Well, it's more of a turquoise really. Getting the Oyster Max double for my son and his little sister, was set on the black but tested him out in the ocean blue one today and it's gorgeous!! Really torn on what to do - convinced my little girl will get called a boy all the time just because she's in a blue pushchair! Also had my heart set on the pink pebble car seat, and don't know if it'll clash too much with the blue? Apparently Babystyle might be bringing out colour packs for the Max later in the year though, so if they do I could always get a pink or purple to use when it goes into single mode and little man's on buggy board.

This is the colour.....

I think it depends on how you'll feel hearing the inevitable "oh lovely little boy" comments....my little girl got called a boy all the time cos she was bald but it never bugged me! As long as you let the comments wash over you then go for it!

I definitely think it's perfect for a girl, nothing a little pink blanky won't fix!!

I love it for a boy and a girl.

Colour packs are def coming out for the max

Well my son was called a girl many a time so I'm used to those sort of comments!! Think I'm gonna go for it, might get a custom pink and turquoise blanket made to match in with it. Do you think a pink car seat would go ok with the blue lower seat as I had my heart set on one when I was thinking black for the pushchair. It'd be one of these 2 xx

That's personally my favorite color so I would rock it with a boy or a girl :)

It's a lovely colour and as it's paler jot as boyish. though I think a pink car seat might clash.

I would go for a purple car seat rather than pink, still girly but I think the pink is a little clashy with the blue pram you've picked, cos it's kind of salmony

Hmm, I think it's a bit more pinky pink in real life.... I'll have to see if they have one in store I can try it with. If not I'll just stick with my son's black one and see if I can get hold of replacement newborn inserts that I've lost.

Thanks for your input, think I've definitely been persuaded to go for the blue. Just got to take DH to see it now xx

I'm not doing the 'pink/dolls/girly things' for a girl and 'blue/monster trucks/cars' for a boy. This baby's getting both, whatever it's gender, so I would definitely go ahead and get that pushchair. :D

Why not? Colors are just colors. They are found in nature and are not innately "feminine" or "masculine", it's just a stupid man made construction. In the Victorian era, boys were frequently put in pink because it was considered "strong and vibrant" like men, while girls wore blue which was "soft and gentle" like girls.

I would do it. I personally got a used stroller that is green and blue plaid. If it is a girl I would not be bothered by the comments as I know they are saying from their heart the baby is cute. I also would not feel need to correct them unless it is someone I will see again. My sister was bald for a LONG time so my Mom got it pretty often as she was a winter baby all bundled up many outings:p

I love it. But yes you'll no doubt get people assuming she's a boy but to be honest I had people refer to my ds as a she when he was dressed in all blue with cars on! (Not that a girl shouldn't wear that but if you were gonna guess, you'd guess boy, surely?!)

As long as you're happy to brush off the comments go for it  I'm so over the gender differentiation there is in society now. DS2 will be in a lot less male gender stereotypical clothes than DS1 was. It's just ridiculous, looking at badges for DS2 birthday & the choice in one shop was either blue or pink! Where's all the reds, greens & yellows and all the shade in between?! It really annoys me.

Just get it! We have a blue pushchair, don't think anyone has ever mistaken Joni for a boy because of it (although when she was a baby in neutral colours she was sometimes) and I wouldn't be too bothered anyway. I think it's just one of those things you can way overthink. x

You're all absolutely right! I've got my girl outfits in shades of blue so why would I think twice about a pushchair?! I don't like to see girls all pink and boys all blue either so it's not an issue. Right, I'm getting it!!

Just thought as well, it'd look lovely with a turquoise and pink Cath Kidston-esque flowery blanket/footmuff (if the blue is similar enough not to clash), and that would go with a pink car seat too.
