Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

To be on the safe side? I'd stop the pill for the month, use condoms and just take some vitamins and see what happens..

^^ wss. Just to be on the safe side... Hope the assignment writing is going well and all this isn't interfering too badly :hugs:

Thanks ladies, im sure its all in my head and im over reacting but i agree, to play it safe. if it werent for last month tjat got me thinking (sorry on phone and my chunky fimgers can hit these tiny keys well) i know would most prob feel same. om feeling a bit more rational about it all xx its not gettimg to mu assignment thanks kaites . trying so hard to stay focused and have brought home lots of lovely books to read this weekend between the ironing and inlaws.

hope eberyone has a lovely weekemd, lookimg forward to my Chloe snuggles :D xx

Morning all up early due to noise on holiday camp I'm not sleeping deep due to a sore neck. Took N swimming he loved it and on a whim I've booked us into butlins the day this holiday ends as I fancied a llonger break.
Kte I'd test use condoms.

Hi everyone!

I hope we're all ok.

Kte - I'd come off, keep safe, test in 2 weeks and then go and see the Dr about an alternative (unless like us you'll start to think about another one after that kind of event! lol).

Fraggles - hope the holiday is going well. Enjoy Butlins!!

I'm ok I guess - shattered due to Earl getting out of bed every 10 minutes from 1am - 3.30am last night, and then getting up at 7.30 lol. I'm still snuffly, AF is here and makign life miserable with backache and stomach ache, and it's cold and miserable again! I liked the nice weather! lol

Earl is napping at the moment so I think I may go and put my feet up for a bit. hubby is watching layer cake - got to love a bit of daniel craig!

Have a nice weekend everyone xx

Aimee: Hope you get a better night with Earl tonight :hugs: The nice weather is supposed to return tomorrow, I hope so!

Fraggles: Enjoy Butlins! Glad your all having a nice time :flower: Hope your neck gets better soon :flower:

Well I am having 5mins before I continue with the housework. We have had a busy morning, I decided on a whim to make chocolate crispie cakes with Chloe, got the mess mat out and put it on the floor so she could stir it all. It was great fun, minus my scales breaking :dohh: Chloe really enjoyed mixing and eating the chocolate, I have attached a pic - is she in chocolate heaven or what! I think she had too much as after every mouth full this cheeky grin appeared from ear to ear and she just giggled at me . . . .so I decided that it was time to take her for a walk in the park! It seems to have worked and she is now napping. The park was fun as she finally mastered the word doggy :happydance: Then she kept waving, pointing and shouting at all the dogs which was cute.

p.s thanks for all the advice :hugs:

Not looking forward to the clocks going forward,! Why can't it be mid-week, weekends go quickly enough! :haha:

cute pic of Chloe, Kte! :)

I let harry paint today, which he enjoyed but he was more excited by the fact he was able to have a midday bath. the kid is obsessed with water these days. :dohh: Will be nice when it's warm enough to get the paddling pool out again

Kte - i agree with the others lol. Just play it safe and take some vitamins. They certainly won't do you any harm

Well we have had a lovely few days. Went to Tyntesfield on Thursday which James loved and was running around in the fields. Then yesterday we went to Dyrham Park with my sister and her 2 kids which was great. We had a little picnic in the grounds and then walked up a big grassy hill rather than taking the windy path back up to the car park. James walked the whole way up it all by himself :cloud9: Then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the garden with James's kitchen. Today we went over to the shopping centre and got me some new work shoes. Then played at my sisters house and made cookies...which we burnt :dohh: Now James is being a little clingy monkey lol.

I have decided there is a baby boom going on around here! Maybe its just me being hypersensitive with supposedly being TTC next month but everywhere I look there are pregnant women! At the park 3/4 of the mums were pregnant and at the shops today I saw at least 5! I'm jealous :nope:

Kte ~ Hope you find out 1 way or the other, don't stress too much over you assignment. Stay positive... Love the picture of Chloe!

LK ~ Great new over FOB, hope it's plain sailing from here on in...

Fraggles ~ Hope you had a fantastic holiday...

Chaos ~ Hope you're doing well...

I'm 12 weeks this week, I've my scan on Tuesday. I am so nervous! I really am Dreading it... OH is trying to put my mind at rest, but I think once I've seen I'll be much better. Not sleeping so well at the moment tossing and turning all night... Morning sickness is now getting set in... It seemed every time I moved and every time I ate I had to dash... To top it all off I've had a bloody head ache for the last 3 days... Then I've now started with eczema on my feet... I'm going to see if I can book to see GP on Tuesday...

Hope you're all well and I'm sorry for moaning, just wish I was one of those women who did pregnant well... LOL Instead I've come to the definate conclusion this LO is going to be my last... Seem's I'm only early doors and yet I'm wishing it away already...

Thanks for all your kind wishes ladies :flower::hugs:

Kte- could be your pill messing you up I would stay off it though as the other's have suggested :hugs:
LK- so glad you have things sorted with fob at last :flower:

If i've missed anyone sorry hope everybody is ok and lo's, bumps etc x:hugs:

Evening ladies,

Just a quickie whilst chloe plays nice and quiety (throwing teddy across room :haha:). What a day, I was on form until inlaws came. Only have some ironing and assignment to do. Was hoping to have done a bit of each by now but Nij isn't even back from work, he will be soon but he's had a tough one and so that will take some time up too when he gets back in.

Eswift: Hope you feel better soon and your pregnancy starts being kind to you :flower: Hope everything goes well for your scan and you don't worry yourself too much :hugs:

LK: Sounds like you had lots of fun :flower: Shame about the cookies :D

Morning!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Not too much new here- we were still all getting over our colds so we didn't do much. Took Emma to 2 different parks in the neighbourhood and went to my parents for dinner. It amazes me how far Emma can walk these days- it's about 400m to the park and she walked both ways and found a ball at the park that she ran around playing soccer with for ages. She she napped well after that! Not much new on the skunk front- I think the smell has finally cleared from our house (I'm still congested) but they have been making their presence known in the neighbourhood. We have a person coming round today to do an estimate to have them removed. They guessed over the phone that it would be ~$600 to have the skunks removed and have the area under the step deodorized and sealed off  Argh, not really how I'd like to spend $600 :(

Just a quickie fromme today- slept in a bit and still need to do the floors. Hope everyone is having a good day and :hugs: to those that need them!

Afternoon all, just arrived at Butlins for next part of our holiday. N is mesmerized already. Very warm and sunny.

Fraggles, I am well impressed you doing all that on your own. Not sure I'd be dead keen on trying to sort out one let alone two holidays without assistance. I hope you have a fab time

Very quick from me - still ploughing through the huge project on my desk. So far it's going well and who knows ... we might even be able to pay some bills soon without resorting to the baby savings pot :dohh: (Just don't tell the grandparents! Ha, I am only joking, lest you all think that's really a terrible thing to do ... but I won't say I haven't been tempted )

We had a brilliant weekend (friends' wedding on Friday, family catch-up Saturday, big family anniversary dinner Sunday) but I've got a bit of the post-party blues now. It ain't helped by the insidious feeling of guilt I seem to be left with every time I see my mum. Won't bore you all with that now, as it would take many aeons to write everything. But suffice to say that almost all the time I realise how much I don't want Monty to grow up an only child.

Sorry, I feel like I've put a right downer on my post now - and I didn't mean to at all. Apart from that bit, everything's pretty cool - just a bit manic as I try hard to get this job done and we start to prepare for OH's first lot of working away this season.

Hugs to you all xxx

Colsy I have some family with me. The second holidayt I booked last minute wasn't ready to come home. N is currently dancing along to a show and j is fast asleep on me. The sea air as them sleeping all night too. I don't want to go home lol

Afternoon all,

Ugh I think I burnt my soup :( Although the setting is an automatic 3 mins and all the rest of the times I cooked it it's been fine but, ugh! It taskes like red lard  Ah well.

Taking a break from the assignment, sorry to bang on about it. Its all I can't think about yet can't get the bloomin words out again! Well, I am worrying I can't fit it all in, then I worry it isn't critical enough to get a higher grade, then I worry I don't have enough references etc etc etc so I am taking a break and visiting you all :hugs:

Fraggles: Certainly sounds like a lot of fun. Ive been tempted before to keep going on a holiday but finance or work gets in the way, if you get the chance, why not I say!

Kaites:  How much to remove a skunk! Im guessing thats per household as well, that's crazy! I hope you get some sort of guarantee that it will stay away. Hope you all feel better soon :flower:

Colsy: :hugs: I am glad you had a nice time at the parties and seeing everyone. Sorry to hear about you not feeling so great afterwards. I think I know where your coming from about your Mum from other posts. The only think I think sometimes is, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, that who is to say a sibling would share all of that burden with Monty? I am always like this when I think of having another, me and my middle sis get on fine, us and elder sister not. It's a chance but never a dead cert that they are / aren't going to get along and help each other out. E.g there is a colleage here who's mother lives further down south and should really be in a care home, a bit extreme but bare with me, the sister looks after her more as she lives closer and the colleague does step in now and then but usually on holidays and so isn't there all the time like the sister. Trying to help you stop feeling so guilty here but the assignment has turned my brain to mush so I hope it's coming out right :hugs:

:hi: has the clocks changing messed anyone's sleep up? I'm finding it really hard to sleep at night, but could quite happily drift off during the day & last night, harry didn't go to sleep till nearly 10pm (was chatting away, playing with his toys, & shouting random words like 'foot' 'yeah', 'ello' n stuff- odd child!) and I had to walk him to the postbox (to post the census) & back, then to the shops (for bread) & back, just to wear him out so he'd go down for his nap, which was nearly 4pm by the time he fell asleep & has only just woken up now at nearly 6pm :dohh: Gonna be a late night again i guess.

Got a couple of pics to share of Harrybo. He's gotten really into building blocks & blimmin boxes, along with anything to do with water or paints. x I love how proud of himself he looks at his tower- with every brick he placed, he clapped his hands & said 'well done' to congratulate himself!!!

Flora love your pics of Harry, he's such a wee cutie. Jacob also loves building blocks.
We've all had stinking colds which are starting to lift a bit now, they coincided well with the clock change though as Jacob was so shattered, he went up at his usual time anyway and slept all night.
Kte Wow!!!!! I hope you find out soon, take care of yourself in the meantime and def come off the pill just in case.

My little bit of news is that Jacob - with his new shoes on, and holding my hands, walked a little round the back garden today. I was taking most of his weight, but he did do it and out his feet on the ground instead of just swinging his knees down onto the ground :)
I rewarded him with lots of praise and a few goes on his slide. Hopefully his physio appointments come through soon and we can really get to work with him, as judging by his giggles, he was enjoying it.
