Afternoon girls. Flying visit while James is napping! The journey up wasn't too bad, screamed towards the end but otherwise ok. Had fun dress shopping yesterday even though the woman at one of the places was a complete cow bag. Hopefully going to see another little girl today who is about 6 weeks older than James and is a little flower girl so be cool to see them. Hope everyone is having a good day. Chat to you all tomorrow.

Why is it my mum as a better social life than me though

:haha: My mum too! Is it sad that I'm envious of retirees? lol

yay- weekend! Groceries, house cleaning, cooking and then parents are coming round for dinner. Emma seems to finally be over her cold and teething (for the moment anyway) so she's sleeping better. My sore throat is still there though- grrr...

Hope everyone is having a good day :hugs:

I'm so happy today as Jacob ate loads for his dinner the last 3 nights in a row :) Thursday night was chilli with pasta which he scoffed, last night was just fish fingers, waffle and baby corn and tonight was curried butternut squash risotto and he ate every last drop and even ignored the fact that there was still bread left on the table :) His little canines are poking through now - all four of them! So that'll be 16 teeth!! He was up half the night last night too and slept for almost 3 hours this afternoon, but it hasn't put him of his nights sleep as he was in bed before 7:30 tonight and is snoring his wee head off.

On a funny note, I was in the kitchen last night making tea and Stephen was in the living room with Jacob, next thing I heard this beeping noise and when I looked, Jacob only had the house phone on loud speaker, and had called 999!!!

:haha: good one Jacob kids do love the phone dont they. Ive taken to hiding ours behind the TV.

Well actually pretty much slept through the night so feeling almost human today.

Sounds like all the bumpkins have loads of teeth. N only has 5 is this normal?

Lol, nice one jacob. :) Billy is having his 7th and 8th top next to the front teeth coming thru and he is not crying as much also sleep thru the night no problem.

Billy zonked out after had his morning swimming and he loves it since he was 7 months old.

I am so tired after swimming also couldn't sleep well last night due to the across the road they had the lights on for their wedding and left it on until 2.30-3am!!! *groans*

Fraggles - Earl has 8 teeth (4 front top and bottom) and no signs of any more any time soon. I keep telling him to get a move on as they're supposed to have all 20 by the time they're 2!

Glad to hear we're all doing well. And sleeping well too!

craftymum - glad to hear jacob is doing well.

Glad to hear everyone is ok.

Fraggles - its fine that he has only a few teeth. Every baby is different. I think James has 16 now. He is currently cutting more! Can tell when he is teething cos he gets 1 little rosy cheek whichever side he is cutting it on lol.

Well we had a lovely weekend. Saw another of my friends yesterday which was nice although his flat is so un-baby friendly its not even funny! Was a little bit sad coming home cos I miss my best mate so much since she moved away and wish we were closer. We were always round each others houses before she moved! Luckily James slept most of the way home this afternoon so was a much more chilled journey than on the way up where he protested for a fair bit of the motorway.

Anyone heard from eswift? I wanna know about the test!

shit, shit, shit, shit and double shit. Go check out my journal :shhh:

Frags- Harry has 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom) that are completely through & the points of 3 of his molars have broken through the gums, and giving him hell, so be glad N doesn't have his just yet!!!!

Well, Harry finally seems back to his normal self today- giggling, running about, trashing the lounge with his toys, chatting & pointing at everything again.... Thankgod! i was starting to think he was gonna be a misery guts forever more!

On another great note, since the start of january I've now lost 7 pounds :happydance: I am only 4 lbs off the weight I was at my 12 week scan with Harry & 10 lbs off my pre-preggy weight! Sooooooo pleased but my god it's been tough sticking to my diet but also making sure I'm eating enough that it doesn't affect my milk supply. Mind you, with the amount Harry's been BFing instead of blimming eating (fuss pot when he's teething) I dont think he's giving me chance to lose milk supply, lol!

Frags, does N just have ebm in a cup now then, or do you ever feed him 'direct from the tap' so to speak? Is it easier feeding J thatn it was with N? Have you had any issues yet? (sorry for all the Qs, i just remember how badly you suffered with thrush n stuff last time)

Colsy- have you managed to get Monty off that last night time feed now?

Chaos- am now gonna read your journal :)

argh- Emma has a fever again :( Seems like since she turned 1, she's always sick. I'm calling the doc in the morning for an appt since it's been 2 days now.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekends :hugs:

Fleur with the section I cant pick N up so he has cups/bottles and the times he wants milk clashes with J and dont think I could manage both at the same time. Thankfully no thrush but boy does the cold hurt my nipples. Bit sore at the moment as J as an extremely strong latch and suckle, im hoping that calms down a little. N does come upto me and pats my boobs when he wants milk but he seems happy enough with cups/bottles.

Happy 16 months Emma

Morning all,

Kaites: Sorry to hear Emma is not feeling well again :hugs: Do you think its linked to the daycare? I'm always being warned at Chloe's nursery that something or other is on the rounds. Hopefully when she reaches School age she won't be as ill as her immune system has built up, thats the only thing keeping me sane at the moment with it! It's hard now to see them so ill, I really hope she is okay :hugs: :flower: Happy 16 months, let's hope it gets better for her from now on illness wise :hugs:

Fraggles: There was a thread not too long back about teeth and there were lots of variables of when they popped up so I am sure N is fine :flower: Chloe so far has 12 but with two canine / fangs cutting at the mo, taking their sweet time, so soon to be 14.

Nanaki: Wow, not surprised your tired, I can still remeber the first tri tiredness so looking after a LO and swimming and noisy neighbours!

Flora: Well done on the weightloss  Glad to hear Harry is more chirpy again :D

Craftymum: Well done Jacob! lol Chloe loves playing with phones too, I really need to get her a toy one before she dials 999 by mistake, oh and they can call 112 as well to get to emergency services here too, one to look out for!

Chaos: :hugs: x Posted in your journal :flower:

LK: Glad you had a nice time with your friend

Happy belated 16 months to Harry too!

Kte- I'm not sure if it's daycare related  The fever seems to have broke this morning, but honestly, there is something about all this illness that isn't sitting right with hubby and I. They never knew caused her pleural/pericardial effusions when I was preggers and they seem to have retracted their Kawasaki Disease diagnosis from all the Christmas illness drama but still don't have an explanation for what happened. She still had a slight pericardial effusion at xmas so I'm always going to wonder if all this is somehow related and still not resolved. Everyone has had a cold, but the whole fever/lethargy problem has only happened to Emma- again :( Now that the fever has gone, there isn't much point of me going back to the doctor's with her. I'm just so tired of her always getting sick- can't be much fun for her either!

Colsy- have you managed to get Monty off that last night time feed now?

As of five nights ago, we're down to just one side for the BF. The issue is that the left side has always been his favourite, and he always used to come off the right really quickly so he could have the left side. So, rather stupidly, I've gone to giving him only the left side every evening, so I'm a bit lop-sided now :dohh: Ah well, it means we're getting somewhere, and so far he hasn't protested much. Reckon a couple more weeks and we may be there ...

Sorry if I've missed any other Qs, but I haven't read all the posts yet after the weekend.

 Happy 16 months too Harry! :flower:

Kaites: Would you be able to discuss it with the GP and see if they will look into it more? I'm not surprised your both concerned :flower: :hugs:

Hmmm I'm thinking of getting Chloe a potty. I'm not going to start potty training yet but I guess it can't harm having one in. I'm not sure if she knows she is going or if she just knows when she has gone  The other weekend she came to me and strained so I asked her if she had had a poo and she walked over to the door and took herself upstairs to the bedroom so I could change her bum. So she certainly knows when she has done a poop but she had her nappy off the other week and one just came out (sorry, TMI) and she didn't register it. However, yesterday and recently she has started holding herself, not as in crossing legs holding but holding / touching the front of her nappy. I though this was kind of a sign to me that she'd done a wee but when I took her upstairs and took off her nappy out came the wee :dohh: Unfortuantly it was on the carpet too! So I am thinking, something is going on and so I need one there just in case so if I catch her mid wee I can pop her on / over it and start that way, rather then popping her on the changing mat like I have to now during accidents. I have been eyeballing a few potty's but they don't look that comfy either!

Emma is definitely more aware of her "bodily functions" too. When my mum was babysitting and had her stripped down for a bath, she went to the toilet, tapped the seat and then proceeded to pee all over the floor :dohh: There have also been a couple of times when I've changed her diaper but she goes back to the change table and pats it and sure enough, when I check her, she's peed again. We have a little potty but mostly just use it for poops- I should really start putting her on it when she wakes in the morning and after naps (seems like the diapers aren't as wet in the morning either).

Well... It's a positive!!!

Hope all's well with you all.

I've been tip toeing about, I was so doubtful about it being + as it was rather faint; Aventually got a darker one... Still not been to dr's will go on Friday... I kinda don't want to go; it's as though if I keep it very quiet nothing can go wrong... I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it does to me; I so don't want another MMC...
