We're both getting older (I'll be 34 in March, he's 37) so that's another consideration. I know what you mean about there being pros and cons to either trying soon or waiting though.

You're younger than me though!

Woohoo! Hello ladies!!

Earl has a nursery place starting next week  We're going to see a house on Saturday  and I start work tomorrow:cry: We have our day to day routien sorted and while it's not ideal, it's better than I thought and I'm at home on weekends with hubby and Earl and it's all good. We're also going to chang Earl's bedtime slightly so that he's still up when hubby nad I get in at 7

Monday - leave at 6.30 back by 7 _ Earl with MIL all day.
Tuesday - leave at 6.30, hubby comes home by 2, I get train home, back by 7.30 - Earl with MIL in the Morning then hubby after 2.
Wednesday- same as Tuesday
Thursday - Leave at 6.30, Earl at Nursery 8.30-5, home by 7. Earl with MIL around Nursery.
Friday - same as Thursday.

Re: naps - Earl is asleep at the moment. He is losing his morning nap but he was awake early this morning due to alarms going off etc. He normally has 2 naps, 1 longer, 1 shorter, but they could be either way around, usually around 10 and 1.

Sorry I'm not on much, I'm trying to get everything sorted, apply for credits, arrange housing, nurseries, all sorts while still spending my last few days with Earl. Speaking of which, he's just woken up so I best be off. Can't beleive I'm back to work tomorrow. It's been a brilliant year (17 months to be precise!) and I can't wait to have my year off with No.2 (hopefully the whole of 2012! :happydance:)

Speka to you later on ladies I hope we're all ok and :hugs: to those that need them.

Aimee, heaps of luck with work. Poor you  And hope Earl settles in well to nursery. I bet you're gonna miss him :hugs:

Colsy: My best friends Mum ended up having twins when she was in her 40's! . . . how can I put this without being offenisve of cheesy - your not too old / over the hill yet, you have time

Kaites: Glad Emma was okay with her jabs :hugs: My Sis is 34 in March too! Her hubby is going to be 43 next March.

Flora: Harry looks very happy in his ball pit :D

Aimee: :happydance: Glad Nursery and work are sorted, good luck with the house hunting now! :flower: Hope Earl has a good time, has he had any settling in days? Enjoy your first day tomorrow too!

Chloe is in the newspaper today :D Although those on my FB prob know already! :haha: We entered her into a Baby of the Year competition so I got a copy as a keep sake for her. :cloud9:

Well, I cursed yet another pram today! My fave one too  I waiting for the bus with Chloe's nursery keyworker and was talking about how I pretty much always get the bus with steps . . . and then one turned up. Then I was talking on the bus with her and was saying about the Silvercross snapping. Then we got off the bus and suddenly as I put the pram back up, *clang* a metal pole just dropped off the bottom, it had snapped off :dohh:

Good morning!

Colsy- As a follow on to Kte's twin comment, I think I heard they are more common as you age- wait long enough and maybe you can give Monty a brother and a sister :haha:

Aimee- Glad to hear you got childcare sorted :flower: I hope your return to work is a smooth one :hugs:

Kte- Wow, you are cursed with strollers! Sounds like you do put a lot of miles on them with your commute, but that must be so frustrating/difficult when it happens! Do you still have that pink floral one as a fallback? ;)

I only have Emma's little friend today- no school aged kids :) I love days like this- no school run, no kindie kid complaining that the babies want to play with him, and I can be more relaxed about when they nap (again because of not having a school run). I should probably get going and eat some breakfast and wake Emma. Hope everyone is having a good day :hugs:

Actually, that's one of my reasons for TTC NOW rather than waiting :winkwink: My friend has twins and a 6-year-old and she is defo finding it very hard work! Twins kind of sounds nice, but then when you REALLY think about it ...

P.S. According to my ticker Monty's meant to be one tomorrow. Hmmm, either that's wrong or I don't know my own child's birthday. AFAIK he should be one on Saturday.

Oh yes I still have it, its in my car where I can't see it :haha: I'm pretty much guaranteed to not curse that one as I hate it so much!

Colsy: They really do confuse me! Jeepers, you just reminded me! I think your might say, 11 months 4 weeks and 'x' days tomorrow. IIRC two of my tickers are different, so apparently Chloe is 1 on 2 different days!

Kte i know i said on facebook but i voted for chloe :) Gonna get a few more calls in tomorrow for her too - off the work phone of course lol

Well i just sent off my UCAS forms - god im gonna be so nervous now.

Kte seeing as you work in a uni you're the only person i know to ask, when would i roughly hear back from them? Do i keep checking online next year? do they tell you if they looked at your application and decided no without an interview?

PS dont mention uni on my facebook - too many work people on there and i wont tell them till i get a yes!

Colsy - according to my ticker i think sam was 11 months and 4 weeks for a couple of days before his birthday which is really odd.

LK - Happy Birthday James

Thanks Jo!

Good luck with your application! :flower: You should hear something either way from them, hope its an 'unconditional offer' :D. Mostly it's all online so you can track it thorough the UCAS website but when the Uni makes an offer UCAS will either email your or send you a letter if they don't have your email address to inform you of the decision. Hope that helps

Won't say anything on FB!

Thanks Kte, i think i'd pee myself with excitement if i got an unconditional offer!!! :haha:

Morning girls, here I am bright and cheery after another good night's sleep :happydance: OMG, it's going to be a shock to me when Monty has a bad night, say with teeth or being unwell.

I'm working this morning to get this project finished and returned to the client and then that's me done for a few days. Prob won't be on again after that until Mon or Tues, so don't do TOO much chatting without me otherwise it takes me ages to catch up!

Monty's birthday is on Saturday. We've bought him a wooden walker (which is in the lounge at the mo, waiting to be wrapped ... he screamed blue murder this morning when he saw it and daddy wouldn't let him play with it!!!), some ELC Wonder Cubes, some stacking cups, and some clothes - including a really cute tank top that OH got in the John Lewis sale yesterday. All quite low-key stuff, but things that he needs or will enjoy, as I didn't see the point going OTT.

All the family are coming up, some staying here, some staying in B&B in the village and some camping. Then it's off to the pub for sarnies and chips, followed by my birthday cupcakes (which is why I absolutely must get this project finished, because I need to get baking the cakes!).

We've got another bday party next week - it's a joint first bday for all the babies from our NCT antenatal class. Monty is the oldest - and the youngest won't actually be one until Xmas time - but we thought it would be nice to do a combined bash.

So, that's me for the morning. Aimee, hope the first day at work went well. Chaos, hang on in there - I hope you are feeling OK. Little Kitten, wherever you are, I hope James had a lovely birthday.

xx

Morning all,

So happy! Chloe did her first steps this morning!!!!! :happydance: :cloud9: She was stood and and started to pivot on her left leg, moving in a circle with her right leg with little steps (kind of like windingherself up :haha:) then she just suddenly went right, left, right, left . . .flop :D Nij and I were there at the same time so I'm so glad we got to see this first together! So proud!

Colsy: Hope the buns are a success, have a fab time it sounds like a fun weekend planned and a pre-birthday message for Monty since you won't be on . . .

Awww, go Chloe :happydance: Monty's still on the cruising stage at the mo, but now and again I spot him letting go for a split second, so I don't think it will too long now.

Talking of milestones, are all the Bumpkins saying words now? Monty is VERY vocal (he always has been ha ha!), but defo no words yet.

I have a chatter box too! She takes after Nij in that department!

We do have a fair few words now, her most favourite still being 'hiya'. She can say 'ta' when we give her things or if she wants to pass us things, 'da/dad', 'ma/mum', 'yea' (yes), 'uh-oh', 'car', 'cat', 'tha' (when pointing at things) and this morning she started to say t-da (teddy). She can shout yeah when she is playing too, usually when chucking a ball!

She does a few other things too, she still likes to blow raspberries but she also does this thing now where she makes a noise and then wibbles her lip with her finger. :haha:

Well done Chloe :)

Sams says mam and dad loads and rambles on in his own language lol but his favourite word is dog. he points at them whenever he sees them and shouts dog.

we were walking up the toilet roll aisle in sainsburys the other day and he's shouting dog dog dog and i said theres no dogs in here but it was because he'd seen andrex on the shelves with the puppy on!

I keep missing everything in this thread because of my stupid computer. :(

Happy birthday to everyone I've missed!

What's everyone got their LOs for their birthday? Apparently I've bought him too much bit I feel the need to buy him more stuff LOL

Oh, and ike is getting awesome at walking. He's not saying much yet though, just mama, nana, yeah and ow.

Morning ladies :)

Happy Belated Birthday James!! Hope you had a good day :)

Happy Birthday Pheobe!! Hope you are having fun celebrating!! :)

Colsy- Hope the project goes smoothly for you so you can finish quickly and get on with your cupcakes and celebrating :) Sounds like a lovely birthday planned! I hope Monty has a very happy birthday on Saturday :hugs: re talking: Emma is a chatterbox too- she says duck, daddy, mummy, that, beasty (our cat, sometimes comes out more like Ti-Ti though), dog, fish (sometimes sounds like "ish"), oh dear ("oh dee"), what's this ("wha dis"). There could be more things she's babbling that I haven't quite decoded yet, lol :) It's the "oh dee" and "wha dis" that made me realize I must say "oh dear" and "what's this?" a lot since she's definitely picked both of those up and in the correct context (she'll drop a toy and say in a very serious tone "oh dee" and pass objects to me and say "wha dis?").

Kte- WTG Chloe!! That's awesome that she did her first steps while you were both around too! Emma is so close (we've had a few single steps but no proper walking- just piles of cruising and speed crawling).

I hope everyone is having a good day! It's rainy here so I think it's going to feel like a really long day, being couped up inside. Yesterday I managed to get both babies down for a nap at the same time and had 2 whole hours to myself- fx'd I can do it again today :)

We do have a fair few words now, her most favourite still being 'hiya'. She can say 'ta' when we give her things or if she wants to pass us things.

Two of missys favourite words too. She puts everything to her ear right now and wanders round the house like its a phone going "Hiya, yeah, yeah, hiya dada!!" heh
