Bleeding During or/and After Sex?

Hi To All You Lovely Chicks!

I have wanted to do this thread from when I first joined but have been abit nervous putting it up as its "personal" but now the doctors know, i know i can "open" up more. So here goes....

When my partner and myself love time, I always seem to bleed during and after? It doesnt last for long (roughly two wee's) but its not nice for either of us.

Just recently i went to the doctor about this, they done a smear which came back normal, then i went to the clinic for another test and all they done was so a STI smear which also came back normal, they said my cervic's is very healthy and nothing to worry about, so we have two choices 1) Live with it, or 2) Have the neck of my womb lasered. I'm going to have the 2nd choice done but its not a long term cure. Also i'm sure if this will put a hold on things.

However, the last 3 times we have had there has been no bleeding whats so ever! Whats that all about? I have recently changed the lube that we use, to KY Jelly. Im not sure if it just luck or if i was having a reaction to the other stuff.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem? If so, do you live with it? Only its putting some strain on our life and when your trying for a baby, you can't go without!

Hi Chello,
I have had occasions of bleeding after sex in the past and was told I had erosions on my cervix which were treated by laser - the problem then went away after the treatment. I think I had to abstain from BD'ing for about 2 weeks?
At least you have ruled all the nasty stuff out.
I would just like to cautuion you on the use of KY jelly whilst TTC. I think it may have an effect on the sperm. Have you thought about using one called preseed or concieve plus. Have a look on the internet about lubes and TTC.

Your cervix is the neck of your womb. Some people just use different words to describe it.

It is amazing what we learn about ourselves ont his TTC journey
Not really putting a hold on things, although I couldn't have sex for about 2 weeks, just to make sure I didn't get any infections and I had to use an internal antibiotic cream to help with this. It was like inserting a tampon but with the tube filled with cream.
Don't think it has any other issues with TTC, although I must admit I wasn't TTC when I had it done so I guess I didn't ask.
Have a chat with them and I am sure they will put your mind at rest.

Thanks for that, i will most deffo ask her. Yes its a journey and a half with TTC, but its nice to have support from other ladies, I know my Fiance is always very supportive but sometimes they dont understand. I'm also having a PCOS scan done on the 28th! EEEK!

I agree, no matter how supportive your partner is they can never really truly understand who we feel about TTC as we are the ones who have to physically go through the process and ultimately (hopefully) carry the baby etc etc.
PCOS scan - is this routine or do they suspect something might be amiss? do you have any symptoms of it?

Well PCOS runs in my family from my mums side, and i requested it as (so i thought) my cycles are irregular but then the doc said there not that bad , but just want to double check more than anything. Also get a few dark hairs under my chin that i pluck :embrassed: and unwanted hair (unusal places) is another sign. xxx
