Babies that were due in may 2012

Hope you get some answers soon Meghan!!

Can't believe all the babies are turning 1!!!

I'm off to South Africa in Sunday for two weeks so won't be able to get on bnb to check anything, but will be thinking of you ladies!!

Ashlynn has been so badly constipated for a few days. :( really upsets me seeing her in so much pain. Lactulose doesn't seem to be helping too much. :( also she's got a touch of eczema so we went to the doc and got some cream and shampoo. The shampoo smells like sheep dip and the cream is giving her a rash and last night she screamed blue murder when I put it on so I think it might be burning her. :( will stop using it and go back to the doc when we back from holiday.

U/S showed a slightly dislodged IUD. So now I get to wait for a gynecologist appointment... I really hate waiting...lol

Anti, I've heard many people using coconut oil on eczema with great results. We use coconut oil nightly on G's skin, and its amazing stuff!

Hope you have a great trip!

because I can't squeal in excitement on facebook yet: My GODSON is on his way. and even on his due date!!! I can NOT wait to meet this little guy. I actually think im more excited to meet him than I was to meet my own little guy because I'm not the one going through labour! :haha:

I can't believe Jason is one in just 5 days!! He's started saying mum and I'm positive it's a first word and not a noise :D

my little miss is walking like a tropper now bless her

Best part about returning to work - DH finally can answer his question about what I do all day! He was complaining about how tired he was after having to take care of G for ONE WHOLE DAY by himself...lol

Wow they're turning one already! I've been mia for a while but I thought I'd pop back for the big milestone to see how everyone was doing'?!

Annabelle is one a week on Friday she was the latest in this group I believe as I went mega overdue, so this time last year we were hoping and praying she'd come soon as I was very ready to meet her! Now she's nearly one and I can't believe how fast its gone, I wouldn't have her anyway she's the sun in our lives x

Sorry I've been missing for such a long time! I've been silently reading and catching up on everything, but evie broke my laptop, so am having to use my phone atm.

This time last year I was in the maternity assessment unit, my waters had broken and contractions were coming thick and fast! Its insane how fast the year has gone!!! Evie has been walking for about 7 weeks now, she's so speedy! Makes me sad to think she's more of a toddler than a baby now :( she's developing such a cheeky personality! I love her so much though, she is the best thing that ever happened to me. Will try upload some recent pictures of her, as well as her little present stash, and the cake I made her :) it took me hours, but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out :)

Hey all! Jackson turned 1 on the 5th, I can't believe its been so long already! And congrats to the ladies who are pregnant again or who are trying! Ideally I would like to wait until Jackson is ready to be potty trained before I get pregnant again but if it happens, it happens. I don't want more than a 3-4 year gap between them either.

Anyway, anyone have issues on a couple things with their LO's? First, those who have transitioned to milk instead of formula- lactose intolerance? Regular milk tears Jacksons little butt right up and he has the worst stomach cramps. I never noticed it before but one day he wasn't feeling well and had mainly milk and not a lot of solids and he was so miserable the next 2 days that I went and bought lactose-free milk in the hopes it would help. So far it has been amazing for him! I ran out one day though and gave him a bottle of regular milk and it burned his butt again so at least I can say I know it's something in the milk :( don't want to go to soy unless absolutely necessary so now I gotta make an appointment with my pediatrician to see where we go from here.

Rosalie dosnt take any milk now apart from in her cereal she prefers a cups of juice.
shes doing really well with eating what we eat now, i can just make us all the same dinner now which is great.

shes getting more confident now with her walking aswell, she had her jabs and 1year reveiw on Tuesday gone and HV was pleased with her progress which was nice to hear :) x

Im IUD-less!

With a bit of dilation, and digging with forcepts, the specialist managed to remove it with surgical intervention. Im so glad its all over and done with! We are now officially NTNP!

Eek! Glad it all went well Meghan! Good luck!

Oh yay, glad to hear it! Good luck with NTNP.

As for me, AF isn't due until the 3rd but I believe I've gotten a super faint BFP today (started with an almost-invisible second line yesterday) and slightly more noticeable ones today. I'm insanely nauseous to the point that I thought I was gonna throw up at work several times and my boobs are killing me so FX it's truly a BFP (and isn't a defect in my stupid cheap internet dip sticks lol) and a sticky bean!

Oh YAY!!! It sounds like major congrats are in order, Amanda! Will cross all my fingers and toes for a sticky bean and a healthy next 9 months!

I am kinda hoping we don't fall pregnant until September. I would like for G to have his 2nd birthday before a new LO makes their entrance, and I am hoping to have a low key, super enjoyable (meaning alcohol involved) summer, but Im not truly fussed either way.

Kendra: I have seen your FB status - sending you lots of :hugs:

As for your milk question:
We are using Almond milk as a milk substitute, as G's intolerance is more likely the protein, rather than the Lactose. I saw a nutritionist this past Wednesday to talk about what the best thing for G's issues is and he is the basics of our discussion:

If whole milk isn't tolerated, the recommendation is to remain on whatever formula worked, trialing whole milk every few months. The main concern is the fat and protein content of whole milk can not be matched by milk alternatives, and the fat content is MAJORLY important for healthy brain development.

If choosing to use a milk alternative (hemp, almond, coconut, soy etc) then you need to ensure that you are supplementing for the missing nutrients. Not all MA's are nutritionally equal, some are little better than water. You should look for a brand that is fortified with extra nutrients, so the only thing you need to add is a fat of some sort.

We are continuing with Almond milk, we found that "almond fresh" and the refrigerated "Silk True Almond" to have the closest nutrients to whole milk. We are adding a tablespoon of Coconut oil into his bottle to make up for the lacking fat, and increasing his protein intake in his solids.

Since Jackson is tolerating the lactose free milk, I would continue on that, Im fairly sure you can find whole milk that is lactose free, so you wont have to play around adding things.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks! I took another IC this morning and the line looked a bit darker than last night's. I also took a FRER and the line appeared almost immediately so yay for that.

So apparently my little sister is pregnant...not planned. She's only been with this guy for about 6 months.

Kinda bothered by it. I am NTNP and feel like that if I get pregnant, she's going to freak and be a drama queen saying I only got pregnant because she was (even though that not the case) She's dramatic like that... sigh... and as dramatic as it sounds, I don't want to be sharing my pregnancy again. Last time was enough with my nutty SIL.
