Had a very liquidy show last night and bloody liquidy show this morning as confirmed by l&d this morning (I thought it was my waters as presumed a show was mucousy!) But cervix still high and posterior. .sweep booked for tomorrow but mw said it wont do much unless cervix starts to efface :-( Any experiences?

I was exactly the same I was in labour 15 hours before I dropped lol

Well I had sweep today-but mw couldn't even reach cervix as so high and posterior still, so it was pointless :-( Got another booked for Wednesday and then induction Friday which I don't want.

With DS mw tried a sweep at 40 weeks. She couldnt even find my cervix it was that high.. Next day my contractions started.. So anything can happen :)

Ohhh Sini that's music to my ears!! Did you do anything that night to bring it on?!

I walked/waddled for 4 hours today in and around towb! Was so hard...will go for a long walk tomorrow too

I didnt do anything special. I just went to bed and at 6am contractions started :)

Hopefully it wont be too long for you now!

I was having contractions, not painful but very regular went to get checked as I have fast labours and the midwife said she couldn't even reach my cervix and was sent home
The pains stopped overnight and the next morning had consultant appointment anyway and was told I would be induced straight away anyway, she checked me n I was 3-4 so anything really can happen! x

Quick update-contractions 10 mins apart from 8pm-2am, couldn't decide whether to sleep or bounce/bath etc-they were painful and could not sleep if they were to continue so after lying in bed for 2 hours they did subside. It was a relief but also I worried id undone all my hard work. Slept til 6am-waking about once an hour to a contraction (especially when turning in bed???) Now im up, had brekkie and washed so gonna drink rlt and bounce-so far nothing happening :-( is this a bad sign for things progressing? Sent oh off to work today. One friend says to sleep this arvo, another says to stay upright..don't know what to do-prob a bit of both. Just don't want to get to 2am again and still no further as ill need energy for when in actual labour x

I'll be thinking of you let us know how things go, good luck!
