Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Fraggles, hope everything is ok with your lil boy! Thinking of you.

Aimee, hope you will have a great holiday - depends on the wethere and where you are going. :)

Milosmummy, I think its quite bad to have a lot of mistakes to make from the person who sent you the reports! I dont like few things wrong but I always set them correct and you re able to do so.

And to other ladies, hope you all ok and having a good week.

I have been going out twice this week to meet a friend and did a lot of catch up to do with him as I havent seen him since before Billy was born. He was having a bad time thru the split of his gf who dont want to stay with him and dont love him anymore so he hit the rock bottom! He did put the weight on and he has chasing after Billy when I had my break after watched him on slide which he loves! I worn out completely with a baby in me to carry! lol...

And Billy has learnt 3 new signs - Key, toilet and wee wee! Also I think he is going thru teething again - sharp ones at the front you know?

I am going off and lurking in 3rd tri as I dont have any long left to meet my son and will be seeing my consultant on Wed 10th with me Mum and an interpreter.

Speak later xxxx

Hi girls. Fraggles hope all is well. I too am unsure why your in?

Not much to report here cept I must have slept funny last night cos my neck is killing me and can only look right!

Fraggles and Nanaki - we're going to Leitrim in Ireland. Going to rain whatever time you go....it's ireland. We always go by the adage that when they built Ireland, they left the roof off! :haha:

Fraggles. Hope everything is well and that you get home swiftly and smoothly.

Hope everyone else is ok. Packing nearly done. Tea's in the oven. Big Bang Theory on the tv and off for a bath after that.

This time tomorrow we'll be half way there! (wow that's depressing considering we're setting off at 6! lol

We are having tests/treatment for GORD we get home weekends but its horrid him going through all the tests. We spent most of today in cardiology, I miss N too. Don't think I've been this tired since I had a newborn

Afternoon ladies :flower:

Aimee - I know you are on your way, but enjoy your holiday! :flower:

Fraggles: Glad you get to come home and they manage to sort J out soon enough so no more tests and hospitals etc Certainly explains why he hasn't been into food like N at the start :hugs:

Nanaki: How is the bump belt? Is it helping? Well done Billy on the new sighns  Hope his teeth cut through soon enough :flower:

LK: Hope your neck eases up.

Kaites: Hope your still enjoying yourself :flower:

:hugs: For everyone else :flower:

Not a huge amount to report here at the mo, Chloe had another Daddy-Daughter day yesterday, think they had fun, she came back all muddy lol. She had a poo last night at about 11 and her bum was really really sore from it, it smelt a treat (sorry tmi!) Hoping its nothing sinister lurking. She was fine this morning though, she did come into bed with us last night, it was hilarious, sprawled out, she claimed her space alright! Thankfully she wasn't too fidgety.

So anyone any plans for the weekend? I have a mad washing session to do tonight as tomorrow afternoon I'm off to support the Derby team I skate with and help on the merch stand; my first offical bout attendance even if I'm not skating. Chloe will be helping me and Nij is coming along with his camera to take some pics. I'm quite excited. Had my 3rd session of training last week, it is so much fun! Certinaly what I was looking for! Afterwards, possibly a house warming party depending on the finishing time, I hope we can fit both in, its for Chloe's god parents. Sunday - relax and most likely inlaws, which is fine since I am away next weekend again with Chloe for my nephews christening and blessings. Going to be good and a nice chance to catch up with the family . . . just need something to wear!

Hmmm . . . With all this on I really should update Chloe's journal!

i cant belive my baby boy is two soon!! its gone soo slow i think, but loved every min!

hes a big boy now, no more dummies & in a big boys bed!! lol although he does not sleep well now! takes him about 2 hours to give in and sleep! epesh in the day!

Kte, yes the support belt has helped a lot. I will use it if I go for a long walk or something. So yesterday and today has been resting days but I dont feel good as it just the pregnancy-related thingy!

Nothing much to say really. Have a nice weekend you ladies! xxx

Morning all (just!)

Did everyone have a nice weekend?

Fraggles - hope it was nice being at home and hope you don't have to go back in for too long :flower:

All grand here but rushing to get work done so can't stop. Hello to all :) xxx

Good weekend here too  Just got back from the lake last night- sad to see our vacation over but I suppose we still have weekends to enjoy before the season is over. How was your weekend Kte?

I only have one daycare kiddie today so I'm hoping to get out for a little field trip (well, other than our usual neighbourhood ones)- the plan is to take the city bus and then head to a museum that has dinosaur stuff. Should be fun!

had a pretty okay weekend over here. me and OH took milo to the zoo with my sister and her step-son. he had fun, but wasnt too interested in the animals. only one he liked watching was the monkies. go figure :dohh:

Had a relaxing weekend of playing. Missing my big boy now. Will be glad to get home. Hoping to have a zoo trip soon.

Kaites: How did the trip out go? The dinosaur museum sounds like fun!

My weekend was good. We all went to the Roller Derby event, Chloe helped me sell merch . . well, Chloe behaved very well and drew and played whilst I sold merch. Then she shouted and clapped with everyone :haha: The house warming party after was great, even if we arrived a little late. I had a few glasses of wine for once  and Chloe played nicely with their little boy Jacob and his cousin Jess, they were all going crazy for bubbles outside. It's really funny how Jacob calls her 'baby Chloe'.

Manages a lie in Sunday from the late night and then it was just play. We watched what felt like a gazillion Peppa Pig episodes and then I couldn't take any more (as much as I like Peppa) and I stuck Monsters Inc on and we watched that together before Nij got home.

Fraggles: :hugs:

The museum trip went fantastic! Makes me want to do more little trips on the bus with the kids- just a bit tricky logistically when they are all here (might have to recruit my parents to help, lol). Emma rode in the carrier on my back for the bus trip and her friend was in the stroller for most of the ride. Once we were at the museum, they had double wagons, so I was able to leave the stroller in the coat-check and pull them around in the wagon (well, when they would sit in it, which wasn't too often). I had a hard time getting photos of the kids- no flash so the lights were a bit too dim and it didn't help that they kept running from dinosaur skeleton to dinosaur skeleton! We had a picnic in the park after and then they fell asleep on the bus on the way home. Unfortunately for me, that was the only nap they took though :dohh: I was exhausted by the end of the day and was hoping for a little break! I've got all the kids here today so it's back to the park- not that it's a bad thing- still an outing and Emma gets to play with a couple of the neighbourhood girls (daycare kids are still all boys)

Kte- sounds like a good weekend :) I love Monsters Inc- sounds silly but I can't wait til Emma has a longer attention span so we can watch animated movies. She's usually good for the first 5 mins but then is off playing.

Fraggles- Hope you get home to N soon :hugs:

Milosmommy- the zoo sounds fun!

Well, I better go re-tidy the daycare room- it was looking good until Emma went to play there after dinner last night and now there are toys strewn everywhere again :dohh: Have a good day everyone!

Well . . . it was me more watching with the occasional cuddle!

Glad the trip went well :flower:

Hi girlies. Hope everyone is well. I'm feeling alot better. Back at work from yesterday and on nights tonight, tomorrow and Thursday, doing extra hours on Friday evening and then working 1pm to 7pm Saturday. So...I have some gossip for you hehe. I am meeting up with a lovely guy soon. He is also a single parent and has 4 little girls who are 10, 6, 4 and 8 months. We've been chatting for about a week and spent an hour and a half on the phone night before last. He is absolutely lovely and we are getting on like a house on fire hehe. Anyhoo better get off to get ready for work. Chat to you all soon :)

Hi gals, I've been a bit slack in posting lately, or I'll answer a quick Q but without updating in the Bumpkins bit. Anyhow, all is generally good here. We had the most brilliant carnival week - loved every minute and am now paying for it by being tired after so many late nights! Monty had a great week, loads of different things for him that he doesn't usually do, FAR too much excitement

He's looking very chubby suddenly. This can't possibly be because he doesn't do enough exercise, because he is non-stop all day. I think some of you on here have mentioned that chubbiness often precedes a growth spurt, so maybe we're due a height increase in the next few days. We also think his final teeth are coming through, as his hands are in his mouth all the time and he's starting to dribble again - I hope they come through OK, for both his and our sake.

AF due on Monday, and it already feels like it's going to come - so yet another non-BFP month for me:shrug: Unless I turn out to be one of those girls that says 'I was convinced AF was due, cos I had cramps etc., and then I got my BFP'. Ho hum, wishful thinking eh? Still, it's only our 10th week of NTNP, so can't really whinge too much.

I am mad busy with work today and tomorrow, as I won't be working next week so need to get all projects off my desk.

As for the shite that's happening in our cities  WHAT is going on? Horrible horrible horrible. Makes me very upset when I see the news. I won't be watching tonight.

Hi girls, I've been slack posting too  Two essays back-to-back then straight into placement has kept me hopping! I hurt my back a couple of weeks ago too, so it's been all added stress that I didn't really need!

Roo has been a delight lately - long may that continue  She finally got over the "I hate Mummy" phase and will now play with me / come to me just as often as Daddy. Which is great for both of us - Daddy gets a break and I stop feeling like a pariah  Her latest feat is singing Momo's and Miss Mouse's songs from "Show Me, Show Me", which is adorable.

Anyways, off to get some nappies on to the heated airer (seeing as the weather has decided to revert to being pants :growlmad:)

Will try and catch up properly soon. :hugs: to all xx

I am wondering if there is a bit of a growth spurt going on has we have had a 3lb weight gain in the last 3 months which is loads compared to the 1lb gained in the 3 months prior  Means a new car seat due and struggling to choose.

Spent far too many days in hospital over the last few weeks with the little one, but hoping the new medicine will continue to work.

LK sounds like there is a wealth of men where you live, hope when you meet you have a nice time :)
