blood test re-ovulation

hi, i am about to have blood tests to see if i am ovulating?
i dont think i am, also the doc is testing for other stuff but not sure what any ideas?
what would normally happen next if i am not ovulating, or if i am.

Hiya,

Ive not needed any help but i have had the test. The point is, it is up to whatever Dr's care you are under. He will decide what your nextstep is. Most people get put on clomid etc to make them ovulate and then take it from there.

Agree.
If you have regular cycles most likely you are ovulating. I do and have always been told most likely I am but just decided to check. I also was interested in my progesterone level in and of itself. as have had two chemical pregnancies recently. I was happy to find a good level - which means that ay least progesterone wise I should be able to sustain a pregnancy - that is nice to know.

Hi, I have regular 30 day cycles, sometimes 31, and stopped ovulating, so they put me on clomid. This came about because I started to take my temp and noticed it never dipped or gave me ovulation signs so my gp took some tests and that was when we discovered I had stopped, no idea why!?! However, now I am ovulating again it seems lol

The body is a strange thing!

I've just been to see the fertility specialist today funnily enough. She thinks eveything is fine as I did get BFP in Sep09 but had MMC in Dec09. Anyway she's getting 'everything' done as she put it. They've taken blood today for progesterone tests even though I'm CD23 today they think it will be ok. I need to go back for FSH and what looks like 'andiogens???' on the paper between cd2-4 of next cycle. Then I need to go back again between CD8-14 for hycosy (presume it's HCG) where they will inject dye and check my tubes. They also took a urine sample off me today and OH needs to do sperm analysis (they only do test on thurs am so he can do it at home and take it in as long as it's within the hour)

All in all, I'm quite happy with how today went and they seems to be doing all the right tests I wanted. The nurse did mention clomid once all the results came back but they said they'd look at all that once I'd had the hycosy done.

Hi

I'm having CD21 blood test later this cycle (only on CD4 at mo). Doc says they will test my progesterone level to check I've ovulated and also my thyroid.

I personally think I do ovulate as have regular 30/31 day cycles and have EWCM and feel ov pains.

I've gone through all these too and everything seems to be fine and like you I think I O as I get EWCM, pain etc. So how come it's not happening for us then?? I mean if you have a regular cycle, O and all that jazz is it just a matter of timing?? I think I'm doing that okay too but who knows? Cor, this is hard innit??!!
