Votes please! The surname begins with C if that influences anyone's opinions. I think I am going off Reuben a bit. I love Xander but can't think what you would shorten it to and I would really prefer a name that can be shortened. Also some friends of my OH have said that they think Xander is a very posh name and we would have to send our child to an expensive prep school to get away with that (which we won't be doing). I didn't think it sounded especially posh - does anyone have an opinion on whether Xander sounds posh or not?
Thanks guys. This is my first poll in the names section but I'm sure it won't be my last over the next few months! :happydance:

How about Alexander and shortening it to Xander?

I don't think Xander sounds overly posh. I think its a nice name. xx

I chose Xander. I think it's a great name, I like it spelled Zander too :)

I like Lincoln, Fletcher and Xander and don't think it sounds too posh at all. If you like it, go for it!

I voted Lincoln, but I'm biased since we're naming our baby that if it's a boy lol

I voted for Xander, but prefer the spelling Zander... i don't think it sounds "too posh"!

I really love Rueben, but Xander comes second for me :) if your heart is set on that go fot it!

Thanks everyone, pleased people don't think Xander is too posh! I also like the spelling Zander but OH prefers it Xander.

I love the name Xander, it's on our shortlist. Doesn't sound posh to me at all and no need to shorten it as it's already shortened from Alexander!
