Are you living below the poverty line?

With rent deduced, we have £275 a week, two children, two adults, one income.

We'd be way below the line even if we didnt have a baby.
Meh... Crossing my fingers for a lottery win.

According to these figures we are over (as I expected) but I'm surprised that it shows us as not much over.

We both have decent jobs and we have a mortgage on a nice house in a nice area, and run two cars (cheap ones but that's our choice) pay childcare, have sky tv, pick the bargains in the weekly shop but again that's my choice and there are treats in there... etc etc. We aren't out as much or away on holidays as often as we used to be but that's because of having children not because of not affording it, I think.

Maybe it'll be harder when the children are older (ages 4 and 2 now) but I don't think we personally will ever feel poor on our wages.
