Baking soda gender test?

I did it, it fizzed and I promptly burst into tears (I already have 2 boys). Totally blaming the hormones!

We are staying Team Yellow this time - found out with my son and I loved knowing but this time we are going to have a surprise! Might still try this out for fun though hahah!

Does it not depend on what you've had to drink that day though? Surely if you have had lots of orange juice that will make your urine really acidic??

We did ours in the early evening. Would probably be better with FMU before she gets up and has her orange juice.

Might have to try this myself in the morning.......i think its a boy but a tiny part wants to say girl.......i guess ill try it out and see what happens and see if its right in 6 weeks!!!!

i tried it again because the first time i wasn't sure it kinda looked like beer just a white film on top but no fizz, and last night all i could see were pieces of baking soda floating but no fizz, so i'm going to guess girl?

I've booked my gender scan (privately) for 7th Sept and will defo be back on this thread to update. I posted earlier on this board and it said girl for me, as does the ring test but the chinese predictor comes up girl and boy depending on which one I use, so we will see

i did it today and it fizzed and had foam at the top so im guessing boy, ring test said boy as well and chinese gender said boy as well.......so if it turns out to be a girl in 6 weeks id be surprised.

Ah! Yes you'll have to let us know at gender scan! We arent going to find out this time altho have done this test lol! Didn't really do much. I swirled it around and then it sort of had a fine white layer on top??! My husband thinks I was mad!!

When you did the ring test, did you take circles to mean a girl, as I've seen both ways? Thanks x

yep the ring circled over and tummy and me + dog lol, and swung too & fro for my husband and son x

This maybe a stupid question but is baking soda the same as bicarbonate of soda? That's all I have in the cupboard!!

thats wat i did and all it did was went all white on top and i put my ear to it and i cud hear a very light fizzing sound does that indicate boy or hav i done it wong lol.

Thats exactly what I did and nothing happened at all. It just sat at the bottom, no foam or fizzing at all

I used the needle tes and baking soda test AND I have a strong feeling its a girl. Both tests came back girl
