It's really gone by super quick! Lol, I keep doing that lately 'this time last year . . . . '

Nope she isn't walking yet, she can stand unaided for a long time, claps and wiggles about whilst she is doing it but has yet to take a step. She doesn't cruise much on the couch either but she has been using one of those walker toys at nursery, the ones they hold onto not sit in. Knowing what she is like she will show no interest in it but then decide all of a sudden she wants to do it, then there is no stopping her! How about your little man? Love your avetar, looks like he is having lots of fun at the beach and maybe getting up to mischief?! x :flower:

 Heya Aimee, hope you hear something job wise soon. Good luck on the house hunt too :flower: We just got some bogof books at tesco and are splitting them, 2 for birthday, 2 for christmas!

Just though't I'd update people on Bonfloss too, I'm still in contact with her and Rachel is 1 tomorrow (another early Bumpkin). They are all fine and doing well.

well my dexter is a little slow lol, he seems to do things a month later then most babies his age!

He didnt sit until he was 7ish months, and he doesnt crawl properly lol he comando crawls pulling him self along with his arms!

Hes just started pulling him self up on the bottem step into kneeling lol. but yeah thats an update on my lazy boy x

aimee-lou - you should move to north wales lol! i rent a 2 bedroom house for £455 a month!

taylorsmummy- all babies develop at different speeds. dexter'll catch up soon enough! =] and well done dexter for pulling himself up on the bottom step! =]

Good morning :)

It's good to see some of the old bumpkins coming back! Sounds like everyone is doing well :hugs: Happy birthday to those that have already celebrated too!

I finally bought a couple of little things for Emma's birthday. I got her some Cabbage Patch Kids Cuties- they are smaller versions of the dolls and wearing little costumes (I got Emma the turtle and the leopard. I had also bought her a cd of kids music but I got impatient and played it for her yesterday  She loves bobbing up and down to music. I think we are just going to combine her birthday with our family thanksgiving dinner (Emma's birthday is on a Wednesday and thanksgiving in Canada is the weekend following). Sounds bad that we aren't having a separate party, but honestly I can't be bothered entertaining family twice in one weekend :haha:

We are enjoying a rare morning sans kiddies so Emma is cuddled up on my lap again. She has adjusted pretty well to having a 4 yr old in the house during the mornings and a 7 year old before and after school (the first "baby" starts next week). I had a little "ah ha" moment yesterday while watching the 3 of them play and realized that in some ways with the boys always being around, it's almost like she now has older brothers- they are really good with her and she thinks they are hilarious since they are always trying to find ways to make her laugh. Anyway, Emma is still only taking one or two steps by herself without holding onto stuff but she's a fast and very persistant crawler- I have to be careful at the park because she zooms to the end of the slide and tries to climb up it everytime I put her down. Her latest word is Beasty, our cat's name. It started as "ti-ti" but she's saying it properly now. It's crazy to me just how much she's changed over the past few months-growing too fast!

What's everyone up to this weekend? I think we might head back to the lake if hubby gets home from work at a decent time tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a good day :hugs:

Kaites - Isaac is always trying to climb up the slide too lol! Sounds like Emma is doing really well with talking! =]

I have no idea what I'm doing this weekend yet. Probs just chilling at home with Ike. I was supposed to be going out for my friend's 23rd birthday, but I'm completely skint at the moment.

Afternoon all,

Quick visit as leaving work in 5! Early one today!

Kaites: Okay now I have 'Cabage Patch kids, growing in the garden, Cabage patch kids, growing in sun . . . .' tune in my head. :haha: Wonder what happend to my old 12"?! My Sis and I used to love listening to it. They don't seem to do them much over here I don't think anymore, shame really. Well done on Emma's new word! Chloe has learnt 'uh-oh' and says it when she drops things - so pretty much all the time! Glad this are settling down with the kiddies and Emma  Hope you get to go to the lake :flower:

No plans here, prob inlaws again :dohh: Hoping to go to Pets at Home store as a friend / old colleague has invited me to go as they are holding a charity day on Sunday.

Best go! Need to wash the work pots before I dash! Have a fab weekend all :folwer:

Kte- I want Isaac to learn uh-oh lol! It sounds so cute! Have you got a video of her saying it?

Woohoo! Well put out the bunting and bake me a cake! I'm employable!! lol :happydance:

Granted I have been offered a job stacking shelves in Sainbury's and it's temporary until January, but the hours are good (Wed-Sat 1-9), I can carry on job hunting for a 9-5 office job! I still don't know about yesterday's interview, and i'm buggered if I know which one I'll take if I get offered that one (shift work so not sure how childcare would work ). Going to give them til the end of today and then ring the hotline in the morning to organise a start date.....should be w/c 4th October

Earl is walking more and more...... He has a wicker hamper that he likes to sit on and read (looks so grown up lol) and yesterday he just stood up and walked 5 steps accross the room trying to get to the zingzillas! He's getting a bit ahead of himself though and keeps on trying to get accross the room but not wuite making it. I'm waiting for him to clout his head on the sofa wood! :dohh:

Anyway, I'm off. We';re having pizza to celebrate tonight, Earl is asleep and I have a cup of tea waiting!

yayyy Aimee :happydance: that's great news!! Earl sounds cute when he reads- Emma is obsessed with books too and can usually be found in the middle of a pile of books, turning the pages and babbling and pointing. I love it- keeps her happy and occupied for ages!

Kte- they don't really do much CPK stuff here anymore either, just the little ones in costumes at the moment and last summer when I found out Emma was a girl I bought a couple of the "classic" ones since they were in the shops as an anniversary edition at that time. I've got the song in my head now too :dohh: :haha: hubby has been trying to teach Emma "uh oh" too :) It's cute because she usually does it with a really serious face and then breaks out giggling. Enjoy the charity day on Sunday!

Neferet- I hope you still manage to get out for your friend's birthday :flower:

Well ladies, I got the other job too, but we've decided I will take the sainsbury's job (have already declined te other one now) as it worked out that I would never see Earl and he would have to go into full time nursery (not what we wanted to do).

My start date is the 16th of October so I don't have to worry about anything just now and can concentrate on getting hubby to Uni.

he's got most of histimetable through...looks like he's only in lectures 12 hours a week!!

Thanks ladies.....I'm off to go make Earl his tea now!

Congrats Amiee :) Would seem job offers are like buses .. you get none, then two come along at once ;)

Don't think I'm gonna get out for my friend's birthday. FOB is coming round in a bit and depending on my bank balance, I might go to the pub with him or something!

Isaac has been walking loads between me and my grandmother today. I'm so proud of him- looks like he's starting to get the hang of this walking malarky lol!

Congrats Aimee! =]

Chaos - You're not far wrong there! I have been looking since the 8th September (since 1st April in reality) with gusto, done 114 applications, and you can bet any money that I'll start to get jobs coming in from all over now that I've said yes! :dohh:

I'm still job hunting, just toned it down a bit as I would like regular daytime hours (i.e. a normal job! lol) so I'll be looking for office stuff and as soon as something comes up I'll take it but for now, it's all good. Hubby has gone for takeaway, wine and a bag of haribo to celebrate. lol We're going to be living on the breadline for a few days but ha, who cares! I can now use the computer for things other than trawling flipping job sites! :happydance:

Morning all,

Did everyone have a nice weekend? :flower:

Congrat's Aimee! :happydance:

Nerefert: Hope you had a nice day whatever you got up to in the end - friend or pub  Well done on Issac and his walking skills! I have tried so hard to get a video of Chloe saying "uh-oh" but she is a madam and never says it when the camera is on her! :dohh:

Well we had a mishap this weekend :nope: The cats were accidentally locked in the front room on Sat night and Sunday morning I discovered Chloe having a taste of some lovely poop one of them had left behind   I was not impressed! Thankfully she only had a tiny bit and I called NHS Direct and they didn't seem that worried so I just monitored her and she seems fine. Just so annoyed I discover it before her.

Kte- Glad she's ok after the poop incident. What did she think of the taste? =/

I had a lovely weekend. Had a couple of drinks at home on Friday night with a couple of friends and jsut spent the rest of the weekend chilling with Ike. He really seems to love Glee lol!

HELLO girls! I'm back very briefly just to say hi, lest you all forget about me completely. Life is good, sleep is good (did I really just say that?!), me and OH are good, um, that's about it - basically I have spent the past few weeks sorting out my head, my life and my relationship and things are clearly looking up. We've just come back from a very sunny hol in Devon and now have a week left before we head back to the land of working properly. Gosh, it feels like I've had a long and lovely summer, even if it wasn't very hot.

That's gotta be all for today, but over the next week I'll be popping in a bit, and then next week when I'm working again I'll be chat-happy-tastic again.

Monty is doing soooo much now. I'll update when I get some spare seconds.

Love to you all xxxx

Kte- Glad she's ok after the poop incident. What did she think of the taste? =/

Thankfully she wasn't impressed! She started to gipp/gagg - That's how I realised she was eating something she shouldn't be as she was just playing on the floor.

Forgot to say earlier - like you new avetar, Mr Cool!

 Hello Colsy, glad things are good  :flower: Lookfoward to hearing more when you back properly!

Colsy- Glad stuff is going well for you. =]

Kte- hehe the glasses in my avatar are those 3d ones you get in the cinema lol! He picked them up the other day and I just thought to myself 'omg I need to put them on him and take some pics' lol =]
