Beach Bump Graduates!

Hann, oh no about Annabelle climbing out her cot! Like Simmy said, not great timing but you wont be getting a lot of sleep anyway so it might work better.
Boo to your MIL. She strikes again! She never seems to take a hint does she?
i do think Lucas looks quite like Harrison although i think hes much more Alan , where as Harrison is a bit more me.

Simmy, hope you are feeling more positive about the appointment now. I dont think my reasons were any more compelling than yours actually, Lucas was breech but turned in time, however his positon was similar to H in that he was never gonna birth by normal labour at that point in time if id have gone for an induction instead. I agree in that you know your body best.

So Alan is on nights at work tonight, cant remember when he last did a night shift, hes just left. We had a nice day, this moring at Jimmys farm ,which is the Jimmy from the telly, his farm is just up the road but we just bought an annual pass via groupon for £35 for all of us, so gives us somewhere else to go as and when we feel like it.
I went for a relaxing bath just before Alan went to work however ot wasnt very relaxing as H managed to bash himself twice in ten mins, the 1st time splitting his lip and second hitting his head on the table, (both times chasing the dog) so i gave up and got out due to his crying it wasnt that relaxing! Hes fine though.
Forgot to say ,we introduced the potty the other day, H is perfectly clued up as to what to do hes just refusing at the mo and weed once in the kitchen and twice in the playroom, when i asked him to use the potty he just says "noooo lol
Alan has taught him the Leyton Orient football chants, hes hillarious, his speech is amazing and so clear. He is the funniest person i know!

Hann -- Funny timing - we just had to convert Maisie's crib to a toddler bed. She's acting out like crazy and I just can't cosleep with her anymore because she's kicking me in the head and being a total brat totally intentionally. And she will seriously hurt herself in her crib climbing out and chewing it and purposely sticking her legs in the bars and getting stuck. Anyway, it's been a much easier transition than I ever anticipated. Last night she went to sleep in it before 10pm (first time in MONTHS she's been to bed that early) with minimal screaming/crying. She always gets out of it at some point overnight (7-8am a few times and last night I guess I accidentally woke her up when I went to bed around 2am) and comes to our bed to snuggle but has been really well behaved then so I don't mind.

Simmy -- I hope everything gets sorted with delivery or you. But, I do have a friend who just had a successful VBAC after an absolutely horrific failed induction with her first (who is the same age as ours). I know it's different because she chose that and you didn't, but I guess I'm just hoping to reassure you that it can be very different the 2nd time. :hugs:

Melissa -- Good luck with the potty!! Maisie totally knows what to do but won't. She'll sit on it and announce that she's pooping (and she is)... but won't tell me beforehand so I can pull down her pants! :dohh::haha:

Caz -- Mmmm, have fun with wine!

So I know not all of you are into this, but I'm really proud of exclusively breastfeeding Violet. I have IGT/breast hypoplasia and have put so much effort into it. I never expected to be physically able to do it. It honestly feels like someone who has been told they'll probably never be able to walk running a marathon. Or someone who has been told they don't have much chance of naturally conceiving a child getting pregnant without medical help. She was up a pound from birth weight on Monday and today she's 4oz more than that so I'm thinking we're actually going to be able to keep it up with no supplementing! :happydance:

Han - boo to your MIL. I hope it's ok, what did Greg say? Wow, I know they end up climbing eventually! I hope it went ok with her with the side of the bed...... hope she is ok! I'm dreading that moment.

Mel - how are you doing with Alan doing on nights? Hope its ok and the boys are being good.

Julie - thats amazing that you are EBF - and after not thinking you could! Hope Violet is doing well.

Simmy - I hope you're feeling better too about the appointment.

So we had a wonderful evening last night. Ajay went down well at our friends house and the whole gang were over for wine tasting. Went to bed at 1 am and up at 6.30! Off to a wedding tonight xxxx

Lol Caz i cannot keep up with your social life! You must be tired after not much sleep and then off to a wedding tonight, crikey! Hope you have fun though, I take it the PILs are babysitting?

Julie I think you're doing amazingly for EBF, it's hard enough even without your physical issues so the fact that you're managing and she's gaining weight is brilliant, you should def be proud of yourself  So funny about maisie on the potty, it's clever that she does her poop on it though!

Hann how did annabelle's night without her cot bars go? Hope it wasn't too bad... And hope you and baby henry are getting on ok - are you feeling ok after the birth, not too sore i hope? And is he still a little milk guzzler?

Mel how did your night without Alan go? Must have been hard for Alan to go back to night shifts after a while too, i'm sure he'd rather have been at home with you. Oh I went to Jimmy's farm once years ago when we were near the area for a wedding - it's lovely there!

AFM have had a lovely day with Paul and Leo - paul's back for about 48 hours and then he flies off again tomorrow afternoon, and on my birthday too :( But I guess at least he's here for a bit of it. He's been a bit grumpy this evening because he's stressed about his trip, and he's coming down with a cold (sorry man flu!), and he's having to spend his precious 48 hours here moving all the furniture back after the work! We're still staying at my parents as the paint fumes are quite strong and our bed's not reassembled yet but paul's back at our house now trying to pack his suitcase. Bless him i do feel sorry for him, he has a lot to do.

Will catch up properly soon!
Just wanted to quickly wish you a happy birthday Simmy! I hope you have a good day today, that sucks that Paul is away again, I hope you have some nice time together before he leaves xx

So quiet on here! Happy birthday Simmy xxxx

Wedding last night was amazing - lots of wine dancing and laughs. Felt ok today but defo early night for us! Busy week ahead as I'm working every day and away Wednesday night. Need a blooming rest!!!!

Still catching up, but Happy Birthday Simmy!

LS, that's great that breastfeeding is going well for you this time! I'm in the process of doing the opposite right now and weaning Katie - which may be the hardest part of breastfeeding as she does not want to let it go!

Anyone else planning their toddler's birthday parties awhile? We're planning a Minnie Mouse one, and at the end we're going to do a gender reveal - so two parties in one! I spent a few hours since last night writing notes, taking pictures and nailing down everything I need so I can start making things and buying. I'm excited!

Wow SB you're so organised! We haven't really thought about the party yet but we have a date in the diary for family. Last year we did a big event and Ajay was scared of the number of people there so this year we're going to do smaller parties with friends, family etc.

Han - how are you getting on? x

Sorry not been on much, just adjusting to the two of them, trying to give Annabelle lots of attention which is hard when Henry is permanently attached to my boob!!
Unfortunately woke up with mastitis so on anti biotics. It's pretty painful but holding my breath and feeding through the pain. Luckily I caught it early so I think by tomorrow it would have been awful but hopefully the anti biotics will work quickly!
Sorry for the one sided post, will catch up properly tomorrow :)

LOL, it's mostly from worry that the whole event will fall flat if I don't start now. Last year I started in April, and had less to do! Last night I began on a really long string of Minnie Mouse heads that will go around the room. I'm sure that alone will take forever to complete! I'm starting with preparing the labor heavy free stuff. :haha:

My problem is, I have NO idea about the date, as I don't know yet when our ultrasound will be. I'm only 18 weeks on Katie's birthday, so I'm sure we'll have to push the party until later in July...but I don't know when I'll know. Hopefully they'll give me enough notice and it'll be mid July at latest! They made me wait until 23 weeks for Katie.

Manic here!

Simmy soundsl like you had a lovely birthday, love that your friends threw you a suprise baby shower, so lovley!

SB, Re birthday party, we arent doing the big party thing this year, Harrisons party is on a monday so we are just doing a small tea party type thing and play date for his/my friends with children, my parents have bought him a bouncy castle so it will be a afternoon for them all to play in the garden. We are going away a couple of weeks before to a theme park and thomas land so thats part of his birthday too. He still doesnt have a clue really this year, will be a bit different next year when he has friends from playschool etc.

Caz, eeewww dont like the sound of your week, dont work too hard!

Hann, glad you are getting to grips with everythings, its a lot more time consuming with two isnt it! lol x

AFM ,Busy day, i had my chiropractor, then me and Lucas had our 8 week check closely followed by his jabs, hes been really unhappy and like a screaming banchee since having them so i think we may be in for a long night! We then popped to a friends for a cuppa, had lunch, I then went to Asda, then had tea and went for a run whilst Alan bathed the boys. Im shattered now, the days just are so busy these days!
H has swimming tomorrow morning, not sure what else we have planned yet but am sure there will be something! x

Wow Mel your days sound busy as ever, well done for getting out for a run amidst all that. I think your plans for harrison's birthday sound perfect, this is the last year we can probably get away with them not really understanding lol.

Hann, ouch sorry to hear about the mastitis but sounds like you may have nipped it in the bud, really hope it recovers soon and you can feed painlessly.

Caz glad you had fun at the wedding! Def sounds like you need a break! Hope things still going ok chez the inlaws...

We're not really planning much for Leo's birthday, it's on a saturday so probably just have some cake at home with grandparents and maybe a few of his friends/cousins.

Thanks for your birthday wishes, I was a little underwhelmed by my bday initially as Paul was going away and had come down with this horrible cold, but anyway I turned up at my friend's house to pick her up to take her to the restaurant we'd agreed to go to, and all the NCT girls were in her house and had thrown me a big surprise birthday baby shower, they had banners, games, presents, and my friend had cooked dinner. I've never had a surprise party before but I was really touched at all the effort they'd gone to, and it made the birthday so so special. :)

That sounds so nice Simmy! It's lovely when it's unexpected and people really put thought in!

Mel - that is a busy day. We try and keep all of Annabelles activities going too otherwise she gets bored just being at home watching me feed Henry. She's been pretty good but she wants lots of cuddles still. Plus she's up a lot at night. Two nights ago she was up 9 times, tonight 6 times and its only 2.45!

Currently feeding on my painful boob and my goodness it kills. It's like being stabbed in the boob. I hope it's calmed down a lot by the morning, have done 2 doses of antibiotic now.
Trying to get Henry to sleep in the Moses basket tonight rather than in with me. Gregs about as helpful as a bag of potatoes with it though, everytime he cries especially at night he just tells me he's hungry and passes him to me! Even if I've literally just finished feeding him. The joys of BF means I basically do it all alone!
Anyway better go, feeding has happened so attempting to put him in.
Study released today about the dangers of bed sharing so that's got me freaked out even more! As if I didn't have enough to worry about ;)

Wow 9 times Hann, thats not what you need! I hope Greg is helping with Annabelle then, obviously its difficult as he cant help you feed Henry.
Hope the pain goes away for you soon, that sounds unbearable, well done you for feeding through it. How did the moses basket go?

Simmy, I agree this is the last year we will be able to get away with a small birthday celebration!
Harrison is totally obsessed with Mickey mouse clubhouse at the mo, hes so cute, except having to watch Mickey so much and sing and dance to the songs is actually driving me insane. I am glad hes into Disney though, hopefully it will stay and allow us to indulge in lots of Florida holidays lol. We are hoping to go to Disney Paris next year, not a patch on Florida I know, but easier to take them there at this age. We are going to Florida in 2016 when Alan retires.
Harrison has started putting words together, hes doing so well and his speech is so clear. He can too now count to 10 and recite part of the alphabet. Sorry mummy bragging moment but im so proud of him!

Swimming today, then maybe into town. Got my stepdads birthday and a best friends little girls birthday too so need some inspiration. Im really struggling with her, shes gonna be 8 but growing up so fast!

Han - how did it go putting Henry in the moses basket? Hope the pain has eased up, sounds awful - is it your milk coming through? And echo what Mel said, I hope Greg is helping with Annabelle too. Is she getting better with him now?

Mel - how are you coping with 2 babies? Hope they are both ok and that H is still being a good older brother.

Simmy - your surprise party sounds lovely, how sweet of your friends!

So mad week starts now - college tonight, then conference tomorrow and Thursday , then college Thursday night. In London Friday with work then drinks with a friend and then I'm doing NBOTHING over the weekend now!!!!! x

Hi everyone,

Hann - how is the mastitis now? Hope the antibiotics are starting to work? It sucks that greg can't help more, if you've just fed him he could at least offer to burp him! You must be knackered especially with Annabelle waking up so much... I hope greg is helping wtih that??

Caz you must be exhausted too, bet you're looking forward to a quiet weekend!

Mel so cute that harrison is into mickey mouse - i've tried to get leo involved but there is no getting in the way of his peppa pig obsession! Lovely about H's speech coming along too. I am so amazed how much they pick up now, they are like little sponges aren't they?! bless them.

Not much going on here! Been babysitting the twins with my mum so pretty exhausted. And now i'm sitting down to do some work as I haven't done any yet this week :dohh:

If anyone is still looking for a playhouse, asda have a massively reduced little tikes one which I've just ordered - £85 down from £180!!

Katie is watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now. She's obsessed with Minnie and MIckey, she has been ever since we went on the Disney Cruise. I would LOVE to make it down to Disney World with her one day, but I don't think that'll be for a long time. I'm constantly lusting after taking a vacation there, I went all the time as a kid and it was the best. Right now, we just have to settle for a Minnie Mouse birthday party and hoping that maybe in the next two years, we can afford a cruise.

What awful news from Woolich and cant believe the footage that ITV showed, it made me physically sick, that poor man and his family!

In other news hope everyone is ok today.

SB, love the party planning ideas from you, you are so creative!

Caz, hope work isnt too bad this week,

Hann, hows it going, is the mastitus getting better?

AFM, im very excited today! From Sept Im going to be a A STUDENT! Im going to part time college to study sports massage and at the end will be a fully qualifed sports massage therepist! its something ive been looking at for a while but have finally found a course i can do with a proper qualification that will enable me to get employment or go self imployed. It will take 9 months and im going to be doing 2 days a month at college, the rest is home study and lots of practice. The college is in Norwich so on days Alan is working my parents can look after the boys, its perfect only being 2 days a month though. SO EXCITING!!!!!!

Oh Simmy thanks for the playhouse tip, im now trying to decide between that one and the argos one.
