Bump, Flushes, Dimples and Beyond [closed]

Hes only 5 weeks old though so dont worry about it til he gets older - we mollycoddled Mogster then did crying down once he was old enough :hugs:

Not sure of the age it is aimed at but we have used the Karvol plug-in with Jack already...sure he was 4-5 weeks the first time

Ooh thanks Claire. Might send the dh out to look for one as I don't really want to take him outside with a cold. x

Ann- dont know what to suggest to help hun... Do u have bed time routine:shrug: Ana likes to be cuddled during the day... And sometimes after 1st feed of the day.... Mostly due to wind....but i can get her to self settle after bedtime routine:shrug: all babies are different though:hugs:

Moggy- hope jack gets over the jabs soon. Am so dreading Ana's next week as she cried with the heel prick test:cry: Jac was a warrior with all of his though:shrug:

Hello everyone else:hi:

Jac had bad day witb his teeth yesterday poor thing... He has a few of the big ones ready to come through. Hes back to normal today though:thumbup:
Hubby home from his jaunt this evening... So looking forward to a cuddle ... And for him to do everything fot the next few days:haha:

Xx

Thanks Claire. We have been trying a bedtime routine. He will fall asleep but then will wake up screaming. I think maybe he has colic. x

karvol plug in https://www.karvol.co.uk/karvolvaporiser.htm
Says 3 months plus though  When Jack was snuffly we had a plug on in our room just kept it the other side of the room to him so wasnt so intense, really helped him. Not sure bout the 3 month thing though but J is a chunky monkey - hes biiger than Mogster was at 5 months already

Hope H feeling brighter soon, its horrid watching them snuffle - Mogster used to do well if OH had a hot shower with the bathroom door closed then he turned the water temp down and I would pass Mogster in, the warm room and the water and steam realy helped him. :flower:

Aww poor thing. I think Ana has it too but not as bad as HW...we can have evenings of on/off crying for about 3 hrs.... But am lucky she'll settle after her last feed.We can also have bouts after 1st morning feed for a few hours. I think its getting a bit better now... Ithink it peaks around 5-6 weeks and then should ease off. Lets hope so hun... For our sanity.

Hello All,

Sorry to all the babies who are not feeling themselves at the moment due to cold, jabs, colic...Hope they are feeling better soon.

We have received our appointment for the jabs today for 26th October. I am really dreading it as I will probably start crying when S does plus Moggy's story about Jack's reaction is not making me feel great about the jabs either. :(

We went to the Sling Group again on Monday and borrowed a BabyHawk Mei Tai. Currently deciding between the Close Baby Carrier and this one.

Also went to Baby Massage on Monday, which he absolutely loved.

Moggy, I remember you mentioning the Avent Washable Breast Pads. Do you also use them during the day? Have you completely replaced the disposable ones with these or are you still using disposable ones too?

Back on poo watch here.....

TT disposables in the day sometimes but mostly use the avent washable ones, trried mothercare ones which got fab reviews but they LEAK a lot!!!:dohh:

hey ladies!

Ann: Sorry H isn't feeling well. When Peyton got her cold she was extra sucky. We got a cool mist vaporizer for the room, lifted the head oh her bassinet and did several saline nasal cleanings a day. Besides that just be sure he is well hydrated. :hugs:

We have our apt for needles Oct 28 and that same day we have the apt with the specialist regarding her tongue tie...so she may have her tongue snipped as well. She only cried her first heel prick...got 4 more after that to test her bili levels because she was jaundiced...so got used to it I guess?

As for sleeping...we are still at the stage where P mostly has to be fallen asleep on us before we can set her down. I wish she would self settle more often...but that not the case yet.
xo

She's very well thank you Pip, she slept from 1am last night and is still asleep!!!!! I'm over the moon. But isn't it funny, I'm now wondering whether she's ill because she's slept for so long! She stirred at 4am and I just gently rocked the crib and she fell back to sleep. I think its because DH settled her last night, so he can have that job every night!

Which sling have you gone for? I think as J gets older I'd like to try some others, she just loves hers at the moment.

How is everyone else doing?

Lydia- doing ok over here... Havent tried the slumber bear as thinking we may not need it. Ana goes from 8-8.30 till approx 5 am now. Pretty good for a 7 week old so im not complaining. Ill keep it as backup in case the restlessness pwrsists which she can have.
Sounds like J is doing reallt well... Great that youve found a job for hubby lol Oh... And so you know...the worry never goes away...theres always something... Part of being a mum i think:wacko: when things are going good ur convinced theres something wrong:dohh:

We're on poo watch here.. Usually a daily thing but we're up to 48 hrs now... I guess its going to be one to remember:blush:

That sounds like it's going to be an impressive poo Claire!

I'm so jealous of all these sleeping babies! Having said that Harry is getting better, or certainly has been over the last week. He's now doing 3 hr stretches.

We currently have baby van gough on for him!! The things I do to try and keep him entertained!!

My dh has gone out for a blimen 3 hour run. He did ask if he could carry on with his running as he's training for next year's marathon but ugghh 3 hours?! I look forward to having his company and an extra pair of hands so it's gutting that on Saturday morning I'm sat here on my own again. Still Harry is being a little cutie so that does make up for it!

Also dh suggested that I should have a treat so he's offered to buy me a couple of pieces of clothing. I can't wait as I'm too big for my pre maternity clothes and too small for my maternity ones. I am going to get some jeans and a top from Next I think. So excited!

xx
