BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Yesterday...

Breakfast: Cherry Wheats soaked in oat milk; squished blueberries
Lunch: Scrambled egg with seeded toast; fruit jelly
Dinner: Quorn and bean chilli with wholegrain rice, cucumber and yellow pepper sticks; soya yogurt

Holly tried some carrots and a potato at dinner today but didn't manage to actually eat anything!

Scarlett had...
B- stewed plums
L - spinach and ricotta ravioli and some of her sisters pizza.
d - leftover risotto, broccoli, natural yoghurt and chunks of pear. Lots eaten!

so LO is showing less interest in purees now, thought we'd move on to BLW! today we had traditional breakfast of ready brek with some pear mixed in. lunchtime she sucked and chewed on some strips of crumpet...and we discovered banana isn't great for finger food, kept breaking up in her hands and getting stuck to her little fists and ended up everywhere but her mouth. so we ended up mushing that one. mini success with the crumpet tho!

thinking of moving on with veg sticks as she always turns her nose up at the veg puree now.

sorry only half relevent as i guess we're doing a mix of TW and BLW, but i'm hoping to move away from spoon feeding as soon as we can! it's fun and she loves that she can get food from her own hand to her mouth!!

Rock, try this. Peel the banana a bit and then cut off the hanging peel so some is left for a handhold. Works really well in the early days. :)

Holly had a play around with some broccoli today and made a huge mess!

B - chunks of peach
L - was asleep
D - veggie sausage, roasted butternut squash and broccoli, stewed apple and custard

b - porridge

l - blackberries, strawberries and some cucumber. a couple of organix carrot puffs too

d - cauliflower cheese and greek yoghurt with a some strawb jam mixed in

LO played with one piece of pasta. BLW is going very slowly!

Today:
Breakfast: oaty pancakes with stewed apple on top
Snack: cheese chunks and raisins
Lunch - was asleep
Dinner - chicken and butternut squash curry, broccoli, homemade naan bread. Stewed apple and some raspberries.

Yesterday..

B - Greek yoghurt with blackberry puree

L - Steamed carrot sticks, homous and a ricecake, some strawberries too

D - Puy lentils, tomatoes, cucumber and some mango for afters!

Not posted on here in ages but need some advice and inspiration. LO is almost 13 months but won't eat much still other than pasta, rice or bread. We're still offering a big variety of things but she refuses most. She can't have dairy either as it makes her badly constipated. I'm really struggling for ideas on what to make for her that she'll eat. She's still BF and nurses 4 or 5 times a day and at least twice a night which is getting to be quite exhausting. Anyone have any tips.

Yesterday she had:
B- porridge with rasperries (ate about 2 spoonfuls)
L - Veg soup (refused)
D . homemade pizza with peppers (ate base and tomato topping but refused peppers) nibbled on an orange
Snack - rice cakes (ate 2 or 3)

Today
B - plum (nibbled) kiwi (nibbled) 2 spoons of weetabix with rice milk
L - lentil soup (refused)
D - eating at MILs so whatever she makes - probably some kind of pasta

B - wakey wakey cakey (this is absolutely disgusting but Scarlett loves it! It's basically 2 Weetabix, 100ml milk, a handful of cornflakes and a mashed banana mixed up together, and baked in fairy cake tins for 30 mins. They are not that messy which I love as we eat breakfast in the living room.)
L - asleep as usual
D - pizza with mixed peppers and goats cheese, garlic bread. Pear chunks, some raspberries.

BLW breakthrough!!!! Yey!

LO actually ATE some banana (about two mouthfuls) at lunch time and cauliflower (one mouthful) for dinner. He also sucked on a carrot finger but fist actually eat any.

So pleased he seems to have got the hang of not gagging or spitting out the tiny bits of food he manages to get in his mouth!

I was so proud of him!!!!!

Saturday
B-porridge and raspberries
L- scrambled egg with spinach
D - fish, peas and roasted potatoes
Sunday
B - toast with SF jam
L - pasta in tomato and basil sauce, steamed carrots and fennel, orange
D - roast chicken, rice, green beans, apple,
Today
B - porridge and stewed plums with cinnamon
L - lentil soup, pepper sticks, toast, kiwi fruit
D - roasted courgette, aubergine and sweet potato with couscous

B- mini shredded wheat, toast and jam, banana

L- crumpet with philadelphia and some tomato wedges

D - broccoli pasta bake

Hello - I haven't posted on here for ages either. And our weaning journey isn't getting any easier either :hugs:

James is nearly 14 months and still seems to have the appetite of a small mouse. He oscillates between eating a lot (for him) and barely anything so I try my hardest to relax about it all - but it's so hard isn't it? Especially when every other baby this age seems to be chowing down on full three course meals by now!

Does she flat out refuse veggies? James LOVES broccoli, and it's our fail safe food, but is more reluctant with things like peppers, cucumbers, carrot etc. what about grated in a sauce? Cauliflower/broccoli cheese?
If she's still feeding frequently then she'll be getting enough nutrients, but I know where you're coming from with wanting it to be more solids by now.

I started don't offer, don't refuse with James from about 12 months (with slight tailoring of offering cows milk and/or snack first if he asked for a feed during day) and he's now down to morning and bedtime feeds only (although he loves cows milk...). I had hoped he'd eat more solids if he had less milk, but...sigh.

Not much help, sorry. But hopefully reassuring to know your LO isn't only one still not eating much? Good luck x

Thanks mistyscott - it's reassuring to know that others are in the same boat. LO has been eating a bit more in the past few days so hopefully it's the start of an improvement. I'm reluctant to reduce BF as I worry LO won't get enough nutrients from solids but then she sometimes doesn't eat because she's full of milk. It's hard to know what to do for the best. I can't offer cows milk as it seems LO is dairy intolerant and I'm not sure what else to give her other than BM.

Anyway, today LO has had
B - porridge and stewed plums with cinnamon, clementine orange, camomile tea with honey
L - bit of leftover lentil soup, ham and tomato sandwich, kiwi fruit
D will be - pasta with broccoli
