Bump, Flushes, Dimples and Beyond [closed]

Browsing activity gym's on the net - any recommendations, we particularly want one with lights and a mirror (her two favourite things on her baby-friend's one!!). I quite like the look of the baby einstein around the world one.

Looks good, we have a few and Jack isnt a fan of the dual arch one yet....it took Mogster a while though and he much preferred the multiple arches when he could roll. Jack likes the single arch across one and to bat at the links we hook on, think ours is a hotch potch of gyms/toys made into one  but this one is one he keeps coming back to! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ELC-baby-act...?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Toys_CA&hash=item35ad631aca and this is the base for the one we adapt...https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/fisher-price...?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Toys_CA&hash=item4153cc1797

Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all the love! Soooo....The dr. apt was good. Got yeast stuff for P's mouth for a possible nipple yeast infection that I have again. (I still have cream from last time)and a prescription for domperidone Haven't decided if I will use it yet because....check this...she's gone from 7lbs 10oz on Oct 4th to 9lbs 2oz today!!! :happydance::happydance::happydance: Well maybe 9lbs even because she had on her big gdiaper! And my post-preggo check was all good. But...I told the doc she had been sniffly this week so we are going back in a week for her shots. I imagine after next week the next round will be early in the new yesr

OH!!! and we saw the ear/nose/throat specialist!! (He's so much younger than I expected :haha:) and the lactation consultant/midwife/nurse were right...she is indeed tongue tied. It's a wonder I have been able to nurse her so well. So His office is calling me next week to schedule an apt. ASAP to have her frenulum clipped.

xo

Wow shes gaining brilliantly given she is feeding with TT! You are doing fab too Brig  Do you think they will do the snip at that appt? FX'd its very soon :)

Jack is my hero :cloud9: last night he did 7.20 - 7.10 with a 24 minute feed/bum change around 3.15 :happydance:

Hows everyone else today? Feel like I got my mojo back :cloud9: Love my boys :cloud9:

Lurking and reading but a little quiet :hugs:

GP has referred me for some counselling....unlikely to be PND because to be honest I have been like this for a good few years, and she said she can see Dylan and I have a wonderful bond so I'm glad she accepts that, I was worried she wouldn't....

Can't treat medically due to the breastfeeding and she agrees with me that BF is good for me, and Dylan is still just wonderful he is so happy and bouncy :cloud9:

DH just made me realise just because I've been like this for a long time doesn't mean it is right lol....hard talking about it really which is why I have just gone quiet instead I guess lol....

Good to hear you are all doing well

Brig- great news hun... Ur a fab mommy:hugs:

Lia I am so proud of you for taking the first step to getting some help :hugs: you know i'm here for you, I will come and meet you anytime. Also, there are plenty of BF safe meds for despression so don't write that off as an option.

Can't wait till all of our babies have finished their jabs! Last lot for the first year is at 16 weeks. Hugs to all of our bumpy babies xxxx

We are doing really well. Me and G are going through a smooth patch, which makes a very nice change but I still have no idea what the future holds. Am applying to Middlesex, Canterbury, Bath and Brighton universities for next year so could move to any of them depending on if I get accepted and where me and G are. I don't feel very optimistic to be honest that me and him will last, but I'm also ok with that, as long as i've got my babyboy I know i'll be fine :) college is going SO well, I'm really enjoying it but the workload is immense- I'm going to bed exhausted every night now after staying up till late doing homework and revision, but it will be so worth it in the end. I don't even attempt to do any in the day, Kia gets my full attention and when he naps I do housework etc.

We're about to get even busier though, cos i've signed us up for Waterbabies and Monkey Music!!! :happydance: So it's college all day Monday, nothing on Tues (this is my get-stuff-done, one-on-one time with Kia day- I really cherish it!), Monkeymusic Wed morning, college Wed afternoon, college Thurs morning, Waterbabies Thurs afternoon, and college Friday! PHEW!

Brig, so great she has been diagnosed as tongue tied and you still managed to breastfeed her- GO MAMA, that is some dedication xxxxx

How are you liking the G-diapers?

Lydia, how are you getting on with your cloth nappies, any better?

Im here if you need me...text any time hon or call etc. BF got me through the low spell recently, got time with my baby and mogster was curling up with us with a story so we were all cuddled together - the moments make it easier but agree with the girls and your OH it is definitely good to talk :friends: Wishing lots of support for the counsellor seshes - could any of it be related to gall bladder thingy?

Thanks ladies you are all so great - I get weepy when people are supportive or nice to me lol which is prob why I've avoided mentioning it on here lol....

I don't know moggy, I have been like this really since uni, on and off, and only ever done a half arsed job of treating it. I met Ash and he was so happy bouncy it was infectious so when he was up, I was up lol. But I don't want it to affect how I am with Dylan so its time I did sort it. As well I think it doesn't help I have no good friends (locally) since we moved here....noone to just go round for a cuppa etc. On the note of the gall stones though, I do have one but they want me to just take pain meds for it unless it gets worse for now  You are right though, the BF and cuddles helps so much. :hugs: for you too, I've been a bit of a selfish slacker lol....

Yas that is so exciting about uni, you are so amazing to do this whilst being a new mummy. And all the groups will be fab.

This is great news and you have both done so well with the feeding! :hugs:

P&F, you should be so proud of yourself for taking the plunge to get it sorted. And as the others said we are all here for you if and when you need us.

Moggy, good to have you back. And as above we're only a clivk away for you too. Sometimes it helps to just vent to someone who isn't involved too closely.

Yas, you are doing great. As for your situation with G, just take it one step at a time.

Brig, well done on the BF despite P being tongue tied. And good news on the appointment for getting it sorted.

Everyone else :hi:

PM'ed DeDe and costgang. DeDe has been on recently, but no reply. Hope she is okay and just really busy with LO.

I know a few of you have a Jumperoo. Anyone fancy replying to my thread here: https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/448708-jumperoo-one-get.html

:hi: Moggy. Some days he's much better but others like last night are not so good! Tonight we are trying swaddling again. Fingers crossed it does the job. Go Jack on the sleep last night!

Brig, I can't believe they have only just discovered that Peyton is tongue tied. Well done you then for BF her for so long!! Glad the check all went well.

Wanted to write more but can hear Harry crying upstairs! ...

Mogster was a swaddler! Have you tried a small sleeping bag say 0-3 size?

Pip - I'll be interested in your responses, I think we're going to get J one for christmas.

Yas - getting on better with nappies thanks, still trying to work out which ones work best. DH isn't doing so well at dealing with the poo... I've come up with a double liner system (fleece with flushable on top), which seems to be making life easier.

Claire - is Ana fully better now, poor little thing. I love the photos of her on fb, she is so cute!

Grr - just lost the first half of my post. Start again...

Lia - glad youre getting counselling, Dylan needs the happiest mummy possible. I'm here to chat if you need to ramble/rant/vent etc :hugs:

Moggy - so glad you feel you've turned a corner - yay. And well done to Jack for sleeping so well!!!

Brig - I'm so pleased they've finally diagnosed tt, I can't believe they took so long, well done you for feeding her so well - the weight gain is brilliant!!

Ann - how did the swaddling go? We still swaddle J, she's much quieter with her hands strapped down :haha: (saying that - worst night last night, she was restless nearly all night, I'm pretty pooped today...)

Hi Costgang and DeDe - hope you're both well.

Right - got to go and get J ready to go to MILs, she's looking after her for the first time, I'm off riding. I know she'll be fine, I'm just nervous about it for no reason!!:dohh:

So I got the most horrific news last night...

My mom called to tell me that one of my little cousins just passed away. I didn't egt the full story...but something like his mom was in the laundry room, he was upstairs playing with his brother and choked on a little piece of plastic from the blinds. She went back upstairs and he was just laying there....he JUST turned 1 last week.
My heart is broken for their family.
Sorry...just had to share that...what's that saying...a burden shared is halved? Anyway...I needed to get it off my chest.
xo

Oh Brig, thats terrible news, just devastating for everyone, I'm so sorry. Sending you huge hugs, you're in my thoughts :hugs:

Brigitte that is absolutely awful news. I'm so so sorry :hugs: It makes me shudder to think how fragile life is. Love to your family at this very sad time.

xx
