Babies that were due in may 2012

Kwood I hope you have a good holiday in September.

Lola needs a lot of reassurance for nap and bedtime but I'm pretty sure it's a phase as so many mums at her playgroups are going through the same thing. She loves her daytime nap!

Anti - Ashlynn is growing fast! Lola is just into 18-24 month leggings but they are a bit long and she still fits perfectly into 12-18months. I think Lola is quite dinky although she has size 5 feet now!

Oh and Lola is fascinated with babies at the mo!!

Love hearing how all your toddlers are doing :)

For whatever reason I cannot view page 116 of this thread on my computer no matter what lol. I can view 115 and 117 but if I click 116 it takes me back to 115. But I can view it from my phone... so weird lol.

anti: Damn. was hoping for an easy solution... I think we've tried everything we can think of to help Gabriel sleep better. last night wasnt too, up 4 times, but I only had to go in once. the other 3 times, he fused for s minute and went back to sleep. we talked with his pediatrician, he's grown s full inch in the past month and a bit and gained 2kg, so might be the cause of how badly he's been sleeping in the same time frame.

little guy is a monster at just over 34 inches.... he's 12.5 kg ( so about 26-27 lbs) he's been wearing size 2t since before his birthday...

Ashlynn's sleep has been worse these last few weeks so it must be an age thing! She woke at 5:30am today... I'm not a happy momma! She's gonna have to take a nap today!

The last time we got ashlynn weighed was right at the beginning of December when she saw the specialist, she was 13.2kg so just under 30lb I think, and about 84cm tall, she's so much bigger than the other kids at playgroup! We live in a maisonette and I have to carry her up and down 4 flights of stairs everytime we need to go somewhere, it's agonising! Especially when I have the changing bag and shopping to carry at the same time!

I'm intrigued about Lola's height and weight now, think I'll measure her today!!

Talking of sleep she wouldn't go to sleep til after 9pm last night and spent all night in with me. She always wakes up atleast 3 times per night and generally gets in with me.

So what's your toddlers favourite thing/a to do at the mo?
Lola loves her pretend kitchen and she always wants to draw at home. Out and about she's enjoying splashing in puddles and always want to go on the slides in the park.

Gabriel is in " seek and destroy" mode. everything needs to have a lock, because he will empty the pantry onto the floor otherwise... same with my cleaning closet. he's also fond of putting things where they don't belong... cups/ toys in the laundry, garbage and toilet... I could take every toy and put them away and he wouldn't care in the least. he's a very busy boy!

Mine love water, playdoh, sand and making a mess :p
actually I just recently tied my kitchen chairs to the table because it was getting way crazy. While I was getting one from unlocking the front door the other would be up at the kitchen sink tippingv water everywhere then while I was cleaning that up they'd both take the chairs somewhere else. So I took them away. Haha mean mummy! They are okay with it now but the first day they pulled on them so many times yelling at me cos they couldnt move them.

Ashlynn loves puddles when we're out and hates being in her buggy now so it's almost retired! Won't ever sit still, it's a nightmare! Indoors she loves making pretend cups of tea and cake for me and OH. She also has a thing with playing in the dogs water bowl when no one is looking!!! I think it's the water more than anything, she loves splashing around. She's very helpful with wiping up spills and throwing things in the bin as well, and hanging washing up and putting it in/out the tumble dryer. :)

Hannah is all about coloring. The table, furniture, toys, books, etc. Her crayons wind up in "time out" many times each day lately lol.

Hee hee they are all getting into mischief!

Yep Lola loves anything to do with water as well. She still loves swimming and we go most weeks, starting back with Waterbabies soon.

Ha ha Aimee the chair thing is so funny!!

We were baking cakes today and Lola loved it so must do that more often with her.

oh my aimee! the mental image of them p ushing chairs everywhere gave me quite the giggle! you are certainly going to have your hands full for many years with them!

most days, I love the mischief. but lately, the garbage has become a favorite... ick. plus im too sore, too tired and too busy to be pulling him out of it 5 thousand times a day... sigh.

someone sent me something that reminded me that he's not going to be like this forever. he's a baby for a year, a toddler for 2, a child 6, preteen for 3... etc. those years will go by fast, and you will miss these moments.

It's true meghan! It doesn't last long at all. My oldest turned 13 last month and she starts high school this week. I don't know where the years went. Scary thought that when the youngest is at school she could potentially be leaving home or off to a new city for uni.

Yeah these two are so mischievous ya know once they work out how to climb on one another to gain height I am so screwed lol

I'm pretty confident im only having one baby and that will be good because my single pregnancies are usually pretty easy going and I am able to continue with every day life pretty good. I did dream I was having twins again the other night though I am sure that is just me trying to freak myself out.

Ladies I really need your help/advice. Ashlynn's sleep has been getting progressively worse over the last month and now when she wakes up and I go in she pushes me away, won't take her dummy or bottle and when I try leave the room she has a nervous breakdown and screams blue murder. If I try to comfort her she pushes me away and gets really angry. This happens like 4-5 times a night.... I'm totally exhausted and I can't think straight and I don't know what to do.

It's she teething? Ear infection? Head/chest cold?

Would sleeping with you on a floor bed help?

I'm not sure I would have the best advice... I don't have a sleeper here either...

Anti Lola was doing the same last night, took a while before she'd let me if anything with her. I just put her in bed with me as she'll sleep straight through the night then.
It seems to be a stage they are going through.
Lola had a major tantrum today, head banging on the floor included! She didn't want me near her but didn't want me to go anywhere. Just a case of ride it out until they are ready to be comforted.

Nico went through this stage too, thankfully he seems to be over it now and sleeps much better. I done the same as yazzy, he'd fall asleep in his own bed but then when he woke I'd take him in with me and he'd fall back to sleep quite quickly and sleep through.

I'm not sure if it's teething (back teeth) or maybe just a stage they all go through.

When Nico pushed me away I just sat beside him on his bed or on the floor and he settled down. Sometimes he would fall back to sleep, other times he wouldn't, thats when I'd bring him in with us.

I have no advice unfortunately :( Hannah woke up last night and was hard to settle BUT she wanted me to hold her the whole time as opposed to pushing me away. Not easy to hold her for long though with this bump and the baby being breech/engaged in my pelvis lol.

Speaking of - baby's still breech. See my OB tomorrow at 36 weeks where we'll discuss options. After seeing what she has to say, I'm going to call some local chiropractors and acupuncturists to see if anyone can fit me in soon, help me out and won't cost me an arm & a leg. This baby has her butt engaged in my pelvis basically and it's so painful lol. I don't think I'm going to make it to a c-section at 39 weeks (that's usually when they schedule them for here) and I'm not really excited about the thought of going into labor on my own and needing an emergency c-section. I'm sure we'll discuss an ECV to manually turn her but with my anterior placenta & her being in my pelvis, it's not likely to work so I don't know if it would be worth the pain and stress to me or her lol.

Aimee - I hope I didn't miss an update but how's things going with you?

Meghan - What about your pregnancy? How ya holding up?

Meh. I'm uncomfortable all the time too. 27 weeks, and as big as I was at 35/36 weeks with Gabriel. I've not been able to get comfy in bed, and have had strained intercostal muscles twice now, making taking a breathe flipping painful!

Would a beech birth be an option for you?

Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure it'll come up at my appointment tomorrow but I don't know if she's frank breech or footling or what. I think she's a frank breech given her butt seems nice and wedged in my pelvis all the time but wasn't confirmed or anything. I don't know if I'd be up for a breech delivery. I know frank breech is the best for a vaginal delivery but the thought of it terrifies me lol.

Amanda - I hope she turns! There's still time! My son was the same till the night before we were going to be sent to try manually turn him at 37 weeks so 36+6 he turned I think....I felt the entire thing!
She sounds really comfy though so I do hope she turns! The head in the ribs was the worst!! Do your ribs feel bruised? I remember feeling really bruised.

everything is okay with me. Im around 7 weeks now havnt seen a doc or midwife yet so havnt had a scan either. Too scared to lol
im really sick but vit b6and ginger plus sea bands are helping. Mums staying next week for 3 weeks, dont want her guessing so this shall be fun!

Antionette - im so sorry ashlynns sleep hasnt been too great. Sleep dep is an awful feeling I have no suggestions either except taking her to bed with you! I always did what I could to keep myself sane and that usually meant co sleeping safely.
I hope she starts sleeping again soon.

Meghan - sorry to hear your uncomfy too! Have a great birthday!

My birthday is almost over im so pissed I flooded our laundry today.....of all days I couldnt believe it. So my afternoon was spent mopping the water up and drying the carpet grrr while trying to keep the twins out of it.
