Beach Bump Graduates!

Oh Hann how's it going now is he still crying? Ohh bless him he sounds colicky. It is so so hard when they cry and cry. Could try rocking him in the buggy, massaging his legs/tummy in case it's belly ache?

Not your fault so don't think you're a failure!! Sometimes they just cry, it's nothing you've done honey. :hugs:

Fi - good to hear from you, sorry about the nasty bugs. Seems from fb like you're doing a great job.

Mel good luck with the bed tomorrow! Let us know how it goes. Well jel of Harry potter studios, I've been really wanting to go. Did the kiddies behave? Is there anything for Harrison's age to do there?

I'm still alive but it was a rough evening and night! I got him to sleep at 10 in the end by feeding again and he fell asleep on me. Also used a white noise app. Then he only slept until 2.45 which is rubbish for him. Got him back to sleep within 30 mins though which was a record but then at 4 Annabelle woke up and kept crying until 4.45, kept going in and cuddling but she thought it was morning. Then Henry woke at 5 for a feed and then Annabelle woke at 6.15. So I've basically been awake since 2.45. I'm glad it's the weekend although I won't get anymore rest I doubt!

Sounds tough. Make sure Greg gives you a break this weekend.

We had a hard night too. He just yells for me saying he wants his truck, his choo choo train, his pirate ship, various other toys, and repeats himself until I go in and give them to him. Clearly I should just ignore him but it's easier said than done! It's getting ridiculous, he's sleeping with a foot-long pirate ship! And then crying when he hits his head on it :dohh: Problem is I don't have the energy/strength to fight him right now...

Lol Simmy! Annabelle used to go to bed with just flipsy - her jelly cat rabbit but now she also has to have car (soft toy of lightening McQueen) and doggy (jellycat dog), they all must be there!! No pirate ships yet though'
More projectile vomiting on me today lovely! Out sofa now smells of baby sick.
Currently got Henry feeding while I have a glass of wine. Oh and I needn't have been worried about keeping weight on, I'm losing pounds a week from running around after them and not getting a chance to eat. I'm actually starting to feel faint and sick from lack of food and constantly on the go. It's a bit worrying!
Tomorrow gregs friend is coming to meet Henry then I'm walking with Henry to buy cards as got a christening on sun where I'm godmother, and its our 3 year anniversary on thurs so need a card. Looking forward to the walk and an escape though!!

Oh man i typed out a long post last night, only just realised its not gone on here!

Hann, hope you had a better night last night, sounds like you have a tough couple of weeks coming up with Greg away for some of it, im sure it will get easier for you and both Annabelle and Henry settle down soon.

Simmy, cant believe you are 39 weeks! Wow am going to be looking out for any news anytime now! So exciting! Hope you have managed to get some rest today

Julie, sounds like you are getting on fine with the two of them! Glad your internet is all sorted now, when do you start studying?

So AFM, we have just been really busy doing bits and bobs over last few days and am fitting in study and exercise too so havent had a lot of time to post. Harry Potter studios was fab, Simmy, re things for children, i would leave them at home(not alone obviously) lol but if you go you want to be able to listen and look at things properly and our toddlers would just be bored. Its brilliant though if you like the films, so surreal!
Still issues with mum, she has got a few deep rooted issues from the past and ive been her battering ram if you like which is unfair on me and i cant take anymore. They are coming over tomorrow evening for a talk and its gonna be hard and probably upsetting, but got to be done, i cant keep doing this with her. Will let you know how we go.
Anyhow, so today, ive been studying and doing housework and made a lovely curry we had for our tea. Alan is back to work tomorrow unfortunatly, we probably wont do a lot, depends on the weather.
Oh and re Harrison in his toddler bed, really good so far, he didnt get up all night till 615am this morning but hes been waking early lately anyway so thats no earlier than normal, he had his nap in it today, only got up once before falling asleep and hes just gone to bed now with no apparent problems, so so far a success! Fingers crossed it lasts!
As for Lucas, we call him lazybones, hes always the last to get up in the mornings, we usually have to wake him if we want to go out lol. Tonight is the earliest hes been to bed, he went same time as Harrison, hopefully that will ajust his mornig a bit. I cant complain though so far hes a dream!

Hi girls,

Mel - Lucas sounds like a dream, bless him! I hope it's continuing. I only hope I'd be so lucky with our second - as and when he/she comes along!

We have had a good weekend. At my parents yesterday and this morning which was nice as me and ajay left Neel at home and we chillded out there. Neel got some work done which was on his mind so that was ok. Sytill at the in-laws :( starting to get to me now we're 7 weeks in! Got another 3-4 weeks they say so I can't wait to get home. Neel's parents are lovely and we are getting on well but can't wait for my space :) back to work tomorrow, just want to sleep! x

How is everyone? x

Agree Mel Lucas sounds like a dream child! Hope it lasts:) How did the second night in harrison's bed go? Harry potter studios sounds fab, i really must arrange a visit. Glad things are going well with studying and exercise, so impressed with your weight loss so far! Hope you managed to patch things up with your mum - how did the chat go?

Caz, you've done sooo well to stay at your inlaws for so long, I would go nuts living with my own parents for that long and definitely at my inlaws so i'm not in the least surprised you're wishing to be back home. Glad you had a break from it all at your parents' - and that neel got some work done, hopefully that'll mean you stop bickering as he was obviuosly stressed about it...

Hann how was the christening today, did you manage to find a present?

Hope everyone else is ok xx

AFM Just had a chilled day today, Leo is really starting to reach his terrible two tantrums - he can really just cry and scream for ages, yesterday it was 45 minutes because he wanted to watch peppa pig and we wouldn't let him. (peppa is like drug addition for toddlers!!). We're really trying to discipline him as it'll be so much more difficult when the baby's here. Other than that he's really hilarious :)

Rest of the time i'm trying to get things ready for baby - feeling so uncomfortable though - not long to go at all now!!

Just popping in for a read to catch up. Such a pain (though not really) to log in to bnb from my phone.

I should be getting stuff done. I think we just hit another groeth spurt and I finally don't have a child attached to me for the first time in about 12 hours. Zzzz

Simmy, so close! So excited for you!

Hi Caz and Fi and Maria and SB and anyone else!

Hann, hope it gets easier for you soon. I'm not getting much sleep, either between the two. Vi had a fee really rough nights a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure it was gas or tummy trouble due to something I ate. She screamed for 7 hours straight one night. And of course I was alone with both kids! I thought we'd all die, lol. But she is back to normal now. Hang in there.

Mel, happy to read you're getting on with school. I'm not ready yet. And I'm undecided whether I'm going to piece together my own coursework to qualify for the IBCLC exam or if I'm going to go to a school across the country via distance learning to get my master's in public health with a focus on lactation. Much more expensive and I'll uave to travel some but nice to have a master's degree. I'd get a couple of certificates in the process, too.

LS :hi:

Fifi - good to see you!

Mel - so glad things are going well with Lucas, he sounds wonderful!!

Afm, Katie turns the big TWO in just one week. Is it bad to say I'm dreading it? It's so hard to let go of my baby! At 1, you can still say they're such a baby but at 2, clearly not. She can do so much stuff now, she's so big...she's growing so fast! Anyone else getting a bit weepy at their LO's upcoming birthdays or am I just really hormonal? :haha:

We have a baby appointment on Katie's birthday as well, excited to feel so relief again. Even though I'm almost 16 weeks, I still stress over something might be wrong. It's hard to let go of that fear and just trust that baby is okay, some days I really want a doppler! But we're almost at a baby appointment, just a little bit longer to wait!

18 days until we find out if this baby is a :pink: or :blue:! Can't wait to start calling baby by name!

Any day now Simmy! Hope things are ok for you. The tantrums aren't great are they?!

SB - not long until your next scan, can't wait to see if it's a boy or a girl! I am guessing a girl :)

Julie - Vi cried for 7 hours, blimey, I'd have gone insane!

All good here - Neel and I getting on a lot better, hoping the house will progress this week and can't wait to be back home! x

I think boy for you SB!

Caz you have done so well with your house situation, I could not have done it!

Simmy - really excited to hear your news' - when are you booked in? Or have I missed that?

Mel - hope you have sorted stuff out with your mum. By the way I'm very impressed with your diet and fitness regime!

Things still crazy here, Henry is just not going to be before 10.30 so I've almost given up trying! He is wide awake but the dummy is keeping him happy, he at least just sits and cuddles at night so it actually quite nice. Still struggling with Annabelles sleep at night and generally she just feels unloved everytime I so much as look at Henry so it's been tricky.
Thought you'd appreciate this, on a Facebook group for may mums and a girl posted on their that her 2 month old (only just and was 4 weeks prem) had watermelon last night. I said that it probably wasn't a good idea and why and she's gone on her fb status calling me a know it all mummy that thinks I'm better because I have read faddy books but really I'm a darlek! I made sure I was really nice about it too so it's quite shocking! I'm not overly bothered because its her issue but just crazy how people get so defensive when you give advice you thought they'd find helpful!!

Wow Han that is early to give food isn't it? I thought 4 months was the earliest and 6 months the 'norm'? I forgot about all of that as well!

Poor you with little sleep. I think Ajay will be the same when/if we have another child as I held my friends baby last week and he got so jealous and said 'mummy cuddle' until I put him down! It''s going to be rough for me too.... :)

Hann, that is outrageous, seriously what are some people thinking! Hope thigs get easier for you soon, is Greg away at the mo?

Simmy COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS WOO HOO!

SB, Love your fb status updates, want a pic of Katies party dress!

AFM Sorted things with mum we think. She admits she is battling demons from the past.. and im in the firing line, but i cant be anymore, so hopefully we have turned a corner. Am super tired Alan been up at 4 last 3 days for work and both of us have struggled to get much sleep. The other morning H decided to get up at 430 lol. He is generally settling well into his toddler bed though and hasnt got out of it hardly at all.
Had swimming today, then i ran home whilst parents drove the boys, man it killed me! Chilled out night tonight, and busy day tomorrow seeing some friends xx

Mel you're amazing and so dedicated with your exercise and weight loss - and you have two kids!!!! Awesome stuff.

Just had a nice tea and looking forward to watching some breaking bad on DVD before bed x

Mel you are amazing with the working out! I'm glad things are moving forward with your mum, sounds complicated though :(
I'm with you on the sleep! Or lack of!

Yes the weaning girl was an idiot, after she attacked me on her profile she left the group only for people to discuss it all and I asked if anyone felt I was out of line and no one said I was anyway she then rejoined the group and today her and a few others have been posting photos of their babies with alcohol bottles and food as a 'f*** you' to me and try other people who agreed with me. They are just ridiculous. I was only trying to help but she's clearly immature and the fact that she got so defensive I think just shows she knew it was wrong. It's very much changed my opinion of a lot of people on that group!

Simmy - thinking if you!!!

Blimey Hann how utterly ridiculous and childish! I really feel for you as you're being ostracised by these idiots when you were only trying to help! :(

Mel, I agree with the others you are fabulous! :)

Quick update from me as it's very late - had my final consultant appt today to see if there was any chance they could bring the c section forward from 41 weeks - and woo hoo it's now booked in for this Friday - my due date! :happydance:

Their reasoning was that they just didn't think I'd go into natural labour anytime soon - they said the baby's head was really high up and cervix was completely closed (don't know if you remember but this was the reason my labour got nowhere last time, my cervix of steel just refused to open! Lol).

I'm so excited that ill meet my little girl very soon. Just stressing now at all the things I still have to do and now only have 1 day left to do them!

Simmy that's so exciting! What amazing news! A nice even date too lol and you just sneak in a June baby which is nice as you'll have them in different months. Almost my wedding anniversary (today) and we are out for dinner tomorrow so I'll celebrate for you! Can't wait to hear your news! x

And yes these girls are clearly picking on me but I really don't care - made of stronger stuff lol ;)

Hi! :D

OMG Simmy your baby girl is going to be here tomorrow?!! So exciting!!!

How are you all getting on? Sorry I've not been on much.

Hann that woman sounds horrible! I feel sorry for her baby if that's her attitude when someone tries to kindly give her (good!) advice.

Mel you put me to shame with your diet and exercise! Sorry to hear things haven't been great with your mum, glad it's on the up now though.

Caz have you moved back in yet? How is it all going? Happy Anniversary! I hope you have a lovely day today :)

SB how's it going? Are you excited for your next scan? That's so cool that you're going to announce the baby's gender at Katie's birthday! <3

Naomi is running me ragged lately, she's such hard work these days! :D We had Holly's sports day yesterday which was fun. Holly came 3rd in her race so was very pleased with herself :D

Mel - I just ran down and took a picture of Katie's dress, because it's so much cuter in real life than in the stock photo on the site. Silly me forgot to take the protective bag off of it first though! lol
https://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa20/KatieWriter/007_zps9d66b880.jpg

Ooh, we have a tie - one for girl and one for boy. Personally, I'm totally confused! I felt girl, but can't stop dreaming of a boy, but that may be because I feel more stressed out with having a boy so my subconscious thinks about it more. It's driving me nuts not knowing, I want to call them by name NOW.

Maria - thanks! I'm so excited, I want to put up all the decorations for Katie's party and the gender reveal now but it's still over two weeks away! I'm just dying to know...and then let everyone else know too! lol. I'm 16 weeks today, just a little bit longer but it feels like forever away.

Hann - I'm so sorry those women are treating you like that. Wow, totally uncalled for and childish! You were completely in the right to say that, you said nothing that a pediatrician or anyone sane wouldn't say. What bullies! Also...I don't know what a darlek is, but I totally read it as being called a Dalek. I thought, if that's a common insult over there, I may have to move there. Haha!

Simmy - SO excited for you!

Mel - glad things are working out with your mom, and that you're doing so great with exercising!

Been trying to post all day but computer not letting me for some reason?

SIMMY YAY! So excited for you! TOMORROW!!!! woo hoo! :)

SB, Love the dress its gorgeous! Im gonna guess GIRL!

Maria, Well done Holly is her sports day! And bless Naomi, its a tiring age isnt it? but so much fun too.

Hann, cant believe how pathetic those girls are being, hold your head high, you are better than them! and happy aniversary! Where are you going to eat?

Caz, happy aniversary to you too. hope you are ok!

AFM, All ok here, A quietish day today, was supposed to be seeing a friend but she cancelled and im quite glad really as i couldnt really be bothered today. I did manage a run this morning before Alan went to work. Harrison has just had a mega sleep and now woke up grumpy so its gonna be fun now till bedtime not!
Mum is having him overnight tomorrow, I think ive upset her again, I asked if she wanted to take Lucas for a couple of hours as she is going to her sisters who doesnt live far from me, not because i wanted him gone but thought she might enjoy it, but she said today that she will just take Harrison, Im a little miffed that she doesnt seem to want to spend as much time with him, its probably just me though. I dont want them to be treated differently by her although i accept that Lucas isnt particularly interested at the mo. Am i just being silly?
