Exactly, this has been my beef for a while, its slowly sinking in after much nagging but I shouldn't have to! I stopped doing his washing last year after he buggered off for a bi, I do Chloe's but the rest he does now. On his days off, even if he just spend one day on the house, it would be better. He does stuff now and then but its not consistent enough, its when he is in the mood. I'm never in the mood but its just got to be done and it makes life a little easier.

There is a job upstairs I would love, more money, Fridays off, it would be perfect! Shame it's taken :haha:

:nope: :growlmad:

Take after them mummy Kte :haha:

We need to brave another haircut as its too long for this heat. Im expecting tears for that.

Mum's are the best to take after  :haha:

Hope he will be okay. I was considering doing Chloe's myself when the time came but considering the state of Fluffy from his trim it's a big no

I wouldn't know where to start he has so much of it. He gets his hair done mre than I do.

Fraggles and Kte - Hubby does Earl's hair and has since done mine aswell. Some £6 scissors from boots have more than paid for themselves lol. He got a 'how to' guide off the internet I think. I'll ask him for the link when he emerges from the kitchen....the mad man has decided to cook a stir fry!!

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone....I'm feeling a lot better and the nausea has worn off a bit- only happens when I yawn now so I just have to stop getting so tired out lol. I'm actually feeling a lot better - I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just feel a lot more relaxed. Work isn't getting on top of me, and I've generally just calmed down lol. Weird but nice....I'm still not 100% ok about it, but having spoken to hubby who has done lots of research on my behalf while he's been at home, I'm willing to carry on.

Just been for some bloods done at the docs, I do hate fasting blood tests. Aimee its holding him down thats the problem he's really scared of the hair cutting. Fine with cutting nails etc but go near his hair and he's almost hysterical

Hope everything is okay Fraggles :hugs: I think Chloe would freak too, or try to grab as she wants to brush her own hair but I have to untangle it first and her mitts are always in there. Poor N with all that hair if he hates having it cut, hopefully he will accept it soon and not freak so much. Maybe when J starts having them with him more regularly too, it may help

Afternoon all :flower:

Wow what a warm night it was here last night. How is everyone else coping? (Chaos is probabliy laughing at us now the pro :haha:) It was 27 degrees in Chloe's room but I was too paranoid to leave her window open - its the ' fire escape' window and I just had visions of her learning to climb out of her cot and fall out. Its a funny handle but my niece managed to open it when I was giving my Sis a tour of the nursery before Chloe was even born, so my niece must of been around 2 at the time, so not good! Need to invest in a safety catch before she gets her toddler bed! Why-o-why did I not consider child safety and that window all those years ago?! So, anyway, last night she was pretty much naked minus the nappy with a fan in her room (not blowing on her, just circulating the air).

haha was 97 here yesterday BUT we have air conditioning in all the houses over here, so nice and cool in my house ;) I don't go outside in that heat unless I have to. ick ick ick.

Hi girls. Thankfully AF has finally arrived so apart from being in pain I'm feeling a lot better. The antibiotics seem to be working cos I've had no pain in my ear since yesterday woop woop. Having a rather indulgent day today and treated myself to McDonalds for breakfast. Just came online to buy one of those pre-paid prescription thingys cos I'm on 3 different types of regular meds plus prone to stupid infections so much cheaper this way. Now I'm off to do some food shopping and then going to chill with a book. Taking James to the drs at 5.30 after picking him up from nursery cos we are back to having really gross nappies again for no obvious reason and the hernia is getting bigger. On the upside he now weighs 24lbs 13oz and is 85cm tall.

Afternoon all. Gosh, is it me, or are there quite a few of us on here at the moment having 'issues' or one sort or another? Hugs to Aimee, Kte, LK and Fraggles, who all sound like you're going through some tough times.

Bit of a rushed job today, so just popping in quickly to say hello. Working most of today, with an hour or so off this afternoon for a surestart class that we go to.

Ain't going to mention sleep and bed issues ... suffice to say that each time I ever say on here that things are going good, they seem to go downhill for a bit ... And this time I ain't jinxing it thankyou very much :)

Thank yous to everyone - I'm feeling a lot better in myself. Had a bit of a setback last night as hubby talked me into doing a HPT and got a BFN. I've not got anything one way or the other, I think AF should be due at the weekend, so I'm certain we're out this month. TBH, I think it would have been too much like stress if it had been a BFP but it's still disappointing to see that blank space where a line should be. :nope: Seems that everyone is getting pregnant bar me! lol :dohh:

Day off today. we were supposed to be going on a bit of a playdate this afternoon with the next door neighbour but she cried off. I'm not too disappointed as Earl has taken to waking up at 4am! I'm shattered. He's been in bed for night on 2.5 hours now, and I'm surprised I've managed to stay awake lol. This is the 2nd morning it's happened, so I'm hoping to wear his out at softplay this afternoon and get some more sleep.

Have a good day ladies. :flower: Be on later. xx

Colsy: Don't know what you mean so no jinx here :winkwink:

Yeah, as my Mum would say, 'the bugger it up fairy' has been again.

Aimee: Sorry to hear you got a BFN :hugs: I don't know what it is but like you say, even if you think it's a no and it is, it still dissapointing. Hopefully now your feeling a bit better it will help things along for you :flower: Hope you manage to tire Earl out, 4am's not good! Hope you can catch up on some sleep too!

LK: Glad you are feeling better :flower:

Still battling the fleas at the moment. My gawd these things are relentless :nope: Had one on Chloe this morning at the bus stop :growlmad: I have found some tablets online but can't get them until tomorrow, £9.50 a pack but they kill fleas on your pet in 15 mins hurray! Then it's vac, vac, vac and powder again and again!

My treat right now - hot chocolate! Where did that sunshine go?! :flower:

Kte ~ ack fleas are a pain in the arse. Have you thought about just getting a flea bomb for the whole house? As I'm sure you know they will lay eggs in any fabric carpet .. SO hard to get rid of :( I always had good success with .. crap ... its that stuff you put on the back of the neck, 1 treatment. Vets carry it. It will come to me.

So did any of you notice Fleur announcing she's expecting on FB yesterday?? :D I told her to get her butt on here!!!

They all have the spot on stuff and I have been using some powder on the carpets. I haven't reverted to the bomb stuff but I am seriously tempted, need to look into it to see what I need to do in regards to Chloe. One cat also has a flea collar on as well as the spot stuff and I brush them every day too. I think the spot on stuff we got may have been washed off a bit on one hence the collar. You can get Frontline from the vets or Bob Martins spot stuff from stores, we chose the latter due to funds but its I'm seeing its one of those false economy things now! The fleas are laughing at me as I have a certificate from my Pets at Home training days in flea prevention! :haha: I'm desperate, I will be sticking bowls all over the house during the day so the buggers can ping in and drown. I hate killing critters but these really must be eradicated!

Yeah, glad you did  She is naughty going AWOL!!!

Yes! Front line that's it!

With regards to Fleabomb, I think you put one on each floor of the house, or each room and then you set them off, having to leave the house for a few hours cause you're basically fumigating it.

I take it they are out door cats? Our dog used to get fleas from hedgehogs .. one day she went and stuck her nose against one to sniff it and you could see them leaping on to her! And she was a rough collie .. ack!!

Two are, one is now indoors poor guy as the old lady across the way keeps stealing him!

Hmm, need to plan what to do for a few hours and get some bombs in me thinks!

Ooh I really must treat my cat to prevent any fleas, those little blighters are a nightmare to get rid off and I'm allergic to the little buggers bites too!
Hope everyone is ok, Jacob is teething like crazy at the minute and it's causing him to throw full on temper tantrums, this morning he got so stressed he threw himself back and whacked his head off the floor - my hubby heard the thud from our kitchen and we have carpet too! A bit of calpol and a chew on one of those teething rings you keep in the fridge though soon sorted him out. Though his mood was grumpy on and off all day with another episode after lunch. He's getting the last 4 molars and like all his other teeth, they are all coming at once, poor wee man :(
As for me, I had the mirena coil fitted almost 6 weeks ago and after almost 2 weeks, took my period (an extremely scarily heavy one) and it hasn't stopped since :( Really hope it eases up soon as heavy prolonged periods were the reason I had it fitted in the first place!

Hi girls! Well feeling much better now. No ear ache for 2 whole days. Back on nights tonight for 3 nights, then 2 nights off and another 3 nights, finish 7am Friday morning, drive 2 hours home, sleep a couple hours and then drive to Cornwall for a hen weekend woop woop! Can't wait. Gonna be absolutely awesome. A whole weekend of no child, lots of booze, zorbing and body boarding! :happydance:

Anybody else here who hasn't yet left baba for a whole night without Mummy or Daddy? It's our first night this weekend. I'm not worried about Monty, as I know he will be fine with his grandparents, but I am slightly concerned on their behalf in case he doesn't sleep. Hmmmm.

So how come FloraBean's on FB but not here? FB, get off FB and get BnB-ing again. We miss you :)
