basically the ring test except its with a needle, you thread the needle through a string and hold it over your belly really still. If it goes around its a girl if it goes back and forth its a boy My amilys used it for ages, and for each of my gma/moms pregnancys it was right

ha cool i did the ring test twice and i used a strand of my hair and both times the ring swang back and fourth. i used barcarb soda instead of baking soda and wen i added the pee pee it just made all the powder go to the top and if i put my ear near i cud hear a quiet fizzing. not to sure if that counts tho as i didnt use baking soda

Just so you know.....I did this early on(sometime in first trimester, but don't remember what week) and I did it twice, both times it fizzed right up and I'm having a boy so it was right for me xx

Just wanted to update you on my results...I got girl for my first results, boy for the second & girl for the third. All with the same baking soda. We just found out its a boy

Just did the baking soda test- boy. The ring test says boy & my gut feeling has said boy from the start. We'll be team yellow so I guess I'll find out mid-April of the tests (and my gut!) were right

when do you find out what your having future?

I find out on the 4th october. so ive done the ring swing test the needle test and the baking soda test and there all saying boy. OH swears he c boy bits at my 15 wk scan but im adamant its a girl. really hoping for a boy so our son has a little brother, but if its a girl ill still b happy just as long as the baby is healthy.

I didn't read every post, so forgive me if someone else has brought this up.

I've done this several times, at least 6 times and only one time did I have no fizzle, so every time but once it fizzled like mad.

My confusion is that vinegar is an acid yes? If you add it to baking soda it fizzles? So if your urine is acidic (which is often favorable of having a GIRL), aka your PH is LOW, then if you add it to baking soda it is going to fizzle?!

If your urine is more alkaline, which is favorable of a BOY, and you add it to baking soda it would not fizzle, or fizzle a heck of a lot less...

I think this baking soda deal is pretty flawed and I really don't believe it's accuracy LOL.

My urine was 5.0 at 5 weeks pregnant, and my PH has remained low since then. So obviously adding my pee to baking soda it's going to fizzle lol.

lol i'm not sure how it works, every wise tale you look up is different. some ring test say back and forth for girl/circle for boy and vise versa. Same with chinese calendar it changes every different one you look at!

But its all for fun, and its fun to guess the gender of our baby's. I've taken each test with a pinch of salt, but they have all been accurate for me as I'm having a girl but wrong for others. We all know its 50/50 still but it just feels so good to pee on something again

You're telling me that every woman who is 42, and conceived in August will have a Boy?!

i dont either hun it said last time me and my friend was havibg girls and we had boys and my other friend it said boy and she had a girl lol
