about the stress of going overdue & the strep-B thing :(

Today would've been my due date! Of course I'd known since 28 weeks that they weren't going to let me go to my due date, so it doesn't have a big momentous feeling for me, but still, happy due date to us! :haha:

I'm settling down today to start on the thank-you cards. Got a decent picture of Gabriella yesterday (posted in my journal) so just printing out the inserts now...

Brilliant news about her attaching so well! Just shows you that nipple confusion doesn't happen for all of them! And you end up so paranoid about it too :dohh: I've been giving Gabriella a dummy to go to sleep since day 6 and she's not confused about latching on either

BTW, last night Gabriella actually bahaved how I'd hoped! :D She fed at 10.30pm, 2am, 5am, and 7.30am, and actually slepts in between :happydance: I got to stay in my bed all night long (except 1 nappy change) it was amazing!

I don't mind if she wants to feed half a dozen times in the night, I just really needed some sleep in between feeds!

I think I would be going a tad crazy if I didn't have an induction date. Another bad night last night, not helped by furious rowing with DH who I just wish would go to work rather than start his leave now. Thing is I am incapable of doing anything now, I can't reach any food, I can't hang up washing, I can't bend down so he's started his leave now. 3 weeks he's taking now. I sound so ungrateful don't I?!

I swear i had some 'proper' contractions last night, they came with back and bump pain an everything. I told OH not to expect to go to work this morning and of course woke up this morning without the slightest twinge. :nope:

Mrsglitz- I rang up the hospital this morning to ask questions about strep b and how close the contractions have to be before I'm kept in. She said I need to be at least 4cm dilated and to have 3 contractions in 10 minutes. This concerns me that I may not have sufficient time to get the antibiotics I need. whats your hospitals policy on this? X
