Beach Bump Graduates!

Oh and thanks for your lovely comments me my fitness etc, its actually my bit of "me" time and im quite enjoying it. I still have a long way to go though, that may indicate to you how much weight i put on with Lucas!

Quick post to say big good luck for tomorrow Simmy!! Keep us posted!

And Mel - yes my parents are the same about H, they clearly find the whole newborn thing a bit tiresome as he can cry and not say why and he's boring compared to Annabelle. My mum told me that H is too serious looking - he smiles loads and makes lovely cooing noises! And when he cries she tells him to shut up! He's a 6 week old baby ffs. I was going to go back to theirs next week when gregs away for 3 nights but I think I'm going to stay here after all as although it will be hard work at least I'll not feel like H is an inconvenience to them! He's gorgeous too which is the annoying thing that they don't see that, he's sooo much more chilled that Annabelle ever was!

Thanks all... going off to bed soon, i think i've just about managed to get everything done including a big pile of filing i've been meaning to do for months! Done about 7 loads of laundry today too... phew! It's so weird to have a booked section, totally takes all element of surprise out of childbirth lol. Will keep you posted tomorrow - i imagine there'll be a lot of waiting around. I'm feeling nervous about the surgery, i guess when it's planned you keep thinking about all the things that can go wrong, whereas in an emergency c section you dont have time to worry!

Hann/Mel i can't believe the grandparents' attitude to the newborns, it's really odd isn't it?? Especially as lucas and henry are so gorgeous and chilled! Maybe they're just used to annabelle/harrison. I remember my NCt friend saying the same thing about her MIL and her newborn (compared with the toddler). I wonder how my mum and mil will react...

Maria, i know what you mean about running ragged - these terrible almost-two year olds have soooo much energy! We took Leo to my mum and dad's last night and he was literally running around in their garden for about 2 hours nonstop - he didn't get to bed til about 9.30pm as he was having so much fun! (and slept amazingly well yay).

SB - aah gorgeous dress for katie. I know it seems like ages away but the gender day will be here soon, not long to go at all!

Caz - thanks for your message :)

x

Simmy u will love ur planned section. So relaxed! Good luck for today cant wait to hear the news! X x

Good luck today Simmy!! <3

Mel and Hann- my parents are the same- they'll have Holly any time I ask (which is pretty much never), but if I need them to have Naomi (like if I have the dentist or something) then they really don't like to have her. I think it's because Naomi tires them out so much! I get what you mean about them being treated fairly, I got quite upset with my mum a few months ago as she told me she didn't want to look after Naomi as "she's such a handful"! I think they just find Holly easier as she doesn't need as much attention. It will get better as they get older I guess.

Lovely dress SB! Katie's going to look so cute in it!! :D

Simmy - congrats for yesterday! So happy for you - hope you ge home today or tomorrow with your larger family! xxx

All ok here - Neel and I had a bi of a tiff last night as he is just racing on with things and never thinks about ajay. But he does recognise it, just doesn't do anything about stopping it! 3 weeks and counting until moving back in we hope! x

Hi girls thanks for your well wishes! Just got home from hospital a couple of hours ago, it's soooo good to be home and away from a noisy ward! Must admit the recovery is harder this time, I'm in a lot of pain. Breastfeeding going really badly which I'm gutted about. Sophia just cannot latch well and my nipples are in bloody and cracked agony. I've had to bottle feed for the moment but I'm hoping to express tonight and hopefully get it going again. Milk not in yet so Sophia is just not satisfied - it's a catch 22!

Aside from that though I'm very happy. Sophia is a gorgeous little girl, I'm so in love with her. Leo has been the best big bro, he is so fascinated with her and keeps giving her his toys. Then after a while he gets bored and moves on to something else - which is good I suppose!

Yay welcome home Simmy! Sophia looks gorgeous in the photos, you've done well.
Bf was tougher for me this time too although perhaps it wasn't and I just misremembered what it was like! Get loads of lansinoh on them, and shields if you need them. If you need any help give me a shout.

Sooo hot here today and had two very hot and bothered children! Annabelle was fine this morning but then didn't nap so was over tired this afternoon. I also think she has hay fever, she was so snotty outside. Henry has barely slept all afternoon and has heat rash. I've just tried to do the last feed of the day and he's fallen asleep instead. He's been a super sleeper the past three nights - thurs 10 hours straight, fri 11 hours and last night 9 hours. I'd love that to continue but I fear it's just a growth spurt and we'll be back to night wakings tonight ;)
Busy week seeing people which will be fun, gregs away on the stag thurs - sun so I'll really be up against it then!!

Just chose Annabelles birthday present from my sister - an 8ft trampoline for the garden, excited!! Plus I can use it as I'm under the max weight yay!

Welcome home Simmy! What a gorgeous little girl you have produced! She looks really long in your photos? So cute about Leo, Harrison was like that and has continued to be good so hopefully the same will happen for you. Sorry to hear about the BF not going great, hope it inproves for you but dont beat yourself up. xx

Hann, its been mega hot here today too, we have basically stayed at home today, Harrison has been running round the garden naked and in his paddling pool lol hes had so much fun ,we didnt get much nap out of him either and hes waking really early, like 530am at the mo which isnt fun!

Lucas is still doing great, he had a hip scan at the hospital today, all is well and his hips are fine so thats a relief. Hes still sleeping fantastic and is so chilled its unreal.
We have had a nice weekend, yesterday went to a food and drink festival local to us, we love it and go every year. As i said today been at home and ive been doing a bit of study. Chores tomorrow and food shopping and we are hopefully buying a new laptop too, ours is pretty much dead now and i need something for my college work etc. We cant really afford it but never mind.
Also busy planning Hs birthday cake and how im going to do it. Its my biggest cake project yet and im quite excited to do it!

Simmy - wlel done you! Hope Sophia starts latching soon but don't worry about the BF'ing - you sound like you've had an ordeal with the c-section though - is it meant to be worse the 2nd time around? So glad that little Leo is being an amazing older bro as well.

Mel - we were the same this afternoon, Ajay was naked in the garden for hours which was sweet, running in and out of the paddling pool and things. What's the cake idea?

Han - wow, Henry's sleep is awesome - has Annabelle been waking or have you managed to sleep roight though? You are all such good examples for having another child!

All good here - loads of gardening done at home this weekend. It is coming together at home but I can't wait to move back! Ajay is being a good boy bless him too so I can't complain! x

Simmy - I said it on facebook, but again, big congrats on Sophia! She's beautiful! I'm glad everything went well. Hang in there with breastfeeding, the first week is really rough but it gets better. With Katie, I had really bad cracked and bloody nipples. I'd keep them clean, but lots of lasinoh on them, and nurse through the pain until it stopped. Don't worry about Sophie not being satisfied, babies only need two teaspoons worth of colostrum for the first few days, so I'm sure she's a happy girl!

Mel - I want to hear about your cake plans!!

AFM, I'm only 13 days away now from finding out if we're having a Cece or a Will. I can't wait to know the gender and get all the girl or boy clothing totes out to start washing and preparing the nursery. Katie is completely moved out of the nursery now, all of her stuff is in her new princess room. I'm getting so excited now, I can't wait for the next two weeks to go by! Just 14 days until Katie's party and baby gender reveal, but only TWO days until her birthday!

Sophia is beautiful Simmy!! I hope you're feeling ok after your c-section and getting lots of rest (well, as much as you can with a newborn!). I hope the feeding improves for you, it sounds very painful, I second what everyone else has said about not beating yourself up, SB and Hann had some good advice there.

Mel I can't wait to see the cake!!! You're so clever, I'd be rubbish at doing a big cake like that!

I'm just grabbing a 5 minute break while I can, I was out shopping with my mum this morning then remembered Naomi has physio this afternoon! Thankfully I got back in plenty of time :)

Hope the physio is okay Maria. I have days like that when I forget I have appointments or forget I've arranged to see friends!

Henry has a sniffley nose which is upsetting him as he can't breath very easily. He sounds like a little piglet! Still slept well last night though :)

Does anyone shop in asda and are going this week? They have a disney cars cake on their website, one at £12 and one at £20ish, but they don't say how many people they feed. If any of you know or see it can you let me know please? I won't have time to make Annabelle a birthday cake as we get back from holiday the afternoon before her party so got to buy one!

Oh Hann I went today, but I do go a couple of times a week so il let you know. Will catch up properly later everyone xx

If you can Mel I'd much appreciate it. Will be back on later, literally having the afternoon from hell.

Mel - this is the cake:

Please excuse my typing fails lol!

How was everyone's weekend? We stayed at my parents house this weekend which was nice, we all went to fishers farm yesterday too which was fun. W were very lucky with the weather!

Did you get the cake Hann?

Sound nice Maria!

Good weekend here, today we went to a birthday party celebrating my friends little girls 2nd birthday and little boys 1st birthday, it was lovely, Harrison had a fab time playing and was exausted when we got home.
We are going up to Drayton manor this week, a themepark where Thomasland is, and we are staying in the park hotel so looking forward to that and hope Harrison loves it, im sure he will.
Got my 5k run in 2 weeks, went for a run this moring, was so hot but im pleased with my progress!

That sounds really good! I'm dying to go to Drayton manor! It looks really fun!

Martyn's on standby for the next two weeks, he's out now and has been for a few hours, he was home most of the day though so it's not too bad.

I'm gutted that i didn't take my phone charger to my parents house- my phone died and I didn't get any pics of fishers farm! I know we go a lot but it was my parents first time there and Martyn's parents went there too so I would have got some nice ones! My parents bought the girls a new pool for the garden so they've had a nice day splashing about and we had a BBQ. My mum has given up working now so we've been seeing a bit more of her, we seem to be getting on quite well these days which is nice.

I feel like I'm constantly at Holly's school lately! I guess it's just that time of year for fetes etc, plus we have loads of meetings, they have too many children in Holly's year and the year above so next year (year 1), Holly is being put (with 10 other children from her year) into a class with the year above her. Her headmaster wrote to us and said she is about a year ahead of her age group so we're really proud of her, although nervous about her changing classes, although I'm sure she will be fine, she is with her best friend (they've been inseparable since nursery) so that's good. We have another thing to go to this week, it's really nice seeing her at school, but very stressful trying to watch Naomi at the same time!
