Assisted Conception Ladies Due in Summer 2012?

Good luck tomorrow Annie, I'm sure your little one is doing great!

Wantanerd, that is so exciting about the movement! I have heard that the 1st movements do feel a little like a strange case of gas, so I'm sure you are feeling your baby.

Hi Touch, love the bump photo! Yesterday was the 1st day where I had a random person ask me about me pregnancy and when I am due, so I was excited that I must finally look like a pregnant woman as opposed to someone that maybe had just eaten a big meal. I am not the greatest with technology, but I will see if I can get a bump photo to post.

I have a scan tomorrow with the perinatologist and they are going to see if they can tell the sex of the babies! I am so excited, I hope the babies are being cooperative tomorrow because I am dying to find out what they are.
BTW, michelle do you have to pay to find out the genders there? In canada it costs $100 to find out!

has anyone else bought maternity clothes yet? i really need pants but i'm avoiding all shopping due to the holiday madness here in LA! we went to home depot just to buy a christmas tree yesterday and even that was overwhemling. people are so cranky this time of year.. anyway, back to topic.. i am usually a size 8, although after my knee surgery last year i gained about 10 lbs so then i was sort of between an 8 and a 10. now my lucky brand jeans size 10s are to the point where i can't button them. i bought a pair of 14's awhile ago thinking they would be good for when i'm still small, and although they fit me in the waist now (somewhat depressing, right?) the band still bothers me when i sit. i need some good ideas on where to get some good maternity jeans that aren't too expensive. i don't want to pay a ton of money for jeans that will be temporary, ya know?

Sometimes you can get stuff at consignment shops? Or even on craigslist if you are OK with that. I know that Old Navy, Forever21, and H&M has resonable maternity stuff too. You are so lucky in the states, so many options! Here we have 3 maternity stores and they are all ridiculously overpriced! I am hoping they have boxing day sales!

harvest, i didn't realize you are from BC? i'm from seattle so i am very familier! i've taken the ferry up there many times :)

yeah i was thinking of checking old navy and H&M.. i don't care for forever 21 stuff.. i'm just waiting for the holidays to be over.. hopefully my belly doesn't explode before now and then, lol!

how about ebay?? i'm in the uk and most of our high street shops sell maternity wear

Touch, I am avoiding maternity clothes too! I have a pair of Jeggings that are now fitting me again. There are maternity jeans under the tree my mom bought me for christmas. But until the jeggings are no longer comfortable, I am staying in them and yoga pants.

In the military, they dont "check" gender but if they happen to see between the legs and find out then its fine. I am hoping I get an u/s at my appt on Thursday but since there are no guarantees for an ultrasound that day, I made sure and paid 100$ to find out a week from Thursday.

Just found out my cousin's (who is ten days older than me) wife is pregnant and due about 2 weeks after I am. Its funny history is repeating itself again.

I have been in maternity clothes for a couple weeks now. The cheapest clothing that I have found has been at Motherhood Maternity. I think the pair of jeans I got from them was around $30-$40. I also have a pair of leggings I bought there for about $20, a couple sweaters and a couple cardigans which were between $20-$30 each, some tanks for under the cardigans that were about $15, and a dress for work that was on sale for about $25. The clothes they sell at Pea in the Pod are nicer, but a lot more expensive. My mom got me some clothes from there, and the jeans are really cute, but they cost about $80 (they also have designer jeans there that run over $150). I also ordered some tops and another dress for work from Gap Maternity, and those were more expensive than Motherhood Maternity but less expensive than Pea in the Pod. Once I tried on the maternity clothes there was no going back because they were so much more comfy than trying to fit into my regular clothes!

I don't have to pay extra for the scan. It is just a routine scan that the perinatologist is doing, but they have the 3d and all kinds of fun stuff, so they told me they would take a look for me tomorrow. Both my babies have been measuring a little ahead, so by tomorrow they should be measuring close to 16 weeks, and they told me by that point unless they are being camera shy they should be able to tell.

Yeah I have been counting down until 16 weeks so I can find out. I am hoping the baby is on track. The last measurement they did was at 8 weeks and the baby was a little behind. The baby was moving around too much at 11 weeks but the baby looked to be a good size. I am hoping if they measure me on thursday I measure at 15 w1d at the smallest.
I am hoping the baby is a little ahead. But they might not ultrasound me.

That's so funny what a small world. Seattle is so close to me! We have been there quite a few times. You must love being in CA though, the weather up here is so damp and cold all the time.
Hope ur belly hangs in there till boxing day :haha:
I am just so happy leggings and tunics are in style right now, talk about perfect maternity wear :)

Welcome Mrs. CP and Touch! I definitely recognize you girls from previous assisted conception forums. You are right Touch...it is so hard to find a home amoungst the other pregnancy forums....this has been a great thread! And your baby bump is SO CUTE!

Sorry I've been MIA...I just got back from NYC with my mom last night! We had a great time and took in three shows. We even saw How to Succeed in Business iwht Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter)...it was SO FUNNY. I definitely recommend it :) It was an amazing trip!

I go in for my 8 week scan today at 10:45...I am SO excited, nervous and anxious. If all goes well today, my FS hands me off to my new Ob-gyn. Just hoping and praying that we hear the heartbeat instead of just see it like last time.

Good luck today Annie! I have a good feeling it will go well...I can't wait to hear how many beans you have :)

Michelle - Good luck today too! HOpe those babies cooperate!

Maternity suggestions...Target now has a Maternity line and has some cute stuff (and CHEAP). I think Macy's is also getting a line (or already has one). And ya, like others said, Old Navy has stuff too but not sure if it is cute or not.

michelle- thanks! i think we have a motherhood maternity here. i'm a big fan of the gap so i'll have to check out their maternity stuff too :)

harvest - yeah i've been in CA for almost 10 years and i LOVE it! i only recently started missing seattle, just a little bit here and there..

sunshine - thanks!

i feel like my bump is getting bigger everyday, i'm sitting here at work with my pants unbottoned and it's STILL uncomfortable! i'm not sure how i'm gonna last until after xmas. even then, i'll be in arizona visiting my parents until new years, so no shopping for me until january :( luckily, my job is transitioning me to work at home soon, so i'll be able to work in the comfort of my PJs!

Glad you had a fun trip sunshine! GL with the scan today!
GL with your scan today too Annie, can't wait to hear how it goes.
Touch I am so jealous of getting to work from home while preggo! That will be bliss :) Can you wear lulus to work until you get to shopping? That is what I am in today and they are so much more comfy than normal pants!

Good luck today sunshine, I'm sure everything will be great!

I had my u/s and my babies are so cute, but not cooperative today! Baby A had the legs shut tight and crossed at the ankles, and Baby B had the legs tucked in, so they were not ready to show us the goods. They also gave me weights for the babies today (this is the 1st time they have done that). Baby A is 4 oz and Baby B is 5 oz. It's so crazy to see them look more and more like babies! I have an u/s with the regular ob in 2 weeks, so maybe they will be ready then!

harvest- what are lulu's?

michelle - congrats on the u/s! how do they measure the weight? hopefully you'll get to see the goods next time :)

Glad your babies are ok Michelle, shame they aren't being cooperative at the moment!!

My jeans at work today were really tight as soon as I got in the car to come home I had to undo them and I'm only nearly 8 weeks!!!

Xxx

I just had my scan and it was AMAZING!! Our baby looks perfect and has a wonderful heartbeat of 168!!!

I "graduated" from my fertility specialist today and go to see my new OB next week :)

I have a perma-smile right now :) I feel like we got past a REALLY big hurdle.

Michelle - That is awesome that you got to find out what their weights are at this point! How neat :) Too bad they weren't cooperating though...when do you get to go back?

congrats sunshine! i know how exciting it is to graduate to the next level, yay! do you have your first OB appt scheduled?
