My best friend turns 21 today! She's the youngest of all my friends, and I'm not going to let being pregnant stop me from going to the bar to buy her shots/drinks. My fiancé will be coming and a lot of my other great friends. I know I'm pregnant, so do they, but I don't look too pregnant. Some people just think I'm fat. I'm worried about walking into the bar, having to show my ID, and then ordering a coke while everyone else gets drunk. Is it wrong for me to be worried? I'm also worried about the stares I'll get, as we will be in a big college town.

Haha me and my sil were at the casino all night on my dh birthday she was 8 months pregnant I was 3 months !!! Didnt stop her from getting drinks for the boys at the bar despite the looks as she was 8 months!!!! Not like we were drinking it was hilarious. :) have fun!!! Itll be a good story later !

I wouldn't worry. I went out with some friends when I thought I was pregnant (found out I was the next day) I didn't drink to be safe and I used driving as an excuse. At least everyone knows why you're not drinking. I find it funny watching everyone around me get drunk and making idiots of themselves haha ;) just enjoy your night out.

I wouldn't worry, at 23 weeks will people hardly notice you are pregnant unless they take a good look! People would probably be too busy to stare, if they do, who cares? I wouldn't let being pregnant stop me from celebrating a friend's birthday!

My SIL and I were in the pub on Sunday night with my whole family... we were doing the quiz... Our team name was "Babies on Board" and the whole family were battered apart from us (lucky drivers)... As long as you're not slinging back shots or holding a pint I wouldn't have thought people would bat an eyelid!!!

My Muslim friends came out with me until ridiculous o clock in my twenties - I always admired their staying power and dreaded being told what an idiot I had been :) xx

I went out dancing a few times when I was pregnant with DD.. once I was very noticeably pregnant. I got some stares, but it's not as if I had a drink in hand. They just weren't used to pregnant women being out. I wasn't going to let it stop me, though. Dh and I LOVE to dance.

Who cares what other people think? It's not like you're drinking lol. I say go! We still need to get out every once and a while, and if it's a celebration for your friend why not!

I went on a night out with my OH and our friends at 16 weeks, granted staying out till half 3 in the morning was exhausting but it was fun :)
I was a bit worried about being pushed and such but everything was good:flower:

I went out with friends a few times while pregnant. Who cares about stares. it isn't like you are drinking. Lol.

I also bought an eighteen pack when I was like nine months pregnant. I got stares, but again, didn't care. It wasn't for me so whatevs!

I guess I'll just feel weird as I'm the one who use to always be drinking! Lol. I just feel awkward going up to the bar and ordering a soda, but then again, some people don't even drink, so I doubt I'll be the first one!

I've been to the pub a couple of times drinking pepsi while everyone else was having alcohol, didn't bother me at all. Have fun!

I was a student when pregnant with my daughter In the middle of a city. I went on a fair few nights out, avoided the clubs as I got bigger but never skipped the bars until I was 8 months pregnant. The bar staff struggled to get I didn't want vodka with my soda and lime ha ha xxxx

I have been on a few nights out whilst pregnant and been fine apart from my bday night out, my SIL's bf got horrendously drunk and puked all over my car :(

enjoy going out without being pressured to having a drink! :) enjoy your friends birthday and dont let anyone else make you feel otherwise!

Its always great fun watching other ppl get drunk and be silly lol

You could always wear a loose top to avoid any possible stares too.

I have to go out to a bachelorette party that I'm throwing on Friday night (I'm the MOH). I can't even have my husband with me and will be the only one not drinking. I'm super anxious I'll be super out of place!

Yeah I wasn't so much worried what others thought, just that I would feel out of place. I had some fun, it wasn't too great, but I managed
